TESB Black Series 40th Anniversary Collection

Dagobah Luke is coming on the 40th card in a wave 3 Hasbro didn't announce, along with Vader, Chewie, Boba Fett, and a Snowtrooper. Wonder why these didn't get mentioned at all?

Weird.  Because this shelf tag seems kind of authoritative.

It is my understanding that ESB 40th Wave 3 has a solo carded Dagobah Luke, while the Box Set is Dagobah Luke + Yoda (both repacks from the 40th carded line).  At one point the Luke/Yoda set was going to be Amazon in US (like Chewie/3PO last year) and TRU in Canada, but not sure if that is set in stone yet.

Hasbro did not announce Wave 3 of the ESB carded stuff because they have to save some reveals for Celebration.  Revealing a fan choice figure like Dagobah Luke during a fan panel at Celebration or SDCC is more appealing than revealing to small media group in NYC.

Just put in a preorder for the figures I need from this wave (thanks for the affiliate link Jeff!). Bespin Luke, Dagobah R2, Lando, Hoth Rebel Trooper, and Snowspeeder Luke. After my experience having to track down recent Black Series figures on the aftermarket, I had some sense slapped into me by Jesse James via Twitter, so I'm ordering everything online. If I see these in stores, cool, but I doubt I will.

I put in pre-orders for both waves, along with some extra Hoth Rebel Troopers.  The situation at retail lately has just been so bleak that I'm totally fed up with going to stores.

I ordered the whole first wave and they should be coming in the next couple of days.

Found all of Wave One at Target and pounced. No register block! 

Yoda had a severely crushed bubble, so gonna have to replace him. The rest looked nice though.

No sign of the newest black box wave anywhere.

Got a shipping notice from Amazon for the Bespin Luke I preordered.

With reports of Wave 2 popping up in California, I wonder if Amazon gets those earlier than the current August ETA

Got my Wave 1 Target order today - for the most part everything arrived in good shape except for Leia - I'm going to have to replace her unfortunately. Here's hoping that I'll be able to find a good MOMC version of her that I can buy and return the one from my online order in her place. 

Saw that Targets on the West Coast are getting Wave 2, I wonder if my pre-order for the 2nd Wave is going to ship soon.

Got my Luke from Amazon Monday afternoon. What a great improvement over the original. I want to buy 1 or 2 more for the headsculpt alone.

I was lucky enough to find all five at my local Target yesterday.  They didn't have any in stock according to Brickseek, but took the chance and it paid off.  Luke is amazing, AT-AT Driver is probably my favorite of the bunch though.  I am a sucker for Hoth troops.

I found part of this wave the other day at Target, including Luke, Han, Leia, AT-AT Driver, and the Probe Droid.

Wave 2 has hit Target in Chicago’s Northwest suburbs. Saw two cases yesterday at a store and friends have been finding it all over the region. Bought the Hoth Trooper looks fantastic.
