Yeah. Not everyone has that money just sitting there for a toy. I don't think people were necessarily envisioning a 4 foot by 2 foot barge when they were discussing this in the past either.Maybe half that at about $200.

You gave me a scare for a second... my plan was to put this onto a 12" deep shelf, and I thought you were being specific when you said 2 feet wide...

Width is 14.6" so it'll overhang a little on mine...

Sorry! I was just speaking in generalities!

The Vintage Collection / Re: Big Items of the Future!
« on: February 22, 2018, 08:00 AM »
A Death Star and Star Destroyer immediately come to mind for me. I can come up with many more, but those 2 items would be at the top of my list. Others are:
Jabba's Palace
Luke's homestead
Sarlacc - Pit of Carkoon
Echo Base
Mos Eisley Cantina/ Docking Bay 94
6 Inch Scaled X-wing Fighter
Skiff
Sandcrawler
Imperial Cargo Ship from Rogue One
Scariff Playset
Okay I will stop. I know most of those are not practical, but I would be interested.

I am late to the groan party, but groan. Here comes a $50 aftermarket price.

Aphra will do well. In fact I doubt we see much of her on the pegs. The EU fans love her. It is basically their updated Yak Face level of interest figure. They will be on that like exile Luke was drinking fresh green milk from an alien cow's nipple! ;D
But yes I am in in this wave excluding Aphra, but will pick her up for a trade if I find her.

I think people will be burnt out on Jyn, Kylo and that Rey. And that will lead to some pegwarming. Although I am getting most of these for the packaging to not open. So, hopefully others will do the same?

I want this so bad. I would have to sell some stuff from my collection before the deadline. Kind of how Luke had to sell his speeder to get off Tatooine :)
I hope it gets backed because I now have dreams of a Death Star and a Star Destroyer. But not sure how I would get the funds for those. I could see them trying to create a $800 Death Star now.

Solo: A Star Wars Story / Re: Solo 3.75" Basic Figures
« on: February 15, 2018, 04:21 PM »
Qi'ra is going to be the new pegwarmer of this line. But they have to push whatever female character there is now or else the media will blast them for it. With that said I will probably buy both the 6 inch and this version  :-*
It may not be a bad idea for Hasbro to incorporate some figures from the past few films. I just wish they were new or what was limited such as Raddus.

Solo: A Star Wars Story / Re: Solo 3.75" Kessel Run Millennium Falcon

Nothing they make is going to top the BMF unless they remake it bigger after I am dead. But this is the only Falcon since the BMF that has me interested. I hope they don't connect it to an app and charge $300 for it like the R1 AT-AT. At least there are no Nerf projectiles this time!

I bought So the Snoke set and now obligated to get this Kylo. Oh and probably 2 more red guards! But yeah is this Kylo ever coming out again?

The Black Series 6" Figures / Re: 6" Black Series Solo Wave 1

I hope the Range Trooper comes across well in the film to justify me wanting this figure! For some reason I really like it. I think because it is so absurd.

The Last Jedi / Re: TLJ 3.75" Resistance Ski Speeder w/Poe Dameron

Yeah. It kind of sucked they literally did nothing. I thought maybe with them hitting the salt that was going to blind the FO somehow and then the speeder could utilize something to bring down a Walker. Nope. It just isn't that exciting of a ship. I liked the visuals in the movie with the red, but again the vehicle does zilch. I am not into buying it. Especially when they don't make a gorilla walker.

The Last Jedi / Re: Star Wars Toys Sales Fall With 'The Last Jedi'

They come out with way too much product at the start of these lines. I get it. Stores want to make sure they have enough product. However, it does not need to be out 4 months before a film starts with 20 plus figures. It did not help that Ren's fighter is in the film 5 seconds and Crait Speeder does nothing other than make pretty red marks under the salt.
That overpriced play set doesn't help and neither does that $20 gadget to make figures speak. Plus,  not enough fans have bought into 5 POA at all. Then they don't make Force Projection Luke, Resistance Bomber, Phasma Damaged helmet or a new Walker. The film's didn't have many memorable aliens either. It is mostly drab humans or a grumpy old man to pick up. No memorable bad guys to buy in a mask other than Troopers and guards.  Kylo is okay, but he is no Vader to buy at the stores. A dude with long hair that talks to a girl most of the film and takes his shirt off.  It just doesn't translate well to toys.

I never noticed her in the poncho. I wanted Leia with her gun and a Crait Resistance in this pack. Oh well. At least there are 3 new figures. I guess Force Projection Luke will be coming single-packed in a year from now?
