The highlights of my collection aren't rare or expensive, they're just things I really dig or which have sentimental value.

Off the top of my head:

original (95) Essential Guide to Characters -- my very first EU book. I guess I can blame the EGTC for putting me into this whole mess. :P

POTF2 Boba Fett -- I'm not even a big fan of Boba, but he was my first SW action figure.

POTF2 Death Star Escape Playset -- it's not that big or frankly exciting, but I found it on clearance some years back and bought it on a whim. It's a neat enough little piece, for what it is. I think the reason it appeals is because I didn't even know it existed till I found it, so it had some thrill of discovery associated with it.

Shadows of the Empire Dash Rendar and Boussh Leia, because they're cool, because of nostalgia, and because they ended up being pretty uncommon.

EU Concept Speeder Bike -- the only thing I have from the short-lived POTF2 EU attempt.

MicroMachines and Action Fleet -- much nostalgic attachment, in particular the Shuttle Tydirium which was the first one I got.

And actually, all of my POTF2 and EpI figures, due to increasing nostalgia as years go by.

TPM Scout Tank -- another piece I didn't even know existed until I bought it on a whim. A nifty sorta-EU variant on the AAT.

All my Clone Wars stuff -- toys, posters, books, comics.

StarWarsShop.com exclusive ROTS logo shirt -- this thing roXX. I love it.

Holo Yoda -- the only remotely rare exclusive I own. Plus I scored him at Midnight Madness. *gloats and rubs everyone's nose in it* :P

AT-RT -- it's a cool toy, I dig every type of walker, it's the first ROTS toy I got besides Holo Yoda, and I got it at Midnight Madness.

Various EU books I've had signed by the authors

A NJO baseball cap I got at a book signing (Jim Luceno for The Unifying Force) by answering a trivia question. I got Mr. Luceno to sign it, and I hope to get Troy Denning, Matt Stover, and Aaron Allston to sign at C3.

Well, I thought of an Obi-Wan set that could be done:

POTJ Jedi Training Obi OR Cold Weather Obi, take your pick
Clone Wars Obi in Clone Armor (a GOOD version this time)
OTC Ghost Obi-Wan.

Two would be repacks and one would be a simple kitbash (any mulleted Obi-Wan head on a clone body, with soft goods cloak.) Minimal effort required, yet really cool set. It's so simple and logical.

However, we'll probably get something like

Ep1 Jedi Duel Obi-Wan
Ep2 Coruscant Chase Obi-Wan
ANH Alec from Vader duel.  ::)

Nathan, what we do with the Announcements section is move it to the top of the board whenever there's an actual announcement being made (which isn't all that often).  Then, after a few weeks, we'll drop it back down to the bottom of the board when there's nothing going on.  That way, it really draws member's attentions when they see it up at the top, since they're not used to seeing it up there on a regular basis.  Otherwise, folks might just ignore it if they see it up there all the time and it rarely ever changes.  They might not even notice when there finally is an update.  Make sense?

Yeah, that does makes a lot of sense. Thanks for explaining. :)

As for the quoted text thought, we'll talk about that and see if that's something we can customize, or not.

Cool. Sometimes (like now) I manually up the size using the BBC tags, but I'm a lazy sort so it would be nice not to have to do that every time. ;D

Frankly, I would like to see underused characters or different versions of popular ones rather than things we've seen thousands of times before.

Things like

Young Owen, Cliegg, Old Owen
Ep1 Shmi, Ep2 Beru, ANH Beru
Senator Palpy, Holo Sid, regular Sid
any number of combinations of Padme outfits
Ep2 Clone, SA ARC Trooper, Republic Commando
Ep1 security (red) battledroid, Ep1 pilot (blue) battledroid, Super Battledroid
Or even Ep1 3PO, Ep2 3PO, gold 3PO. Skeletal 3PO is underappreciated IMHO.

Do we really need a Luke Evolutions pack? He's already been released multiple times in every costume. Same for Han, Obi-Wan, etc. ::)

I'm still a newb myself (January 18), however....

Thank you to the creators, adminstrators, staff, and moderators of this fine site and my fellow forum denizens. Wacky antics notwithstanding ;) I believe this is the most consistently articulate and mature group of SW forumers I've come across.

Articulate is a big deal with me. Here I don’t have to deal with drivel like “i saw r teh w00t lava vador is sUxxorZ lomgfhlol squeeeee!!!1111!” I don’t care how stupid your question, or how superficial your commentary--as long as you couch it in coherent English I'm inclined to take it seriously.

Besides all that, the forum software itself is great. I've been at some boards that're a real bitch to navigate and post in, but this is just a breeze to use, truly. About the only thing I would change is putting the Announcements section at the top, and making the Quote font a little larger.

Oh yeah ... and we get to cuss here. :P I’m not gonna post solid paragraphs of f-bombs ;) but it’s nice to be able to use the occasional bit of blue vocabulary.

Oddly enough, I never received any spam. I feel left behind and left out. :P

And I haven't gotten banned, even though I put a JediDefender link in my sig and posted in the feedback thread that has been deleted.

According to what EE is listing, the first case consists of 4x Anakin to Vader, and the 2nd case consists of 2x Anakin to Vader, and 2x Clone to Sandtrooper.

*repeatedly slams forehead on keyboard*

Hasbro, repeat after me:

"Solid cases of troop builders. Solid cases of troop builders. Solid cases of troop builders." ::)

The Corporate Alliance droid (the second pic) was originally created for AOTC, but ended up on the cutting room floor. However it did appear in several EU sources, including but not limited to the New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels.

So unless my estimate of Robots' production schedule is way off, the GL droid was first.

I only have one display/diorama going at a time, but I do reuse figures in the "wrong" movies. The only ones I buy duplicates of, are army builders, guards, background aliens, etc.

Right now I have a nice Clone Wars setup--separate shelves for Republic and Confederacy, and CW books on the next shelf below. I have more Republic than CIS figs. The Republic shelf has a plastic stepped thing so the back rows can look over the heads of the ones in front; the CIS shelf is in total disarray at the moment.

While all the characters are Clone Wars, the figures themselves are from a variety of sources--for example, Saga AOTC Palpatine, Saga AOTC Nikto Jedi, Clone Wars non-animated Saesee Tiin, ROTS Clone Trooper, POTF2 Red Guards, Episode I Sneak Preview STAP, Ep I Jedi Duel Obi-Wan as a generic Padawan, and Admiral Ozzel and POTJ Imperial Officer subbing as Republic officers since the uniforms are very similar. I even have Animated Grievous and Asajj Ventress standing in until I get the "real" versions.

Eventually some of these will be replaced with ROTS counterparts as I acquire them, although it's on a figure-by-figure basis, considering which one is superior or simply "cooler".

^ You're probably right Nicklab, although I do wish it was the "classic" Clone Wars ARC, since I prefer that style.

I also hope the sandtrooper comes with variant white, black, gray, and orange shoulder boards. On the other hand it will probably be tough enough to find one of any color, let alone all four.

The Clone looks pretty good. Mace ain't bad. But Chewie's kinda underwhelming somehow.

one needs only look at the padawan braid. on anakin its behind his ear, on the kid its in front of his ear.

Aw nuts, you're right. :( There goes my last faint hope. :'(

This will be great if the same animators and Gendy is still involved.  Otherwise, I am not optomistic that the series will continue at a high level.

DBK

I'm sure it will be the same creative team.

I just hope they follow canon better next time; continuity in the latest round of eps was very hit and miss.

those two heads are different. the head on anakin has a more stretched cheekbone line than the young padawan's head. also there is a distinct difference in the hair, where the young padawan has a more squared cut. the face sculpt on that anakin sure stinks though, no where close to what anakin looked like

Those could be differences in the paint applications and lighting. It's hard to tell just from two photos. It's very hard to imagine even Hasbro could screw up the likeness that badly.
