Not the most inspired holiday droid offering...

BB8 is cool but the repainting of BB8 doesn’t spark my interests as much as say a different dome might.  Still it’s droid diversity so I’ll get one.  Buddy heading down this week so I hope it’s around.

I'm not thrilled with the price of $12.95 for a BB8. It seems like it should come with something else like maybe holiday D-O?

Same here.  $13 is a lot to ask for a BB-8 droid.  I'll probably pick one up for completeness since I have all the others, but disappointing that they couldn't find a way to give him an extra like the others (santa hat, christmas toque, drink tray, etc).  Feels like they cheaped out on this one. 

If they had taken the time to give him a wreath/scarf around his neck or to use as a base or something else, would have been a lot more festive/fun than just a blah repaint.

I’m right there with buying it for just completeness sake as well...  I mean it’s not like it’s $30 or something ok fine whatever I’ll take it.  I really would have liked an accessory like you mentioned though.  Hell that dangly arm and mini candy corn on the Halloweenie droid last year was my favorite part of it.  🤷‍♂️

This is definitely their laziest effort short of holographic R2 or something like that...  which sells for obscene money now so go figure haha.

I just ordered one off eBay... it seemed like the easiest, quickest way to have it over with.  It was $19.95 shipped.  After fees and shipping unless the seller is stealing these I don't see how they're doing anything other than breaking even.

Some employees (seems to be anyway) I guess sell on eBay for pretty great prices actually.  Or so my buddy told me.  Also people with certain passes get pretty good discounts too. 

My local buddy got me mine and my 4-pack just today!  He’s down there this week with family.  The BB is translucent so that’s kinda cool actually, since it shows off the spiffy balance ball innards of the droid.  That’s kinda cool to me I guess.🤷‍♂️

Annual Pass members get a discount, but if you own a Disney Rewards credit card, you get a discount on purchases over $50.  I spent, and saved, quite a few bucks on our trip!

Got this today from my drug droid dealer who hooks me up with all the Droid Factory stuff as it comes out in DisneyWorld.

The deco for this is pretty neat. I like the the outer-shell of the body is translucent red, that's a neat touch.

One thing that seems like a missed opportunity is that the Droid Factory BB units have a "silly hat" hole just like the Astromechs do. It would have been clever to have this one come with an accessory that plugged into that hole that made him almost like an xmas tree ornament.

It was on ShopDisney.com very briefly a few weeks ago .  I've been watching for a re-stock but haven't seen one yet.

Thanks.  I just paid an eBay guy $21 to be done with it.  I'm still gunshy after missing out on a Halloween droid a couple of years ago that I'm still struggling to track down.
