Looks like there's something on the other side of the helmet.  It's not the correct rangefinder, but something is sticking up on the left side (right side in the pic).

I think the "Heavy Gunner" Clone just re-uses the AT-RT Driver Head:



I've been trying to figure out exactly what he is, but with the small pic it's harder to guess.

Head = AT-RT Driver
Skirt/Kama = Baccara?  I think all the other skirts (#33 and Evo had holsters, this one doesn't)
Body = ?

I can't quite tell which body that is, but we know it has to most likely be a re-used one.  It's definitely NOT the AT-RT Body (missing the doo-dad on the legs) and not Bacara's body since it doesn't have the right shoulders on the arms.

Yeah... only I'll buy it in a few years after Mattel finally pisses off the JLA/DC Collectors like they did to the He-Man Collectors or any incarnation of Batman really.

Eventually someone will dump their colection on the cheap out of frustration OR Mattel will re-issue him.  Either way, It'll be a lot cheaper than it is now... 

I managed to find a few of these today after work - Yoda, Sun Fac, Poggle.

Poggle and Yoda are pretty much re-hashes, but they did improve the paint job on Poggle IMHO.  Poggle will fit in nicely with my Ep3 Separatists and Yoda looks good in my arena set-up.

Sun Fac though, wow!  He is great.  WAY more ball-joints than I was expecting.  I love his staff and his gun.  I wish they would had put this much effort into ALL of the Geonosian figures they've done.   

Well, they had the AT-AT Drivers just a while ago when I started that post - about 10min before 3pm.

Maybe they are going in and out of stock?  Might not hurt to watch the links and check in every once in a while over the next few days...

Anyone heard anything more about how Lucastrooper will be shipped?  I just got this ugly, ugly info from a BBTS e-mail regarding the vTSC Pre-Order that they have on their site:

...and the Lucas Mail-Away should not be missed, it will also be packed in the vintage style packaging.

WTF?  I guess I was assuming he'd be in a white mailer box, but this makes it sounds like he'll be carded and clamshelled!

If this is true and he does come carded, then that means I will need TWO of these Lucastroopers - one loose and one packaged.

And then I have to ask if can we trust Hasbro to send us minty-mint carded versions?  I hate hate hate the idea of having to send away for multiples of this guy to ensure that I get a minty-mint carded sample in the mail.   

I sooooo want to order them, but...

Getting both Vader AND Stormtrooper together and still paying less than the average eBay price for one of them is just a fantastic deal, but after giving it some thought tonight, I think I'm going to pass.

This summer's "additions" are already starting to sway the way I think about my collecting.  I know that if I grab these two, it will invariably suck me in to tracking down Fett and then shelling out for more as they come out.  They are damn cool, but I guess I've just got to stay strong and let the Kubricks stuff satiate my Medicom desires.
