It's been a fun ride since 1998, but at this price point, I think I'm officially done with the hobby--at least buying at retail.  I may wait a few years and pick up loose stragglers I'm interested in off of eBay, and if I miss out on novelties like Darth Malgus, no biggie.  But this is getting to the point that it's no longer a distracting, fun little hobby.  I ride bicycles, and that's my high end expensive hobby.  I'll just put more money into that now.  Not saying I'll dump what I've got, but I'm just done paying this much for little dinky pieces of plastic.

I bit on that, but felt sick doing so. $25 for two guys and that's considered a good deal? I gotta get a new hobby...

I got a bundle of figures that includes a carded DG Snake Eyes.  I'd be happy to trade it to anyone for a DG Corbra Trooper or Shipwreck.  PM me if interested.  Thanks.

I'm with you on not all figures needing the extra articulation.  I generally prefer the swivel wrist to the ball-jointed, since the ball-jointed wrist just looks goofy.  And I'm totally with you on ankles; very few figures need this.  The exception is the new swivel ankle that they've put on the Red Ninjas, Storm Shadow, and Snake Eyes.  That is a cool joint for ninjas.  The Joe Trooper doesn't need it, though.

It was this one:

So far I've only heard of the new sculpt coming in the Heroic Age Heroes 3-Pack with Iron Man and Thor...

Found a Red Hulk, Grey Hulk, and translucent Iron Spidey this morning at a Wal Mart that has had nothing but two Absorbing Men for months.

Wow, after home runs on the BMF and AT-AT, this abortion ought to put the final nails in the large vehicle coffin built by the Attack Shuttle. With all the iconic vehicles screaming for the large scale treatment, Hasbro comes up with this? Who really wanted an MTT, much less one that sucks this bad? And for $160? I wouldn't pay $30.

Yeah, I'd think if Colton was out there, he'd be up on eBay.  Maybe you saw the Roadblock?  Both are bald and wearing tank tops, right?

Bingo. Weird. I'm sure when I bought the chubby version, I'd completely forgotten about the Saga version. I have way too much of this shot to keep straight. It's embarassing.

The Vintage Collection / Stupid Question About Bespin Luke(s)
« on: June 8, 2012, 10:41 AM »
As most of you know, I am a total dumbass. That being said, I was going through my collection and noticed that I have two different versions of "vintage" Bespin Luke. One is from the 2007(?) Saga Vintage Collection, the ones that came in the clamshell. But I've also got a newer, chubbier version. When did that one come out? Have there been any other figures besides Vader that have gotten resulted releases on the neo-vintage line?

Way I looked at it was at $16.50 shipped, that was about retail plus shipping and handling.

I'd feel better about that rationalization if I only bought one figure; buying three at that price reminds me of the night I spent in jail with a burly biker named Ben.

I'm a dumbass who hadn't seen any of the posts about this anywhere, but fortunately the Malgus came up in my recommendations.  I ordered a Malgus and two Imperial Navy Commanders.  Looks like the seller still has more Death Star Troo--er, Imperial Navy Commanders, but is out of Darth Malgus.  I've already been notified that my order has shipped, and the seller has really good feedback (only three recent negatives, one from an illiterate guy and two who were negatively reviewing the product they got rather than the seller).

Aw, ****.  I'd love the Baron Zemo.  Not interested enough in the other two to nail this set down (incidentally, I've got last year's SDCC Sentinel exclusive that I overpaid for that could use a good home, if anyone's looking...), but I'm hoping the Baron Zemo hits a single card release at some point.
