Since the price jumped, I really planned on being out on these figures after the He-Man/Battle Cat set. However, I recently had a BBTS order ready to ship and tossed a Transformers Soundwave figure in there for the heck of it. Not sure why, but I really liked the look of this figure. Things like this and the Ninja Turtles have always been tempting, due to nostalgia and awesome package art.

I have to say, I’m pretty excited for this. I get more psyched than most for the main characters I guess, but there has really been a lack of Jedi heroes in this line overall - specifically Endor based. It would be nice to see the poncho and trench coat included though.

I think there is a lot to take from this one, many points already made, but I think the biggest thing is that Marvel has remained virtually the same scale for the last 20 years, while Vintage/3.75 inch are seen as an "old fogey" type of line. Let's face it, people like us who visit collectors forums are a dying breed, and younger fans/collectors have moved to or started with the 6 inch line. They're more concerned about getting 6 inch style Clone Wars and Rise of Skywalker figures than they are getting vehicles we've wanted for 30 years.

That’s a really interesting point, and probably a longer discussion thread, but something I’ve been curious about too. Really there is no way of knowing for sure, and it doesn’t impact what we are interested in one way or the other, but are the older school fans and collectors truly a “dying breed” (for lack of a better term). The most recent Black Series Fan Choice Poll really started me thinking about this again. Cody is a fine choice, sure, but I was a little surprised he won. I guess those polls have often been a little wonky, but that coupled with a lot of what I see on social media really points to the “Clone Wars Generation” inheriting things now. Not that I have a problem with that, it’s just interesting to me.

I basically enjoy most to all that we see from Star Wars, even if I’ll always look at the OT as my Star Wars in particular. I enjoy Rebels, CW, PT, ST, Solo, R1, and definitely the Mandalorian. I’ve just noticed as my daughter moved into middle school last year, a lot of kids that age (and older), really have next to no idea about the OT stuff outside of “Darth Vader” “Chewbacca”, and “Stormtroopers” unless their parents are fans. Heck, I work with a number of people in the 20-30 range who haven’t even seen those movies. I do wonder if 3 3/4” is indeed the “old people scale”, because you see very little of it. Some Fortnite, and Spinmaster is trying some stuff with DC, but that’s about it. Anyways, just getting old I guess...

Back on topic, the closest 6” scale approximation to the Sentinel I can think of is something like the Rancor. That would be crazy to see.

So it looks like the long rumored Haslab Marvel Legends Sentinel was revealed today. This big guy is 26” tall, LED lights, 72 points of articulation, and includes a Bastion figure. $350 by August 24, anyone biting on this? I’d be partly tempted if we didn’t know another Star Wars TVC one was going to be announced this year as well. I can really only swing maybe one of these type of projects each year. Looks like it is closing in on 5000 of the 6000 needed backers in the first 12 ish hours though, wow..

More neat Legends reveals for “Fan First Friday’s” yesterday, rounding out the Spidey retro wave with Electro, Green Goblin, and Daredevil (Armored). Also a real nice classic Moon Knight, which is unfortunately a Walgreens exclusive (better than Wal-Mart). Then, at the end, they showed a tease of the rumored Haslab Sentinel. They showed a leg next to a Legends Jubilee and Wolverine, which looked to come up to approximately mid calf?!

I didn’t want to muddy up the Archive Vote thread with this, but honestly I’d take Archive face scanned redos of pretty much all the old ANH figures we’ve gotten. Since the new face techniques started up, those have really started looking out of place. It would at least be nice to see the trinity of Han, Luke, and Leia get this treatment at the very least. Heck, put them in a three pack if you have to. “Heroes of the Rebellion”

I’m not sure what Wave number this is, but the repack wave (Han/Luke/Lando/3PO) hit Target here today. I was interested only because of the face scan updates, and this box at least was a little hit and miss. The Bespin Han Solos in this case were pretty great, and Lando looked pretty good as well. The Luke’s, while not as bad as some I’ve seen, were just a little off - and I couldn’t bring myself to pick one up. The others were nice updates, but I almost think the previous version of this Luke looked better.
