The proud tradition of no ankle joints on Clone Wars Jedi continues!

I know what you mean.  I am glad they at least have put some articulation in the CW figures now.  Well it's been going awhile now but you know what I mean.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Republic Artillery? Hells Yeah!

I find myself oddly excited for this release.  I guess it's something a bit different in the collection.  Maybe someday they can make us a Death Star Turret.

I think they did a wonderful job with what it is.  However, I just can't pay that price regardless.  I am surprised they made it a statue to.  The trooper looks good and the accesories are great. But I will just have to happy with Hasbro's 3 3/4 versions.

That Dewback will be fantastic.  Sure it is much better than Hasbro's.  Then again Hasbro did not charge $200 which this thing will probably be if not more!  I am sure the Sandtrooper will be another $125.  I am looking forward to seeing a gallery of pictures and drooling at them regardless.

Collect All 92! / Re: Princess Leia Organa (Boushh Disguise)

I loved this vintage figure as a kid.  I thought it was so cool the helmet came off.  I think this was one of the first SW figures to have a removable helmet right?  I also like the vintage cardback.  I think this was one of the better costumes in all of the Star Wars films.  It would be nice to  get an update on the modern figure with the SA treatment.  Yeah, I am one of those collectors that likes SA on just about every figure even if they just stand in the background.    The modern one pictured is ok but I don't really care for her arms that much.  They could do a better job on that pike to.  I know they have to meet safety standards with the gummy plastic but it's just too gummy IMO.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Defender Wishlists 2011 Discussion

I struggle to make a top 10 list out of the entire Prequel Trilogy that I would actually spend $10 on.  There are a few I would personally buy like Cliegg Lars, Padme Buns Style Hairdo, Naboo Pilot with a Coat, 2nd Utai, Anakin/Vader Medic Capsule, etc.  There are some variants that I would like to see like a Blue Magna Guard, Battle Damaged ROTS Kenobi, etc.  The others I would like seeing are stuff like the senators, podracers, Wookie resculpts, Kitster and Wald 2 pack, but I'm not dying for any of those.  If they end up making some then it's a bonus.  I may or may not buy them though.  I'd rather pay money on OT figures.

Yeah, ROTS is a much more action-packed movie than the other 2.  I can see why Hasbro would focus on them.  The figures are more "action-oriented" from the moment of the Arena battle until the end of ROTS.  You got your Jedi, droids, and clonetroopers, plus the main characters to pick from there.  I get it.  I would still love to get an ultimate Darth Maul though.  I'm sure he is coming next year so why bother to vote on that?

Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: New Taun-Taun (w/Luke) Rumor
« on: May 16, 2011, 11:23 AM »
I am kind of happy to see a Tauntaun get trotted out again.  However, I really just want this for a new Luke Hoth.  If they would throw in a nicer Spirit of Kenobi that would be just fine.  Of course this would lead us to wanting a new Han Tauntaun with open belly and guts.  Then another Wompa version.  If they do the Wompa I would like some sort of cave set to go with it with some accessories like a bloody, meat bone (I know there are several bad jokes in there somewhere).  They kind of did this with that last Wompa release, but of course I'm looking for something a tad bit better than that. I know that is wishing for the stars and planets to align but as long as we're going to be paying most likely $20-$25 for a new Wompa throw in some extras!  8)

1) Padme (Buns style)
2) Anakin/Darth Vader with Medical Capsule
3) Palpatine - Office Duel
4) 2nd Utai
5) Widwife Droids 2 pack
6) Wookie Warrior Resculpts (variants would be ideal)
7) Nute Gunray - I would personally like to have Anakin's Saber Slash on him
8) Padme Funeral Dress (morbid but I still want it!)
9) Kenobi - Duel with Anakin but have his outfit with "battle damage or wearing".
10)Magna Guard - Bluish version

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2011 "Vintage" Collection Wave 7
« on: May 14, 2011, 02:15 PM »
It seems like most of you are satisfied with Tunghori.  I am thinking of just going for a couple of his items the next time around.  I'm sick of retail and buying cases.  I'm not a fan of paying $14 for stolen warehouse figures or wherever he gets them from,  but it's better than nothing at all.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection B-Wing

My vintage one looks like garbage now.  Even though I have a sentimental pull with it since it's mine from childhood it looks like hell.  I should get rid of it.  I let my 6 year old play with the POTJ one and then the 18 month decided to play with it as well.  So, now that one looks like it's been destroyed by the Empire.  Who knows where the heck the canopy went to?  Probably in the backyard.  There is some sort of sticky stuff on and in it to.  I am assuming a juice box or God knows what?   At any rate it would be nice to throw a nice new one somewhere.  However, I just don't know?  The temptation is there.  For some damn reason the vintage packaging makes me want to get it to.  I think it's a nice score for K-Mart.

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: 12" Modal Nodes

I am happy with my Hasbro set.  Especially when they charge $100 for these.  Give me an $%^&in break.

I may buy a few if I can find them.  I sure as hell can't find any regular vintage figures at retail past wave 3.  Well a few here and there and that is it.  Maybe I can wait for the regular ones to turn up in these vintage 3 packs.   ::)

Seriously I actually like the packaging for these.  More than likely I'd just keep them in it.  Although I really want that Han Solo loose.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection Y-Wing

The Y-Wing needs the BMF treatment for anyone to be that interested in buying it.  That is the only way I would buy it and am sure others feel the same way.  Make it the same size as the CW version and I'd be all into it.

Star Wars Universe / Re: 'Star Wars' in 3-D?
« on: May 7, 2011, 01:08 AM »
Yeah, I would like to see it in 3-D.  They don't really have to add anything that special.  I would just like to see certain things pop out in 3-D.  I could imagine lightsaber fights and blaster effects looking pretty good in 3-D if they get creative with it.  I don't think 3-D is going away anytime soon.  It's going to be around at least another decade or so.  I may even buy a 3-D TV....sometime during the next decade.

Star Wars Universe / Re: Star Wars on Blu-Ray
« on: May 7, 2011, 01:04 AM »
Well going into this I am mostly interested in the deleted scenes.  If certain deleted scenes are included that is. I am thinking of stuff like Toshi Station, Luke completing his lightsaber, the Jedi raid on the Droid Control Ship, hopefully the Wampa attack, and others we have heard over the years if they were ever shot.    I really would have liked the original release of Star Wars, ESB, and ROTJ on these somewhere.  I would much rather have that than every single documentary ever made.  I think we have gotten our fill of those over the years.  I will gladly take them but .  I guess I should just go out and buy that one DVD set that had the originals on it from a few years ago.   I can't really see myself skipping these Blu-Ray sets.  I mean it's Blu-Ray for Heaven's sake!  I do hope they clean up some FX and replace that crappy TPM Yoda puppet.  The CGI one looks much better IMO.  I know blasphemous, but it's true.  Perhaps some other things will get fixed like say Han Shooting First (it has earned capital letter status).  Or maybe even making Luke's lightsaber color blue in the Millenium Falcon.  Stuff like that.
