I paged through a few comics this last week but didn't see it? Anyone spotted it yet?
I'm going to frame this baby!

i thought it was a simultaneous release...
i don't care what color it actually was.
but i always felt the brown flowed better with the other hoth colors.
but yeah guys. anyoen see both versions?
-
I'm not sure about the ad itself being released, but I have heard several people saying they've found both versions of the Hoth Han Solo. Unfortunately I haven't seen any new figs in a long time, but good luck finding it. The only store I have heard people seeing this is are Walmarts.
-
oh oops.
yeah.
the ad has been in Toyfares. two issues so far i think.
and one of my SW comics.
-
I've been seeing that ad for months. Wish new figures were as easy to find.
It's ironic that Hasbro's taken a proactive approach to advertising these toys when they're so rare. I'm sure a suit at Hasbro will deduct that the scarcity is due to the ad campaign. ::)

Yep, I'll concur on the Toyfare ads. Inside front cover for one.

I still haven't seen the correct Brown coat (hehehe) version at retail yet. I keep looking, but so far all I've seen is that weasely Blue Han.
-
My correct Blue coat will be in the mail early next week. I’ll ask my dealer if he has that fake-o Brown version as well, or if I’ll have to wait for it.
-
I thought that the first initial waves would be the blue variation and the waves later this summer would be the brown variation...similar to the dirty/clean scout trooper or beard/shaved endor trooper
-
I have not seen either one. Surprise, surprise :(
-
The Brown Coat will be packed in later assortments according to Hasbro and www.starwars.com.
I believe Brown Coat Han is to be in the wave that has the new Luke, Vader, and Snowtrooper.
I guess time will tell.

Ack! NO! I wanted a blue one. Somebody help please. I'll get brown in my case from newforce, but need the blue. Stoopid Hasbro. grumble, mutter, stomp, stomp...
-
I wish we got also ads like those in the magazines here :(
-
It was in ToyFare this month. They run all of the SW ads.
-
I've seen the ad a number of times myself, for at least the last month or two. As for the figure itself, like BB mentioned above, the Brown version isn't out yet, but the blue one started showing up a few weeks ago. I was lucky enough to get him and Chewie from a buddy of mine. I don't care if the coat's blue or brown myself really. I'll be buying both. I just think it's awesome that Hasbro actually listened to the collectors voices on the boards and made such a great gesture to us as to create both!
And that ad is just classic! Cool idea of framing it OCB. Actually, wouldn't it be pretty sweet to frame all of the clever little Hasbro ads from the past year, all in a row? How many have there been now? Obviously the current Aayla one is cool. What were the other prior ones? I'm having total brain lock right now and can't even remember what they all were. Anyone?

There was Luke and Leia in the "Swing to Freedom" ad...something about "Watch your hands, she could be your sister".
There was the Bacta tank one - "just add Luke".
I think there was also one about "break apart" Maul but I can't rememeber the tag line. I think I seen all of these in comics.

What month (cover date) of Toy Fare June, July or August?

May 2003, inside front cover. The one with all the pics of the new toys from Toyfair. CAn't remember if I picked up any other issues since, or just read them in the Walmart aisle ;)
