Agreed, the POTJ is awesome, the POTF2 is a statue.

I'm pretty sure he meant POTJ... at least I hope so.

Anyways, I finally found a set yesterday and opened them.  I am most impressed with these and want to get at least 5-6 sets of them.

Sandtrooper - I love this figure, my only rant is I think the desert weather on him looks more like mustard smears... meaning that I will most likely do a bit of touching up myself with it.

ROTS Clone - Wonderful, I just wish he had waist articulation, other than that this figure seems perfect.

AOTC Clone - My favorite easily, and that's because I love putting the Clone Pilot helmet on him.  He looks so damn realistic with that helmet, and it seems to be sized very well.  This figure alone is worth the $20.00 to me!

You're right, but to me it's the best figure in the set.   ;)

And Gatillo, I'm glad to hear that you were able to get some correct Clones now.   :)

I love it too. I like the weathering, pilot helmet and especially the younger clone head.

I thought that one was to be released quite a bit later.  That was the one that were the prototype was stolen at Comin Con.  Hasbro was acting like it was going to take a long while to get it approved again.  Supposedly.  Anyway I don't think it's coming out for quite awhile yet.

I thought that the stolen figure was the Commander Bly basic figure.

In any event, I opened up one more of these Evolutions sets - I'm stopping on 15 until the other version shows up.

KBZ's right: the "stolen" figure that the Hasbro rep flipped out about was Bly.  There's another thread here in this very forum written by JD's own Jared/Tydirium from the SDCC where the whole thing is laid out as it happened.

IIRC, the figures that Hasbro showed at the SDCC for the variant set were not the final product (or so we hoped) since the AOTC Clone was an AT-TE Gunner with a AOTC-style helmet, and no boxed sample was available.  I'm really hoping that if/when the variant set hits, it will be a bit easier to find than the first version because outside of you, Zod, I've not heard of anyone having an easy time finding them.

I don't hope it's easier to find.  The ROTS clone in the 1st set is the Felucia clone under Commander Bly.  We're getting Bly in a few weeks here, and we have his grunts.  I think I'm correct in saying that this is the first time we'll have a Commander and his matching grunts from ROTS.  Gree and the AT-RT driver and BARC pack in figure will make set #2.

If the clone evolutions start being released in that second variant paint scheme, then the  ROTS clone in that set is...well...nothing.  It's not even in the movie.

I'm in the same boat - after I get back from watching the Bucs game tomorrow, my afternoon project is trying to squeeze all those troops onto already crowded shelves...
