Just a guess....relic?
The loose figure pics from SDCC showed little relic-type thingys next to each figure, some of which had nothing to do with the figure it was pictured next to. Could they be random pack-ins ala the TSC hologram figures?

The Official Site (http://www.starwars.com/community/news/films/news20071010.html) now has an article up on the Indy Jones packaging for next year as well. The article mentions the LEGO sets hitting in January, with the "other" merchandise hitting in May around the release of the movie. I'm kind of hoping we'll see some of the figures before then, but we'll see. I might be tempted to get a LEGO set before then though.
