I agree.  Modern figures (especially of TCW variety) is downright blasphemous!

For those of you, like me, who want to see this show from the beginning.  AMC is re-airing all  episodes before the season finale next week.

My DVR is ready to go!

My advice is not to cut anything out completely.  Just moderate your intake.  Then step up your exercise.  I lost 15 lbs in 6 weeks by cutting the amount of coke I drink, eating granola bars instead of peanut butter m&m's and doing 50 push ups before bed every night.  I hit a bit of a wall in regards to weight after that because I gained muscle in addition to losing fat but it didn't really bother me.

I'm hoping that AMC does a full marathon of the shows before the finale.

No saga legends come with the form for Boba Fett either, and they did not come with order forms for the Qui-Gon/Eopie sets either.  You can use the SL UPCs though.

Although I don't collect the animated line, I'm sure they will revisit the mail-away offer in the future.  But the fact is that they are marketing TCW to kids more than collectors and the Vintage line is more towards collectors than kids.

We saw it today in Imax and I thought it was great.  Looking forward to the finale in July!

I never had the Cloud car or pilot as a kid, but I think the two modern representations are very good.  I also think the new cloud car is great even though I don't have one in my collection as of yet.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2010 "Vintage" Collection Wave 3 - ROTJ

I loved this Luke figure so much that I made him my standard ROTJ base for all of his outfit changes. FYI - I will be changing out Jedi Lukes gloved hand soon

Jack,

I'm curious how you'll do this with the way his wrists are articulated.  To my knowledge, they haven't done this type of articulation on a wrist before.

One thing that would've made this Luke perfect, and a nice vintage nod, would've been a softgoods cape.  :D

Tracy,

Watch the end of Mad Max.  You might find your answer.

Yeah, but he had no time constraints really? Heck, he probably could have sawed through the pipe he was chained to after a few hours.

I haven't seen any of this series yet, so I don't know the context.  Just seemed like a plausible answer.

Interesting response regarding question #1.

My guess on that Luke figure will be a repaint of the Hoth Pilot Luke to make it look like he just came out of the bog.

A nod to Adam over at GH for the image, but it looks like the Bespin Han was originally supposed to be in comic pack form:

My guess is that he made it into TVC with the, most likely, scrapping of the comic pack.

I will probably get a couple to give Cody a few troops.

I'm now kicking myself for never picking up an airborne trooper or two.  I'm sure they will be re-released though.

I got 4-LOM as a mail-a-way figure as a kid.  I always had him as a cool alien bad-guy who the alliance had to fight after Bib Fortuna made a deal with the Imperial remnant and 4-LOM was always good at breaking into the Alliance base.  (I had to come up with some scenario that had even armies).

I think the C-V homage to the "error" firgure is a good representation of the vintage figure while the TLC version is a good representation of the movie character.  The only thing I would change is the trechcoat like Jesse said.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Boba Fett Mail-Away Offer?
« on: November 18, 2010, 07:31 PM »
I received my Baba Fetts in the mail today.  The cards are slightly bent, but nothing a protecto-pak can't cure!

Mine were double-boxed.  Was that the same as the first go around or could that be the improvement?
