TVC Tantive IV Hallway Playset

I got word from Dorkside Toys that the Tantive IV hallway is now shipping.

Nothing from Pulse yet.  It's always weird to me that they're not the first one to ship.  Maybe they ship later to keep other vendors happy...

I received my sets from Dorkside Toys on Friday. 

For what you get for $50, I'm good with it.  The sets are not GTP or Owen Driscoll quality in my opinion, but that's ok.  It's a diorama-esque playset, which is exactly what I used tp alwash bash Hasbro for NOT making.  And here we finally are with Jabba's Palace, the Freeze Chamger, and now this.  So while it could be better, I'm just enjoying that this has finally happened.

In these pics, I combined two sets.  In the below pic, it's 35 inches long for anyone considering making room on a shelf to set something like this up:

I was surprised to see just how long the hallway is when it's all assembled.  I got 2 sets, so I'm interested to see how I can augment the environment with the additional parts.

And while I would have liked the Rebel Fleet trooper to get a new head sculpt, the paint apps are great.  And the cardback art is really cool!

LOL!  How silly of me, I should have remarked on the lack of a holster.   

What I like about the set is that a number of the parts are interchangeable.  I set it up in the configuration that's on the front of the box.  And I almost threw away the envelope with the footpegs.  It's almost impossible to find that thing!

Some of the photos I've seen of the set on social media have been fantastic.  One IG account mocked up setups of the Rebel Fleet Troopers fighting the Stormtroopers.  And they did it so that you could compare the photo of the playset next to the still from the movie.  It looks really good.  Check it out:  Instagram SWTVC
