My eyes are hurting....
-
Same with me. I liked the old layout better.
:P
-
I have to say that it's much more work-friendly though. :)
-
This isn't actually permanent. Chris is doing some work on the server to fix those bugs, and it had reverted back to the default layout this software uses. Don't worrry it is only temporary so all of our retinas should be fine. ;)
-
what the.... :o

Good news is the quote fast feature works!
But yeah, I like the old format better. As a matter of fact, the ONLY reason I left RS was because they changed the look of their forums.
;)
-
Oh it's temporary, I see
What's with those red X's above everyone's avatars?

Those are normally the little rank symbols. They are part of the normal forum template so they are not showing.
-
Please bear with me as I'm updating our colors to work with the new template... hopefully all the problems everyone has been having are gone and just the colors, etc need to be modified.
-
Please bare with me
Look, you provide a great site and forum, but I think you're asking a little too much of us in return here! :o
:D

That's it Chris, I'm sorry, but I quit. I can't work with these conditions. ;)
-
Temporary or not, I'd get used to it. It's the posts that make JD better and more unique than any other forum, not the look.
-

Whoa! I'm with ya Jesse. See ya Chris! ;)
Tho I do like looking at my avatar at the top left corner. ;D

Ack! This really threw me for a loop when I logged on. I'm glad it's not permanent the white is kind of hurting my eyes...
The old layout is so much better, looking forward for it to change back.

took the words right out of my mouth. its hard to make posts when itsd light orange on white. :P
-
Its going to take some getting used to on this new layout!
-
I looked and didn't see it, but did the "Show bad words" option disappear. I don't want to see **** or *****, I want to see f u c k and b i t c h.
-
The layout isn't done, and I'm working on getting this annoying white background in the posting box to be changed. Honestly though, other than that, there isn't much else that is all that different.
-
Is there something at the top of the screen that tells me how many personal messages I have like the last format...or, do I have to click on my messages to find that out all the time now?
--Asked only because I get so many PM's ;D 8)
-
Well, I'm starting to like it already. :)
-
I use IE and Firefox, and with Firefox, the new coloring is awful. There's this ugly, light muddy-gray color instead of the darker blue to differentiate posts in a thread (one after another) and in the listing of threads within sections, and even this page is gray (at least the reply box is...not the text box within the reply box). It makes the yellow-orange text not stand out so well...making it very hard to read.
Is this something that can/will be adjusted?
IE looks great so far.
Also, may I suggest having a link to the main Jedidefender.com page on the top and bottom of every page in the forums. It's just easier to snap up and go to the main page on a moment's notice.
In addition, I would prefer larger text links for the JediDefender.com Forums > Community > Site Feedback, Suggestions, and Help > Post reply ( Re: Its.....SO WHITE! ) heirarchy at the top of the pages. Just easier to get to.
-
Its.....SO WHITE!

Oh that made my day... Michael Richards, you're a caution!

I'm not sure if it's possible to modify the colours between the 2 browsers, but here's the difference:
Internet Explorer

Firefox

Besides that, I've gotta say I really like the update. 8)
-
Those are the exact colors I get on my 2 browsers Jesse, that Firefox is just like my Opera! :-\
[Barf] They've gone to plaid! [Barf] :D
-
Well, that sucks.
I'll wait to bitch about the stupidity of the browser when I figure out which one is causing the problem. I only tested in IE. Thanks for bringing it up.

While I like the new layout, I'm not sure I like having the "Total time logged in" bar so prominently displayed though. I'll never hear the end of it if the hubby sees how much time is spent here. ;)

13 days, 21 hours, and 5 minutes. Jeez. I'm not sure I like it either...I really don't need reminding that I could have spent 13 days of my life doing other things.
-
15 days 48 minutes and 32.8 seconds to be exact for myself ;)
-
20 days, 17 hours and 25 minutes.
Yikes.
-
30 days, 20 hours and 11 minutes.
But in my defense, I frequently have the forums running in the background while I'm doing something else.
-
31 days, 15 hours and 19 minutes
-
87 days, 12 hours and 26 minutes :-[ ;)
-
48 days, 17 hours and 27 minutes...
Mine is always collapsed by default. But I never set anything in my profile settings. Is it showing by default for everyone else?
-
Well I'll be damned. I guess you can collapse it. (Guys, it's the little +/- box on the upper right next to the clock.)
Ryan, I never noticed it before, and since the upgrade it was showing by default. Was it available previously and I just never noticed it?
-
6 days, 2 hours, and 17 minutes for me. I thought that was quite a bit...that is, until I saw everyone else's time logged in. :-X
-
Spell check?!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
The new layout has grown on me. Not sure I like the "Time logged in" bit, but it is amusing. ;) The PM storage space indicator is brilliant.
-
The bit at the top with the time logged in and things can be minimized if you want Anton... There's a "-" or "+" on the right next the date and time you can use to hide some of that stuff I believe. I don't see my time logged in then.
-
Snow?
I'm blind! I'm blind!!!!1!!
-
Oh so now you get snow! :P
-
Well, that sucks.

The site still looks like ass in Firefox.
