Title: Ayy Vida production error, already fixed.
Post by: Boba Binks on November 10, 2003, 05:00 PM
I have noticed with the new Ayy Vida figure that the Left leg has a production error. The first Ayy Vida that I bought has a Right Thigh on her left leg. I have seen this production error four different times now at different Target stores.

Today I was out and I saw the figure again at Target. I noticed that the leg was already corrected.

Here is an image of the two side by side (carded) so you can see the difference.

As you can see, the production error has been fixed.

Variation Hunter, happy hunting.

i can't believe you've seen this figure on 6 different occasions... i won't see this at retail till after christmas most likely, if at all. my area seems to be the worst when it comes to finding new stuff...

It's not wonderland, its Indy- The Crossroads of America.
With many shopping areas surrounding the city there are lots of chances to get the stuff. Usually if one store in Indy gets the new stuff in all of them do. So there are many chances in getting the new stuff fairly easily.

Still have not seen the corrected Elan Sleezbago figure yet or the Red ARC trooper. But I am sure they will be here soon.

That is interesting - I'll see what I get in the mail.

The real story here, or at least the second story is definitely: 6 times! Wow, heheh.

I finally was able to finish this assortment today after running across remnants three times now. Anyway, refresh my memory if you could please David. I have the one with human ears and antennae; this is the incorrect version is it not? Is the other version simply missing the antennae?

Thanks for the scoop,
Todd

I believe the corrected version has just the antennae, but no ears - like in the movie.

I am still blown away by the daunting amount of flubs and missed details Hasbro is pumping out. Will it never cease? While I am a variation and Error in Production enthusiast, it has given me more work than one would imagine to keep up with these mistakes and then add them to our checklists. After spending almost a year revising, retuning and reformatting our lists, I am a bit upset that there are so many additions already to add.

I just nabbed an Aaya and mine had the correction. Despite the first runs short shelf life, I think people are getting a bit overwhelmed by the volume of variations and thus 'rare' does not necessarilly = value. While value fluctuates and is not the primary reason we collect, it would be nice to get a Wolverine w/o cowl or some of the He-Man chase figures in our realm.

Hasbro should just admit that many of these are intentional to expand the collector realm and sell 3 of each figure to those of us that have to have them.
