Saw an AAT at TJ Maxx for $16.99. Hadn't heard of the vehicles hitting there yet. Decent price, but I didn't open the one I got last spring during some Target sale. Passed.

Forgot to mention I picked up what was apparently the last Legacy of Terror 2-pack that was hanging around at Marshall's. Think I paid $3 on deep clearance. Nice!

...

I found a  Brain Invaders one for that $3 price today.

Saw them at a Meijer store today. Didn't realize from photos that they had open packaging. You can rub your dirty hands all over them.   >:D

Those in regions with Meijer stores, they have the new Class 1's for $19.99, also had a spot for the Class 2, also $19.99 (none on shelf et).

I was tempted by the AT-RT, but the driver looked sloppy and had some yellow stains on him.

SPOILERZ (as if that isn't given)

Surprised by the return of Ex-Prime Minister Kidkill (that's a Simpsons reference). But it wasn't like Maul would find some new character to be his puppet.

At least Vizla didn't go out like a chump. A warrior's death he deserved.

So Satine is still alive to be a scapegoat. Maybe they schedule her execution next week.

BTW, what's the point of high tech holding cells that allow you to easily converse with the inmates next door? Besides for plot purposes?

The Pikes still seem mysterious...and the callback to the school lunch poison crisis made me wonder why they didn't use the reptillian smugglers from that episode, but apparently the Pikes were some Lucas personal creation he wanted in.

I didn't notice any Hutt henchmen used in the attacks.

I like Opress knocking some random woman over the railing (a guard saved her). Those super-high buildings just seem like they'd lead to many falling deaths.

Easy new figure, Guard leader with a new head...never happen. It's kind of annoying to see the Mandalorian police men used in action so much, since their figure lacks knees.

Do they really need to lay off workers?

Doubt it.

Goldner can take a freakin salary cut.

Most of the mini-rigs have little credibility, that is the ones that are fighters/shruken space ships (I'm not saying they aren't fun).  They could limit themselves to believable concepts, but that would be mostly speeder bikes, swoops, larger droids, AT-RT's (which might be underscale), cannons (Hasbro usually refuses to make) and the beasts (Hasbro refuses to make).

For AOTC 3D, a better articulated Nexu with Padme and a Geonosian? Geonosian Picador? ROTS Lava Flea? NEVER HAPPEN.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars Episode VII

I was hoping for Ridley Scott. Turns out the midichlorians, which allow lifeforms to use the Force, were created by an ancient race of none-too-friendly pale skinned giants. Then we see Jabba the Hutt's baby burst from Leia's chest.

Or Tim Burton, who'd take the job then say he doesn't like Star Wars or even science-fiction, Depp stars and Helena Bonham Carter appears...aside from a Billy Dee Williams cameo, the only actor from a previous Star Wars film to appear is Christopher Lee as a recording of Count Dooku, who turns out is Johnny Depp's character's dad.

I won't joke about Stephen Sommers or Paul W.S. Anderson...

Looks like Evolutions.  Since the missile really shoots, the pack is either new or from the Movie Heroes Boba Fett that so far only appeared overseas.

Steal the picture...

Hard to believe there's no clone in this wave.

1570
Carded images on Ebay (8 of them, anyway) (buy it now prices of $34.99 to $39.99  :o ).

Jango now has a new removable missile firing pack, but is other wise the Evolution figure. I kinda wish they'd recolored him a bit more blue-grey.

Saga era Obi-Wan includes a new hat spring action launcher.

The bigger line is a kid-aimed line.

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: Toy Fair 2013

Either that, or better utilize their library of "ultimate" versions of the main characters/troops that they already have.  It has to be cheaper to use those, right?  And maybe bring the price down.

According to the Hasbro folks, it is cheaper to tool up an all new figure with 6 different parts than to churn out existing figures with twice that many. That's why the GI JOE Retaliation vehicles had 5 point articulated figures instead of the usual repaint/kitbashed driver figures fans came to expect from that brand.

There's a problem with Star Wars as a cheap line. Spider-Man and Iron Man can be recolored ad naseum, so the same molds can and will be used repeatedly. That's something Star Wars can't get away with too much. Night Strike Luke Skywalker and Jungle Camo Vader seem unlikely to be approved by Lucasfilm.

Rebelscum has some info

No figure reveals until NY Toy Fair.  :(

Movie heroes wave 1 will have light up saber Anakin, sandtrooper, red exploding Battle Droid, Evolutions Jango (what, a good figure?), electronic R2,  action feature Maul, spinning Yoda, light up saber Vader, and  a terrible Obi-Wan. IIRC, we knew about those last year. (No packaged pics)

Anakin to Vader seems to be a 12" figure, which explains the high price point listed. The light up saber's  color depends on if it's Anakin or Vader.

Some licensed products sport new "Vader reaching out"/ROTS package design. They'll mesh with your 2005 stuff.  ;)

1574
Ah ok, so I got that reversed.  Can't believe they were still shilling that ****** Vader and RFT's in 2007.

Over-shilling. Remember, they stuck them in a  comic pack together.

1575
Evo Stormtroopers were from 2005, and Tantive IV battle pack was from 2007. I think the belts were the same, but I never owned the EVO clone to stormtrooper sets, just the Tantive trooper and the sandtrooper legends figure reissued from the Evo set.
