Anyone watch this? I just saw it for the first time, and am pretty disappointed with it. Not funny at all.

I guess that's why it was canceled. The funniest part in all six episodes was the 'pack of f@gs' routine when Dante and Randal were in England.

You know I watched this again a few weeks ago on HBO-???? and while I immensly enjoyed it when I first saw it, I thought it was pretty bad this time. Sure the jokes are pretty good and the concept of the movie in general is good but Dante and Randall are horrible actors (same goes for Jay and SB which is why I thought Jay and SB Strike Back was not so hot)

Scott, I'm talking about the cartoon that was made for Comedy Central... not the actual movie. I thought the movie was awesome, but the cartoon sucked.

I know...I just think the bit has played out and the dudes not being the best actors was sorta a one shot deal.

Which episode was it Chris?
The reason the series was canceled was ABC's piss poor handling of the show, kind of like what Fox did with The Family Guy. It was never on at the same time and was given the chance that other, less inferior (IMO) shows were given.
There is only so much that can be done on primetime TV with regards to censorship and such and I think that was a big reason on why it didn't catch on (that and the fact that only two episodes were originally aired). Fans were expecting the movie, complete with curses, hermaphaditic porn, drugs and the number 37.
I have the DVD and enjoy watching it. Not as good as the movie obviously, but good in its own way. I especially like the courtroom episode.

It was the courtroom episode... the same one that you like. I didn't find it to be funny at all. I guess it's hard to make the cartoon as funny and great as the movie.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I have the DVD, and I thought the court room episode was great too! I mean, come on....the judge is Judge Reinhold. That's classic.
:)
Seriously though, it's not the movie, and it's not meant to be the movie. It's funny it's in own right. I rank it higher than Futurama, about on par with Family Guy and just below the Simpsons as far as funny primetime cartoons go.
Of course, South Park still trounces them all for me.
BTW...there will be a Clerks cartoon MOVIE coming at some point, so says Kevin Smith....

I just can't believe that they got Alec Baldwin to do one of the voices. That was always very surprising.

After he played a Dog in "Cats vs. Dogs" I don't think there's much he could do that would surprise me. :)
