On a related note, I wouldn't have minded if Hasbro had replaced one of the Troopers with a Torryn Farr body and a new headsculpt. There were at least a few other female techs in Echo base.

Sure, but that would require effort and a little less margin on these cash grab sets.

I know it's not canon, but I wouldn't mind a few female and alien versions of some of these characters. I get that'd greatly increase the tooling costs, but my rebel army is kind of a sausage party at this point. Leia, Toryn Farr, Mon Mothma and the 2 or 3 female pilots can only do so much.

Maybe not film canon, but it is definitely a part of the EU canon (in both the Disney EU and Legends EU).

i think that was one thing that I really loved about the TLC Rebel Pilot Evolution sets. I'd love to see that continue. If they keep diversifying rebel army builders, I'll keep buying them.

And yes, dream killing is my natural state.  That said, echo base trooper holsters make reasonable RFT holster substitutes.  Buddy showed me those holsters fit nice.

Add me to the “I wish we got female and alien” Rebel extras here and there too.  They made a RFT female for the old west end games minis and I would love a female fleet trooper figure ever since I saw that mini.

Hoth Rebel Troop Builder 4-Pack

I was checking out Bossk's Bounty this morning, and this episode was about unproduced TVC figures.  One of which seems to be the moustachioed figure in this group.  I didn't catch this part of the Hasbro panel, but I'm planning on going back to watch it.  Because the trooper with the mustache appears to be Major Bren Derlin!

Yeah, in the panel Hasbro confirmed that two of these troopers are named troopers and the other two are made up by Hasbro.

Oh don't worry I'm sure Hasbro will issue a new one using this body sometime in the next 1-3 years. Didn't that TVC books how pictures of an unproduced Bren Derlin using this same body before he was repurposed into a generic trooper?

The Bossk's Bounty video that I mentioned earlier in the thread was based on the section of unproduced TVC figures from the Blue Milk book.  In that case I think the Major Derlin was supposed to come in a TVC deluxe set like the old Kmart TVC exclusives - but this would be an Echo Base command center release.  That was also supposed to be the original way Toryn Farr was planned to be released.

Truth be told, I think the Saga Collection sculpt of Major Derlin is more accurate, even if it's lacking in articulation.

I guess I should have looked at a comparison image first. For some reason I was remembering their uniforms to be MUCH closer.

Looking it again, now I also want a new Bren Derlin. Are there many other officers besides general Reikan that wear the same uniform? I couldn't find many screenshots if there were.
