Any thoughts on the potential case breakdown? That may help more so in guessing at chase figures. Will they stick with the 4/3/2/1/1/1 ratio or will they mess with it? My guess is it will stay the same, they have no real good reason to change it.
4 Stormtrooper - makes sense from an army building perspective and Medicom has demonstrated that for the most part they have a good grasp on the collecting marketplace.
3 - Vader. Probably, given the overwhelming popularity of the character in both PT and OT. I could see this being 4 per box rather than the stormie though. I'd consider the number fairly interchangeable and cannot see Vader being less than 3 per box as a regular, he's just too popular.
2 - This one feels fairly up for grabs, could be Emperor, Han or Luke. Luke would be logical and a nifty way to part with spares of Vader, you could sell them as two packs to folks. This is probably where my guess will end up as we don't really have an easily accessible Luke for most people.
1 - Nien Nunb I think is a no brainer here. Gratuitous alien that doesn't otherwise fit the series. He's an alright character, but not a must-have in any line so singles are the best way to ensure value and popularity.
1- Emperor. He's cool and instrumental to both trilogies (depending on what you call him at a given moment in time) but is almost in that boat with Nien. He's far more important to the overall story, but if it's an OT lineup, he's really only in the one movie in a significant fashion. I think they can get away with him as a single. Depends on the homage to ROTS as well though, where his role will be the largest.
1 - Han Hoth. I'm not convinced he should be a single figure but given we already have two Han figures as it is, I think he will be. Great character, but I don't think there'd be a lot of complaints if he was only one per box, Han fanatics aside.
I could see them evening out the stormtrooper/vader/luke ratio to three of each and that would increase the odds a bit for the chase pieces.
I'm leaning towards chase versions of the stormtrooper (alternate figure entirely - tie pilot, snowtrooper, etc.) and then minor variations on Luke (battle damaged or clean?) and Vader (RH, lightning head). No matter how you cut it, it's going to be a mighty cool line.
Wonder if Luke and Vader will have removable hands?
