If it wasn't for the vintage section (vintage is all I collect) I'd have no reason to go there.  It is by far the best vintage forum out there in terms of knowledge base and traffic.  I loathe Phil Wise and would rather not support any site of his, but considering vintage is my only interest I still visit for that sole reason.  I won't touch Wuher's Cantina for many reasons (and members) that I won't get into at the moment.

I think most people consider the vintage community a world unto itself - it belongs in a more mature place than RS.  The vintage guys are nothing like some of the numbnuts that post in Wuher's.

I agree that RS is the only place for Vintage talk.  There have been efforts by various disgruntled people to move the community, but it won't budge.  It'd take something catastrophic to compel a migration at this point.

Well, some of us here are trying to get the vintage section here going. Dale and Brent are leading the front in getting the vintage talk running. But yeah, most of the knowledge base is at RS, which is why I still go there, just to look at vintage (and the Chicago reports).

I don't even read the Customs area there anymore...  That used to be something I checked nightly.

Traffic or not, it's just not good anymore...  Like Rob put it, I'd rather not have to wade through the **** to find anything worth reading, and that's how I've felt for a while.

Half the modern sections are filled with yutz's asking about what ____ is worth...  Call me crazy, but as a collector that's not the kinda question that gets me to warm up to anyone.  Heard it way too much in line on 4/2.   

Nothing personal with me as far as PW or whatever...  Their site (and TFN) are really just **** anymore.

Personally, I'd rather not have to wade through rubbish to find decent discussion.  Traffic or not.

Seriously. Newbies are running the forums now with practically no moderation (with respect to the overwhelmed good mods over there.)
