Title: San Diego Comic Con 2004
Post by: jadesfire on May 15, 2004, 11:10 AM
I was just curious if anyone was going?  We might find ourselves out in CA about this time (July 25-27th) and it would be cool to hit this show one day as I need to grab  the Master Replica exclusive mini saber.  I've never been to this before but I know some people that have and said it was a blast.

Anyone have a link or more info/ticket information on SDCC?  I would like to pick up a couple of those Star Wars exclusives.  Thanks in advance. :)

We might find ourselves out in CA about this time (July 25-27th) and it would be cool to hit this show one day as I need to grab  the Master Replica exclusive mini saber...

You mean that it would be cool to hook up with some of your fellow JD'ers, right Beth?!   ;)  If you go, we'll definitely have to get together out there.  Maybe grab lunch or something.  I'll shoot you my cell phone # if you do make it out, and we'll hook up!   8)   (I also went ahead and split this off into a new thread, so I wouldn't get confused as to which exclusives I'm supposed to be trying to get for people...  :P)

Ricardo, haven't seen the 2004 Comic Con site up yet, but I may have missed it.  Don't know much on the details at this point, but they will be having a Luke Stormtrooper Gentle Giant bust as an exclusive there, along with the Silver Sandtrooper figure as well...  If you're going, we'll have to hook up again too!

From everything I've read around the Net, it sounds like there's supposed to be a very large Star Wars presence there this year, MUCH bigger than last year's.  Should be very cool!  I'll definitely be there, so if anyone else is planning on attending, give us a shout here, and we'll try to set up a JD lunch or something!

Feel free to beg for the exclusives here as well, and I'll jot 'em all down and see if I can round any up for you guys.  I think they're limiting the Luke Stormie bust to ONE per person this time 'round (supposedly), and I've already got one spoken for at this point.  I'll do my best on the rest of the stuff though...

OK, begging:

Puhleease take Patty and get me a Luke bust as well.  Also a silver sandtrooper.  More to follow ;)

Seemingly not much info released yet that I could find.  A few other exclusives but relatively little yet.

Muppets - gold tuxedo Gonzo?? Not sure how accurate that is.  I'd take one for my good wife the muppet collector ;D

Riddick - Vin Diesel's character in the new movie coming out called ________  Not sure if it's a Riddick figure or another character.

Mattel He-Man - She-Ra figure is confirmed.  Don't know if anyone here is collecting this anymore, but I'm not.

Mezco - I think these guys are having an exlusive, but I don't know yet what it is.

Minimates - these guys should have one too.

McFarlane - I may have missed it, but I don't think there's one from TMP.

Doing a little searching around, I found that Antonia Ellis who played Lt. Joan Harrington in the Gerry Anderson series U.F.O. will be at her first convention.

She will be signing autographs in the FAB Gear booth.

Meet UFO's Antonia Ellis at the San Diego Comic Con International! (http://fabgearusa.com/antonia_ellis.html)

UFO star to appear at US comic convention! (http://www.tvcentury21.com/content/view/251//)

Now I'm a big Gerry Anderson fan & would very much appreciate if someone can get me her autograph no doubt on a picture from the series.

Can anyone help me.  [Inserts begging smilie here.] Please.   :-*

How much are you willing to pay for her autograph and picture?  They usually charge for these things, I think.  What kind of picture would you want?  The fanciest one?  The cheapest one?  The sexiest one?  What?  Give me more details, including her appearance times, and I'll give it a shot!   ;)

Well no times have been confirmed thus far that I can see. This is what I have found out via the net:

Join us in San Diego this Summer to meet UFO star Antonia Ellis at the San Diego Comic Con International on Saturday and Sunday, July 24th and 25th.
Antonia will be greeting fans and signing autographs in the FAB Gear booth at designated times both days. This will be her first convention appearance ever!

To keep the aisle in front of the booth from becoming congested, Antonia will sign one brought item per person for free, plus any photos or merchandise purchased at the FAB Gear booth. To find out what times she will be signing, stop by the FAB Gear booth anytime during the convention, from Wednesday night July 21st through Sunday July 25th.

Theres nothing on the Comic Con site. Comic-Con International 2004! (http://www.comic-con.org/Pages/CCIWhatsNew.html)

Now if I had something she could sign, it would be free & I'm not sure what they have for merchandise at the booth.  :-\

Sarah Michelle Gellar is going to be there.

Post by: DSJ™ on May 30, 2004, 12:00 AM
I received a nice email today from a gentleman from the first link in my above post from the Fab Gear USA site. He mentioned that the color photos of Antonia will be $10. & the autograph will be free on the photos.

They will have other merchandise there that is also available on there site.

With the Thunderbirds movie coming around the corner, there should be some nice stuff there & other Gerry Anderson stuff too.  8)

So all I have to do is wait till I get a time on her appearance.

It was also mentioned that they may have some autographed photos available on there site. Will come in handy just incase you can't get one Matt.

I'd like to take this time & Thank Anthony for his email & informing me on the costs.  (http://www.cheesebuerger.de/smilies/lustig/14.gif)

I will update will more once I find out for information.  ;)

Other exclusives, though I can't recall all the stuff I read:

Mattel Batman: grey and blue with figure removing the mask ???

Minimates: no, no minimate that I can find.  Oops.

Muppets: Super Beaker with three interchangeable heads.  I could use one of these for the wife ;)

Tickets are now on sale for the Official Star Wars Fan Club Breakfast.  Anyone planning on going?   From SWS.com:

Admission to the event includes breakfast at the classy Marriott Hotel & Marina, one of Hasbro's exclusive silver-painted sandtrooper action figures, a goody bag of treasures from the Lucasfilm Licensing archives, plus the chance to chat with Steve Sansweet, head of Fan Relations at Lucasfilm, and others. A few lucky fans will be drawn to receive exceptional prizes, too!

The silver-painted sandtrooper action figure will make its debut at Comic-Con International. The Official Fan Club breakfast is the one place you'll be able to get your hands on this figure that week without standing in line.

The Fan Club Breakfast is produced by the Official Star Wars Fan Club and is the first of a series of events planned for this summer. Seats are very limited, and expected to sell out quickly.

Admission is $57.32* per person while seats are available. Cost of the breakfast does not include admission to San Diego Comic-Con, which takes place in the convention center next door to the Marriott.

Breakfast registration is limited to members of the Official Star Wars Fan Club, but each member may also purchase one ticket for one guest. This guest is not required to be a member, but must be accompanied by the member at the breakfast.

Orders are limited to two tickets per person, while supplies last. Orders for more than two tickets, or orders made by non-Fan Club members, will be cancelled and the service fee plus a $20.00 cancellation fee will be charged.

This is a "Will Call" event. To be admitted to the Fan Club Breakfast July 24 you must bring your confirmation number and a photo ID to the event. Your confirmation number will be emailed to you once you place your order. Shortly after, you will receive an email with details of the event.

Admission to the Star Wars Fan Club Breakfast is non-refundable. The Official Star Wars Fan Club will not issue a refund for an admission after it has been purchased, and we will not issue a refund for a lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed ticket.

*All prices of taxable items include California sales tax reimbursement computed to the nearest mill.
Lucasfilm

I tried to buy my ticket, and when it states log into your Hyperspace account and hit "recalculate order" to recieve your Fan Club discount I get zip? ???  Anyone else get this too? Just want to make sure I get my discount if there is one, before I place my order.

This year will be my very first trip to SDCC. I hear it will be an awesome year for SW,  plus all the awesome exclusives. (Hope I can save enough  money, SW Weekends left me pretty broke!)

Was considering the FC breakfast, but want to make sure to get into the convention very early Saturday for autographs. So many things to do at this convention!!!

Hey Matt!  :-*

UPDATE:
Antonia will give an hour long talk at the convention on Saturday, July 24th at 11:00 A.M. in Room 1A at the Convention Center. She will be signing autographs afterwards at the FAB Gear booth, as well as later in the day Saturday and on Sunday the 25th.

To keep the aisle in front of the booth from becoming congested, Antonia will sign one brought item per person for free, plus any photos or merchandise purchased at the FAB Gear booth. To find out what times she will be signing, stop by the FAB Gear booth (Booth #816) anytime during the convention, from Wednesday night July 21st through Sunday July 25th.

There will be only 3 photos of Antonia at the booth so I guess I'll for for all 3.  ;) Hope this helps out a bit.  :)

Moved Tammy's pic from Dale's post back into Tammy's...   ;)  Same pic that I figured it'd be.  Always enjoy that shot with all the carded madness on the stairs Tammy.   8)

So you and Mr. Jawa will only be there on Friday, Tammy?  And how old is Mr. Jawa now?  I wanna guess about 11...  (just so I have a better idea on what to look for)

I'll keep an eye out for you two!  As for me, you can see who you should be on the lookout for at SDCC, right here (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?board=28;action=display;threadid=517;start=msg56694#msg56694) (I'm in the middle, and fellow SDCC'er Jared is on the left).

Has anyone heard anything about whether or not dealers can get exculsive stuff or not?  I'm wondering because if its true then my I'm out of the Luke Bust since my cousin usually gets in as a dealer helping his friends, so he won't have to pay to get in the door.  I hope this isn't true.

It would be great to meet up with some of you folks from JD.  I will be in San Diego Wednesday for a GalacticHunter.Com meeting and Preview night.
I will either be wearing a Radical Ray t shirt, or something with Oriental Dragons.  JediMac, hope to see you out there. :)

Sounds good Sharon!  I hope we can work something out too.  I'd love to hook up with you and the other GH'ers at some point.  I assume that link you stuck there is a picture of you with Amy Allen, correct?  What's the story with the "GH.com meeting" on Wednesday?  Is that after preview night like at a restaurant/bar kinda thing, or is that like a real (and exclusive) GH staff meeting kinda thing.  LMK, and maybe I'll pop in!  Who else is gonna be there from GH, besides Mike and David?

Thanks for the news links on SDCC here too!   ;)
Title: Official San Diego Comic-Con Request List
Post by: JediMAC on July 15, 2004, 10:56 PM
OK, I've officially lost all control of the numerous requests for SDCC stuff from all you folks, so I'm going to attempt to put together a little list in here that I can hopefully work off of.  I've copy/pasted all the stuff from the various threads and my PMs here at JD, so I think all I have to do still is go through all my e-mails, and then this list should be up to date (hopefully).  So if you don't see your name and requests in here yet, don't panic since it's not finished yet by any means, nor is it in any type of order of "who asked first", or who bribed me the most  ;D (which is something I'll have to figure out later).  I'll give a shout when I think I'm all done with it, and then you can panic if you're not on it.   :P  (and LMK what you want)

Once again, no promises on anything from SDCC, especially since I might be stuck with only ONE badge for the whole 5 days, which can only get punched once at each exclusive vendor.  So it's gonna be a tricky business, but I'll do my best, and hopefully get some help from Jared too!  And keep in mind, I'm wanting most of the SW exclusives for myself as well.   ;)  So with all the fine print outta the way, here we go...

Adam:  GG Luke bust, Topps "SW Heritage Series" Ep. III promo card #3, MR Obi-Wan mini-lightsaber, WOTC Star Wars miniatures promos, Silver Sandtrooper x2, VOTC figure poster, Other: Target Leia cup

Andrew:  21st Century "Royal Marine"  (sorry, but this is only available for sale as part of a $25 4-pack of their figures - not individually)

Beth:  MR Obi-Wan mini-lightsaber x2, Galactic Heroes Biker Scout

Brent:  GG Luke bust, Silver Sandtrooper, VOTC figure poster, GG Bust-Ups, Galactic Heroes Biker Scout, Super Beaker (stuck in customs and probably never going to make it to the show) & Gold Tux Gonzo Muppets figures (don't think this is an exclusive there), 12" Angel vampire (Sorry B, but I never tracked this one down  :-\), Other: MIMB Cantina 3-pack

Brian:  VOTC figure poster, Other: Target Luke cup, Galactic Heroes 2-packs x4

Chris Berry:  Silver Sandtrooper

Dale:  Silver Sandtrooper, GG Spirits "Bust-Ups" 4-pack, Galactic Heroes Biker Scout, VOTC figure poster, 3 Antonia Ellis autographs, Space: 1999 Chrome Eagle Transporter, Other: Unleashed Leia

Darb:  VOTC figure poster (I'm double checking on this, as it seems I'm one poster short from what I thought I had, and either you or Jim were last to ask)

Dave:  GG Luke bust, GG Spirits "Bust-Ups" 4-pack, MR Obi-Wan mini-lightsaber, Silver Sandtrooper, VOTC figure poster, GH Biker Scout, WOTC Mini Stormie, Lucasarts Patch, Kill Bill: Crazy 88 Quentin Tarantino figure, OTC T-shirt (XL) - SOLD OUT  :'(  Other: "Opener" Cantina 3-pack

Jeff:  Silver Sandtrooper, Galactic Heroes Biker Scout

Jesse:  VOTC figure poster, Silver Sandtrooper, WOTC promo figure, 21st Century "Royal Marine", "Eastern Warrior #1", and "Eastern Warrior #2" (went out on a limb here Jess, and bought these in their $25 4-pack along with a "Special Forces" figure and free poster too, since that was the only way they were selling these at the 21st Century booth)

Jim:  GG Luke bust, GG Spirits "Bust-Ups" 4-pack, Silver Sandtrooper, Unleashed cardbacks, VOTC figure poster (I'm double checking on this, as it seems I'm one short from what I thought I had, and either you or Darb were last to ask), Topps "SW Heritage Series" Ep. III promo card(s), Battlefront patch, WOTC Minatures figure, Other: Target Luke, Anakin and Leia cups, MIMB Cantina 3-pack

Jim #2:  Silver Sandtrooper, Other: "Opener" Cantina 3-pack

M.B.:  Silver Sandtrooper, VOTC Figure Poster, Galactic Heroes Biker Scout, Other: Target Leia cup, MIMB Cantina 3-pack

Ricardo (last to contact me):  Battlefront patch, Hasbro VOTC Figure Poster (sold out Sat. :-\), Galactic Heroes Biker Scout (I think I came up 1 short :-[), Silver Sandtrooper x2, WOTC Minatures promos, Any Star Wars Heritage promo cards, Other: Target Leia cup

Scott:  VOTC figure poster

WayneSilver Sandtrooper

NOTE:  If anyone's asked me for anything in our "Other Toy Lines" forum here, I won't have seen it since I never venture in there.  So if you did, better spill the beans right here again for me.  Thanks!   :-*

Take Patty with ya, I'll pay her weekend pass.  She wouldn't be bored or anything like that ::)

Patty tagged along last year, and definitely helped me double up on all the exclusives (Silver Fetts, Blue Clone busts, etc).  She's undecided as of now on whether she'll be coming along, but she will be down in San Diego with me on Friday, so she could potentially help out on that day.

Were you being serious about paying her entrance Brent?  I was actually going to ask folks if they'd want to pitch in a few bucks to get her butt in there too, for the sole purpose of obtaining more exclusives, but I didn't feel good about suggesting that.  I think it's $25 for a one day pass on Friday.  Anyway, if several folks wanted to pitch in for her (assuming Patty scored them exclusives), then that might help.  Maybe.

Of course, there's not even a guarantee she could snag anything either - what with the quick sellouts, raffles, etc., especially on the VHTF exclusives.  Total crapshoot.  But we'll see how it goes...   :-\

i wouldn't have a problem with that at all. it's a hell of a lot cheaper than paying for my own ass to get out there. let me know if you decide to go through with that idea, and count me in (especially if it moves my name up a few notches on the ladder for the goods... wink, wink)  ;)

Thanks for the update Matt!

I'd be willing to pitch in a few bucks for Patty to tag along and grab me a Silver Sandtrooper... I'd like one of those too, but I understand about the exclusive SW stuff being in higher demand ;)

Thanks!

So, who all's going, and exactly what days are you going to be there?  This is the tentative list I've got so far:

Me:  Wed - Sun
Jared:  Wed - Sun
Ricardo:  Saturday
Robert:  What day(s)?
Jamie:  Wed - Fri
Jobe:  What day(s)?
Josh:  Wed - Sun
Ook:  Wed - Sun
Sharon:  Wed - Sun
Tammy:  Friday
Bob:  Thurs - Sun

Tom, are you not going?

I was thinking of trying to have a late lunch get-together on Saturday afternoon (and possibly Thurs/Fri as well).  Plus, I'm up for hanging out any night after the show.  Anyone up for lunch, or a late drink?  We'll try to get something set up for a little JD pow-wow, and to "talk shop", so if you're interested, just LMK...   8)

Yeah I'm not going this year been trying to save a (extra) little money for C3 so I can go to that. (Hopefully some dealers has BBD and BPD there  ;)).
Also you don't have to worry about adding me to your list of people trying to bum stuff off of you since hopefully my cousin can get me the Sandtrooper and Luke Bust.

Hello everyone.  Wow, my first post here-I finally broke down and signed on(I frequent quite a few sites)

Anyhow, I'll be in San Diego this week for the con...

Hey Bob, welcome to JD!  Glad to see you've finally made your way over.   ;)

So you're headed to SDCC, huh?  Cool.  Long trip from Pitt.  Too bad you're not bringing Jesse along with ya'!  So who are you coming out with, where are you staying, etc?  We'll have to work out a time to get together there.  I'll drop you a PM soon, and see what we can arrange.  In the meantime, enjoy the site, and I look forward to seeing you around the boards here...   8)

I'm at the Hampton Inn 1 mile N/NW of the convnetion Center, Right across/ from/near the Holiday Inn Bay.

my cell is 412-897-****  if anyone wants to call when they get there.  Leave a mess. as I'll be checking it quite a bit.  Jim from Pgh. is also going, but we're not going "together", he's at the HI Bay, and going WEd.

Unfortunately I'm getting in early Thurs. AM and will be missing Wed. preview night.

But I want to hit the fanfilms, and definately want to hang out Fri eve/Sat. eve somewhere.

So give me a ring, leave a mess(name/forum). and a ph#, I love to chat SW and always like to place a face with a name!

Always fun to talk about on the boards also ;^)

You folks might want to check out my update to your requests back on page 2 of this thread...   ;)

I've been kickin' ass and taking names on the exclusives, and have almost everything for everybody covered now, with the obvious exception of the near impossible GG Luke bust which is being raffled off.

But I've still got 3 days to go, so hopefully I'll be able to snag the rest!   8)

Are any other companies raffle off their exculisves Matt?  I'm just curious to see if they are what will happen to them with the COmic Con people.  At least GG is offering the bust online so hopefully I will have a chance at getting one then or it doesn't go to high on Ebay but now with the raffle I can see it getting somewhat out of control.

just thought i would throw this in here:

Quote
A little surprised that nobody had discovered it yet, the GGS team let it slip early Thursday that there are special chase sets currently mixed in with the some 5,000 Spirit of the Rebellion Bust-Ups allotted for Comic Con. Roughly 500 of the packs currently being sold to winning ticket holders are in fact "glow-in-the-dark" variants. There are no limits to the number of Bust-Up sets fans can buy at the show, but you do need one winning raffle ticket per set. There are no markings on the boxes to indicate which version is inside, the only way to know for sure is to bust them out.

hey matt, can you pick me up 1 set of each  ;)

LucasArts- "Rupublic Commando" patch
Hasbro VOTC Figure Poster
Hasbro Galactic Heros Biker Scout (might have an extra, I've lost track)
Silver Sandtrooper x2 (I'm all out of passes to punch for these, so I'll see if I can get someone to help)
Any Star Wars Minatures promo's
Any Star Wars Heritage promo cards

But aren't you still planning on coming down today (Saturday), Ricardo?  LMK, 'cause I was planning on calling you and hooking up with you at SDCC, and swapping that Leia cup for the 2 General Landos...

Updated the list again tonight, with a few more things I managed to pick up for the gang today (still no Luke busts, sorry!), along with adding in some more requests from you folks...   :-*

ooohhh matt  ;D

any way you can snag me one of these bad ass shirts?

You've gotta be a little more specific than that Dave...  Like WHAT SIZE?!  Nevermind.  I see ya' PM'd it to me...  I think these cost $16 there.  Jared snagged one the other day, and I've been thinking about buying one too.

I didn't have a poster roll with me, so a lot of the VOTC posters might have some slight wrinkling on the top and bottom edges.  Sorry 'bout that, but it was kinda hard those first two days, when I was carrying around about 17 bags weighing a total of about 183 pounds!   :P

I'll see what I can do with the rest of that stuff.

Didn't pay too much attention to the maquettes just yet Beth, but the MR Stormtrooper blaster was SWEET - pretty much identical to the real prop!  You can check out a couple nice pictures that Jared took for us here on our Master Replicas page. (http://www.jedidefender.com/gallery/imageFolio.cgi?direct=Conventions/San_Diego_Comic_Con_2004/Master_Replicas)  You getting that AT-AT Beth?  Looks very nice...   8)

BTW, I assume everyone's aware of the prices of these things at the show...?  Just as an FYI, the GG Bust ups are $22 each, and the Silver Sandtrooper is $11 at the SWS.com booth.  Holler if you're curious on any other prices!

I'm sooo beat.  Got caught in the storms in Atlanta Sun eve. and didn;t get home until 3:30AM.

What a freaking blast!  As far as exclusives, I lucked out BIG time!  I scored a ST Luke bust on Thurs. with one ticket-no kidding!  While in line a guy had an extra bust-up tix. so I got one of those too(not a Glow I D one)

Got some biker scouts, some Wizards of the coast miniature ST(I heard they are doing a different miniature promo at all the summer cons ????  WOw that's pretty cool.

Grabbed the Hasbro poster and ran around trying to grab some handfuls of all the promo mdse.  (Jesse I'll have it all on display at my place Sat.)

As far as extras all are spoken for but I may have some surprises Sat.

I grabbed some autographed cardbacks(multiple) also a ton of autographed comics at Dark Horse-some original CW art, and  I even got an autraphed copy of the CW comic(the paperback type one that came out a few wks ago) that one of the guys signed "1st signed copy"  how cool is that?

Got my Hmmill autograph as well as Kirshner/Billy Dee-sweet-got a 2 for one deal Billy and Irvin on the same 8X10 that had them both in the pic.

2 more autographs on my 3'X4' poster-now back in it's frame, got the Sandra poster handout autographed, asn all the authors at the Del Ray booth.

All my silver troopers came back smashed-kinda like me on Sat. night ;~P

An absolute blast have about 4hrs. of footage from the con I'll have on my widescreen Sat as well.

LAter!

Bob -
Sorry I never got a chance to hook up with you!  I was hoping to, but jotted your cell phone number down on a piece of paper that I didn't have with me the last day or two, and wasn't able to give you a buzz.   :-\  I think I saw you at the Hasbro Q & A though...  Did you get up and ask them a question at one point?  I heard a "from Pittsburg" and I think "Bob".  White T-shirt and a hat, if I recall...  Was that you?

I'm sure we'll have better luck at C3 though!   ;)

Missed Sharon too.  Called her a couple times, but never got through to her or heard back from her.  Sharon, you out there?  I assume you hit the show right?  You have fun?  Meet some other folks?

I missed Robert and Ook as well, though I saw Ook a couple times, at the Hasbro Q & A (back wall) and at the GG booth on Preview night (I was shouting at you from across their tables Ook, and you heard me, but didn't recognize me and know where it was coming from!)   :P

I did get a chance to meet Tammy (RJP) though, so that was cool.  Sorry I said "kickin' some ass on the exclusives" in front of your kids though.  Brainfart.   :-[

Also met and chatted with JoshEEE, Mark Hurray (RS Staff), Philip Wise, "Sir Steve" Comenzo, Gus Lopez, Duncan Jenkins, Ray Park (walking down the street), Steve Sansweet, and several others I'm forgetting now.  Nice to put a few more faces to the forum names.  Good times!  8)

As far as all the requests for the exclusive loot, I've updated the list on page 2 with what I'm pretty sure are the final tallies for everyone.  I came up one VOTC poster short (they sold out of them Saturday), so I'm gonna have to figure out who was the last person to request one, and unfortunately not hook them up.  Real sorry!   :'(  I am still trying to track an extra down though, from some of the local fellas who went.  I'll keep ya' posted if I'm able to!

I'll e-mail everyone a list of the stuff, and the total costs with shipping once the loot's gone out.  I think I have most of your shipping addresses already, but if you've moved, or think I don't have it, shoot it on over.  And LMK your shipping preferences too (Priority, cheaper snail mail, Delivery Confirmation, Insurance, etc.)

The good news is that I didn't have to pay for any extra badges for the stuff.  I was able to get a lot of the exclusives on mine, and talked a number of buddies into cruising through the lines with me to snag me/us even more extras.  So NO added cost for any other badges!  Exact retail for everything...   8)

For those who asked for the VOTC posters, please LMK if you want me to pick up a cheap poster roll (on your dime) to ship them in - especially if I'm sending you other stuff in a regular box that I might be able to fit it into.  Again, some of them got a little ruffled on the top and bottom edges unfortunately, 'cause my dumb ass didn't come prepared with a poster roll to keep them all safe in!   ::)  Had to carry them around in bags full of other stuff all day...

Sorry again to those who I couldn't help out with a few of those things.  Total whiff on the GG Luke busts, as expected.  Would've been fine, if the Comic Con people didn't force GG into doing a raffle ticket system.   >:(  Scored plenty of the Bust-Ups in the GG raffles though, oddly enough.  I won't open those up though, so the 4 of you who asked for them (and me) all have an equal chance at getting the rare "Glow in the dark" versions.

It's gonna take me a few days to sort through and package everything, so I'll talk to you all soon!

i don't know who else you bought them for, but i suggest you open them all up and see if there is a glow in the dark version. and then, keep that one for yourself, since you went there and picked them all up. we wouldn't be getting them period if it wasn't for you. i have no problems with that... anyone?

Hi Matt!

So sorry I missed you guys!! :(  Matt, you called my home in Orlando. Was having cell phone trouble, so really was out of touch. Totally bummed, I really wanted to meet you guys.

My trip was a bit rough, and to top things off, Mike Sullenger(GalacticHunter) left me stranded with my luggage at the Con on Sunday. >:( Had major hotel problems.

Thankfully, was able to score  the Luke GG bust for my self, and one of each bust up. If you  carefully cut the tape on the box, the black bags have holes punched in them, so you can see which variant you have.

I owe you guys a beer at C3!! So sorry we couldnt have gotten together. My bad.

An absolute blast have about 4hrs. of footage from the con I'll have on my widescreen Sat as well.

Bob -
Sorry I never got a chance to hook up with you!

Good times!  8)

Yep, that would be me!

Matt and Jared, I too want to personally say thanks for all the effort you both put in.

Jared was unbelievable with coverage, and persnally I think we "shattered the competition".  ;)  Well, I think we were a solid showing at the very least.  GH.com and Scum both had nice Q&A efforts and coverage too, so I was pleased with all the news, if not a little overwhelmed.

Matt's Q&A, take no prisoners attitude, was phenominal.  Great work Matt, and thanks for asking questions that I can't help but think you were thinking "Jesse would wanna know this" when you asked them!

Bob, it's good to have you back...  It's good to see you got a good response on your Vs. 2-pack idea too!  I'm ecstatic at the thought of Super ARticulated 2-packs.  Maybe Hasbro's really gonna look into that.

Great work guys, and Matt an extra thanks (and Jared too because I'm sure you made him work at this too) with the exclusives.  I'll just sit idly by while I hear what the outcome is on my requests after the smoke settles, haha.  :)  You guys really did a lot in that regard.

plus thanks for stopping at 21st Cent. Toys' booth, and nabbing me their Modern Figure set they put out.  Finally I'll have at least 2 Afghan soldiers for my grunts to shoot at.

Thanks guys...  A job above and beyond, seriously.  I hope you all had fun out there to boot!

I just wanted to say a big thanks for all the kind words that have been said about the pics. I didn't run around remotely close to how Matt did - the guy is a machine. I had a blast taking pictures and it added a whole new purpose to being at the show. It was a ton of fun!

We all really do appreciate it Jared.  You helped take things to another level, and on your own time.  We were expecting that all we'd have is Matt afterall.   ::)   :P

Great work by both of you though.  I was really personally overwhelmed.  I thought we did do the best work out there this year.

Aw man, I don't remember anyone calling me by name or username. I didn't meet anyone from here or RS all weekend - not knowingly, I mean; I'm sure I saw many, and probably talked to some. But no connections to forums or usernames were made. You have any pics up so I can see who you are?? Here's me with She-ra, haha.

Man, my pictures are all over this forum!  Probably like 10 of them now...  But here's my most famous one (I'm on the far right):

I'm pretty sure you heard the "OOK!" yells I was doing at the GG booth on Wednesday night, 'cause each time I yelled it, you looked up, and looked around - scanning the crowd...

It was pretty crazy at that point though, 'cause that's right when they were in the process of getting ready to announce the winning raffle numbers...

Hell YES it was!  We spent "a little" time around that booth, that's for sure!   ;)

Glad you snapped a pic of it though, Ook, 'cause I don't think any of us ever did.  And there were at least TWO different models being "displayed" in there.  The other was just as nice as this one.  Good stuff.  Made me want to go see Species III real bad.   :P

HA :D My kids have heard a TON worse from me all the time. We're not goody-goodies...

OK, cool.  I feel better then!  I'm not around kids all that much, but when I occasionally am, sometimes my mouth continues on in it's regular manner, which some parents might frown upon...  Glad to hear that wasn't the case here!  Nice to meet you and the family there, and yeah - we'll have to hang out a bit longer next time.  Just glad to have seen a picture of you prior, otherwise you would've walked right by me and I wouldn't have even noticed!   :P

P.S.  Might want to check my comment in your classifieds post for the Leia.  It was actually an AAYLA cardback they were offering, not a Leia one...   ;)

Still fartin' around with everyone's packages...  Sorry for the delay folks, but I've been pretty busy catching up at work this week, after being out most of last week for SDCC.  Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to get some stuff out on Saturday.  Tomorrow's looking doubtful...

Picked up some extra VOTC stuff tonight though, in case anyone was interested in a Han or Ben for $10.64.  LMK if you want either/both added in with your SDCC loot!

I still haven't decided if I'm really going to send you that VOTC poster, or not.  You're annoying and talk too much crap about my sports teams.  So your goofy butt might just wind up empty-handed.  I'll have to think about it...

If you nabbed a VOTC Luke Matt, Hit me up...  I'd sooner buy an extra you've got lying about than deal with finding one.  Sounds like he's hitting KB of all places though.  Ugh I hate going IN the mall.   :-\

First round of SDCC packages finally went out today!  I dropped a line to those who's stuff is on the way, and most of the rest of you should be good to go on Monday, so if you didn't hear from me today, you should then.  A few others might take an extra day or two beyond that.  Sorry again for the delay everyone...   :-\

Also, I was hoping I might be able to fit the VOTC posters into some of the actual packages, but they're unfortunately a whopping 21" wide, so most of them are going to have to ship separately in a poster container.  The best price I could find on those is $2.49, and it sounds like shipping them will usually run about $2ish.  Is that cool with everyone?

Finally, I'm throwing a bunch of extra crap from the Con into most of the packages, so look through your stuff carefully, including digging to the bottom of the box, to find it all.  Some tiny little things too, so be careful not to lose 'em.  If you don't want the extras, feel free to toss 'em out, or forward 'em on to your next trading partner...   :P

Hey Bob, what's that stack of things at the bottom of this picture, between the .45 and the C3 postcards?  And what's the small thing with the Yoda and Vader headshots on it right above them?

Don't recall seeing those at the Con...  Looks like you missed the freebie holographic Darth Maul buttons over by the book section though!  And the buttload of Star Wars pins at the CCG tables...   ;)

And I think I swiped about 4x the amount of patches as you (and yours are bad enough)...  But they just wouldn't stop putting them out though.  What the hell was I supposed to do?!?   :-[   :P

Those are ad postcards for an upcoming republic commando book at the Del Rey booth, the Vader/Yoda is a pack of widevision cards(was in the Sansweet goodie bag)

Yes, I did miss the pins and the holo darth maul holo pin.  (I too had tons more patches, I sent a bunch out, and gave some away at our get-together in addition to the stack there-very cool little promo)
I almost forgot to save one for myself ;^)

Yeah, at the Fanclub breakfast everyone got an Indiana Jones paper goodie bag filled with tons of stuff-figs, album, records, card packs, t-shirts, postcards, and some other vintage stuff-U.K. presto magic type thing, bookmarks, film cels, so-on and so-on.

The widevision pack was in there.
