I can't believe how boring Hasbro has made this line. All they had to do was sprinkle in a few unmade characters and people would lose their minds.

Boring? They put a big "Retro" sticker on the card, and a 40th Anniversary blurb. We're approaching NASCAR-levels of logos here!

I 100% agree with Rob, I would rather have Oola or someone like that. Are they planning to do a game pack-in figure like the last two?
-
God I hope not on that too. I’m getting tired of buying terrible board games for single pack in figures.
-
How is this wave any different than the other OT waves? ANH was six of 12 of the original figures and Tarkin with the game. ESB was six figures that were just repros of vintage figures and then had the "new" X-wing Luke with the game. Same thing in this wave. Only thing missing at this point is a game with an exclusive figure. Seriously doubt Disney will let Oola ever get made again.

How many times does Lando (Skiff) need to be a total dog at retail?

Agreed. If they want to do a new figure I hope they just make it fan channel exclusive and not mess with a board game pack in.

My 5 year old and I have played both games a million times now. People buy it. Why wouldn't they do it again?
Nothing boring about this line. I'd love more new figs and this is the least helpful to my vintage collection with only one place holder but I still think it's fun.

Well, on the third outing with the "Mandalorian" Retro wave they made the board game figure a dirty Remnant Stormtrooper and put him in a Monopoly game that cost $50.
So let's hope no really "new" Retro figures come out in board games anymore. They already broke it.

For anyone wanting a Retro Oola… there’s a pretty great option available for $40.

Board games are fine. Packing a remnant stormtrooper into the board game so collectors have to spend $50 on a game to get one isn’t.

Yep. And I didn't buy that one at 1st and then eventually decided of my own free will to buy it later. Do what you want.
If we are gonna keep buying this stuff they won't stop
-
Do what you want.
As the wise philosopher Alan Thicke once said, "the world don't move to the beat of just one drum, what might be right for you, may not be right for some".

Ordered one of each. Thanks Jeff!
-
Just got a shipping notice for Han and updated delivery dates for the Emperor, Luke, and Lando (all for Monday). No updates on Leia or the Biker Scout yet.
-
Are these shipping in solid cases of one figure? I popped into a Target today and they had six Han's and nothing else. It was one of the small Targets, so it's not like they got six cases and only Han is sitting...
-
It's weird. All last week people including me were finding single Luke's at their Targets, a couple found Emperors as well. This is the second full case of Han I have heard about showing up.
I don't think assortment cases are out yet. Even the set I ordered came in a Han case that had been opened and resealed.
-
This might also explain why Amazon mailed all six of my figures from this wave in separate boxes…
-
What's the deal with how Amazon is shipping figures these days with the little cardboard insert to protect the card? Is that how they're coming in the cases from Hasbro, or is this something that Amazon is doing on their own?
The only place I'm buying my figures these days is Amazon, so I'm not sure if this is just them or what.
It seems like a lot of extra work for someone, but I'm sure the MOMC collectors love this.
-
Cardboard insert? I've' gotten 4 of the six so far, all in their own box, the box size slightly too small for the card so every one of them was severely bent.
I open them, it doesn't matter... but I've never seen Amazon try particularly hard to get stuff to you without card or bubble damage.
-
Maybe its just a local Amazon warehouse thing, but I think I've received these with both Retro and TVC carded figures when they're sent by themselves in the past few weeks.
Here is a photo of it. The card fits nicely in there to protect the top side.

Wow, that’s nice. Haven’t run into anything like that yet.
-
Another weird one with Amazon and this wave.... They're all $11.99 on their site. So far the prices I've been charged after taxes are:
Skiff Lando: $13.22
Leia: $12.95
Endor Han: $13.22
Biker Scout: $13.19
Palpatine: $13.22
I don't care, but why would these be different at all?
-
I didn't notice the different prices with mine (haven't looked) but I did notice the slightly inflated price of $13.22 after tax for at least some of them. Its not worth it for me trying to get a dollar back on most of these, but thought it was weird as Amazon is usually so good at giving you their lowest price.
-
Hasbro is doing weird stuff as well. I order the wave in one order. They order total was $11.99 x 6 plus shipping. Got individual charge notices for each figure. Have six different credit card charges, all for different values. Somehow they split the shipping between the six at different rates. They sent a shipping notice for only the Emperor and show the other five shipping May 1. Really strange way to go about this. They have always charged once and shipped a whole wave in the past.
