1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / New Han, Lando Skiff Guard & AT-ST Driver...

Hasbro has put up their preview pictures of the new 12" Han Solo, Lando Skiff Guard and AT-ST Driver.  You can see their complete story here.  I don't do the 12" line any more myself, but that Lando looks pretty nice with his Skiff Guard helmet on.  And does anyone else notice a startling resemblance between the AT-ST Driver and a certain former Tonight Show host?!  (check out this close up)  :D

Hasbro says these figures are due out March 10th.  So, what do you guys think of 'em?

Well, looks like there are two NEW head variants for the Saga Rebel Fleet Trooper, just like the Imperial Officer.  Several 'Scum members are reporting finding two different ones (neither of which is the POTJ version), and Paul of Alliance Collectibles sent a scan of the supposed second new one in to ArtoosNews.  From the sounds of things, only the two new heads will be released on the Saga cards for both the RFT and IO, and NOT their previous POTJ heads.

Give us a shout here if you discover anything to the contrary folks!

I think they'll most likely wind up in the new Clone Wars packaging - which should be different from the regular Saga packaging (like the old SOTE change).

I just found the one pictured in the middle.  The last one is obviously the POTJ version, and I'm not even certain if they'll be releasing his noggin' again on a Saga card, or just the two new ones...  But it is pretty cool of Hasbro to bust out three heads on this bad boy, huh?  It's just a shame that it was all wasted on an Officer in a (wrinkled) jumpsuit, rather than the standard (flat) tunic uniform...

Pete over at TPU has just added another long list of Hasbro's possible 2003 line from a scoop he received.  Some pretty interesting tidbits in there, but as always, this is only speculation until confirmed by Hasbro, but it certainly is a fun read.  Hope it's all true!  Check it out at http://books.dreambook.com/tpu/probenews.html (scroll down a little).

So what do you guys think?  What would you greatly look forward to from that list?  Basically all of the OT stuff has me very excited!  Throne Room Set?  Get outta here!  That would be a dream come true!

Here's a Star Wars Lego picture with some of the new mini-sets in it (second shelf).  Thanks to JediCrippler for pointing it out over at GH.  Looks like there's a Republic Gunship, AT-AT, Battle Droid Carrier, and a Millenium Falcon.  I believe the next ship to be "put together" through the purchase of all 4 sets (like the Tie Bomber) will be the Y-Wing.  Cool to see Lego continuing to hammer out these mini ships.  Love 'em!

I remember when I almost spent $400 to pick up a Vintage A-Wing and Skiff back in early 1995 at a huge Las Vegas toy convention.  I hesitated due to the rumors of the potential "modern era" re-release of figures that might soon be coming...  VERY glad that I did.

Never got a Vintage Shuttle, so I jumped on my local FAO's list immediately when the news on this first came out.  Hopefully my local store gets it's shipment in from the main distribution warehouse soon!  Sounds like they will!

There's still word coming out of DisneyWorld in Orlando that they've got the Shuttles too, and for only $100!  I went to Disneyland on Saturday, but there weren't any Shuttles, and the cashiers there hadn't heard of their Star Traders store potentially getting any of them in either.  Oh well.  But if Disneyland does get them in soon, I'll be buying one there and returning my FAO one!!!  ;)

I've been waiting nearly two decades for this bad boy.  Patience is a virtue, ain't it...?   :)

Just hang on to your full price receipt max (you've got 3 months to return it).  Do a little more searching around, and if you happen to get lucky and find another one at $10, just buy it and return it on your original full price receipt.  Problem solved!

But I'm guessing most Walmarts will be catching on pretty soon, and updating the Bomber prices to the correct full price, rather than the old POTJ clearance price, so look fast!

Nope, not in AOTC.   But I'm pretty sure this Tank rehash is being released in the 'Clone Wars' line, which will pretty much be "EU", so they can take some liberties...

Nothing wrong with repeating anything Brad!  I fully expect EVERYONE to repeat some of my thoughts - like Greedo shooting first...  That's got to be on everybody's list if they've got half a brain.  :)

Repeat away if you like folks.  I didn't leave you guys much of a choice considering how crazy in-depth I went with my analysis there!

But Brad definitely picked up on one PRO that I certainly forgot - the chance to see the Original Trilogy back on the big screen.  Most definitely!  Silly me for forgetting that no-brainer...  That was the biggest PRO of all IMO!  :)
