After a few new dioramas, I like to go back and update (if I don't completely re-do) a dio from the early days! In this case, I had made a Bounty Hunters meeting for a shelf-type display a few years back, utilizing computer decals from NiubNiub and a Photo background of the SD hallways onto a floor made from a black shiny folder. I wasn't happy with the inaccurate floor color and flimsiness of the folder, as well as the area with the hunters being too cramped, so I made new flooring from foamcore and spraypainted some stripe detail onto the larger surface. The "WIP" portion of the title refers to the computer consoles that I'm going to make for the pit area. This is obviously not completely film-accurate in design (accuracy is something that I strive for since, though!) but I feel it lets me display a few different scenes. The last pic gives a clue to the final look, which I'll light better when I'm done!

Wow! I really like the background of the hallway. It really looks very three dimensional. It's definately a good start and way better than anything I could ever hope to make. I wish I had the space to display stuff like this.

I am actually working on something similar, but yours looks awesome and has given me some great ideas!

Thanks guys; I've gotten really busy with work, so progress has been slow, but I did make these consoles for the pit area. I'm going to spraypaint them and add photoshop-made decals to finish the dio.

Ok, I'm done until we get (or I customize) some seated Imperials. Here are a couple pics of the consoles spraypainted and with applied decals I made on photoshop. I then took a couple pics of the finished dio, but since it's in a shelf box I couldn't get the best angles.

Impressive. I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the shelves...looks like some other cool dio's.

Awesome, just awesome. I don't even miss chairs.

Those consoles look really good Greg. Are they made from styrene?

Thanks fellas! Justin- I'm still a sucker for foamcore :P and have yet to make anything out of styrene!
