Ordered. I love these Retro figures.

Pass. I bought these 40 years ago. :P
I want new retro figures - e.g. The Mandalorian.
-
I would have done $28 for Artoo and Threepio.
I can't justify that much for Dengar and IG-88. Maybe I would have if it was Bossk instead of Dengar, but he is the absolute worst figure choice for this format IMHO. I won't keep a big box or these carded at all, and I can find pretty minty originals for less than this.
Hasbro is still testing those boundaries.

Hasbro is still testing those boundaries.
My collection is 26 years of every single figure with every single major variant. So I either consistently fail the test and buy the dumb stuff, or I break a pretty phenomenal collecting style...
I'm relying on everyone else to not buy them so Hasbro will stop, but I can't help.

It’s easy once you choose to pass. I think I’ve bought a grand total of 3 retro collection figures. Are I feel like I could let those go at a moment’s notice.

+1
I think I end up passing on about 50% of the TVC/Retro figures because they're too similar to things they've already released. I need to pass on more BS figs, but I probably pass on 25%.
Every little bit helps keep my collection from getting cluttered and keeps money in my bank account.
Once you decide to let that one of everything OCD go things get easier.

Twenty-eight for 2!? Choosing the red pill.

This set looks pretty similar to some of the Hasbro pulse sets for the Marvel retro line. The two packs had variants of figures released in the normal line.

I think you would be hard pressed to find quality originals of Dengar and IG-88 for less than $13 each. Even if you did, they would be without weapons. I have a full set of vintage carded figures, but this is a great option to experience those figures (carded or loose) without paying thousands of dollars. I really love the look of the old vintage stuff, so getting these vintage style figures, the Jumbo 12" versions, retro figures for new shows/movies, etc. is super appealing to me.
