Hey *******...  Back off!!!   >:(

That AT-AT is for the WOTC mini collectors/gamers.

So wait the hell 'til I get mine, and THEN you may have one, if there's any left.

Thanks.
NO green freaky thing from my stormtrooper for you then :-*

Great googly moogly, that thing isn't a mini.  That looks full scale.

Ain't it beautiful?!  I may need one of these too.  Knowing I had beaten Matt to getting one of these would just make it that much prettier too.   :-*

And Brent, I apologize.  I'd very much like to have your green freaky thing from your stormtrooper.

Thank you.

More ROTS mini pix from Gaming Report:

**Potential SPOILERS**

Grievous' Wheelbike sure looks cool.  Interesting to see some type of "running" Vader there as well...

So I was down in Indiana and there was jack squat to find for ROTS merchandise :-\.  I ended up in a gaming store and broke down and bought a pack of Rebel Storm (booster pack) for $12.95.  Not sure if it was a good price, but I wanted to see these things, in hand (aside from the bonus version in my unleased stormie).

They're pretty nice, but they really didn't get me all that fired up.  Certainly not fired up enough to buy anymore, though the game pack (or whatever it's called) with the Vader and Luke were tempting.  My box had the following:

Tusken Raider
Wookie Soldier
Ithorian Scout
Rebel Trooper
Stormtrooper :)
Stormtrooper Officer :D
Sandtrooper on Dewback ;D

I thought that was pretty cool to get three Imperials like that in a single box.  I have to confess that I was tempted for about a day, because I thought that was pretty good luck.  I wanted to score a Vader as well and thought the starter pack would have been the safest way, plus I guess I would have scored another very rare in the mix (or maybe just a rare?).  But I can't complain too much.

The checklist is nice to put in there too, especially wiht the levels of collectability.  It did a fine job of discouraging me :P  Unlike Colman, I could have lived without a complete set, but seeing that Vader is R/VR, Obi is VR, Palpatine is VR as are many of the other figures I wanted, it was easier to not go into it.  Most of the commons are fairly disinteresting to me as were many of hte uncommons so why bother?

I'll keep my stormies, but if anyone wants the commons, I'm not at all attached to them.   :P

Hello, buddy.   :-*

I'll take any extras you don't want.  If you wanna ditch the Dewback, I may be interested, and could maybe trade you something for it.  We can discuss...

As for price, you paid the exact retail.  Not bad.  Not great either.  Most of the hardcore mini collectors and gamers buy them by the case (12 booster packs) so each pack averages out to only $8 or $9, or thereabouts.

As for Vader, yeah, he's a Rare in the Starter set, along with the (Tatooine) Luke Rare.  They're guaranteed in that set, and then there's an additional 8 random commons and Uncommons in it too.  But there's another "Sith Lord" Vader, who's a Very Rare and only in the boosters (randomly), and one of the toughest ones to get of the bunch.  Runs about $20-$25 or so on eBay these days, I think...  He seems to command the second highest price after Boba Fett, from what I've seen.

What were you doing in Indy?!  Bugs?  A month before you're heading BACK down there?  Weird...   :P

Word on the street is $50 MSRP for the AT-AT.

And Hasbro can't do full-size vehicles at good prices?  My hairy white ass they can't.  :(  That thing's about as big as the Kenner AT-AT sculpt, plus it's brand friggin' new from the ground up, and it still is coming in at $50.

And they can't do a $50 Y-Wing that's full scale?  Yeah...  right.   ::)

My spares are yours Matt.  I'm inclined (at the moment) to keep the Dewback.  Since the bulk of the stormtroopers are commons, I may track them down.  Pity the rest of the starter set is only common and uncommon, I might have still picked it up were there at least something rare in there.  Oh well, more money in my pocket.

Entomological Society of America - North Central Branch meeting in West Lafayette (Purdue U).  We host in 2007 so I was down to do some shmoozing and that I did.  Lordy but I did consume a large quantity of Killian's Red :-X  So yeah, exact same flights in a month.  Indy has a small airport.

Couple more WOTC previews up (SPOILERS)...

The Yuzzem:

And young Boba Fett:

Kinda lame looking on these two, I think.  I wonder if the Yuzzem will actually get some screen time...?

POSSIBLE SPOILER PICS!!

Ok, got some good ones, and quite a few doubles.
Going to do a Demo at the shop tomorrow for any SW fans that come in (That is why I have them to open today, not selling them till tomorrow).
Anywho, I really like the new gameboard, more like a board game style board. Seems pretty sturdy(sp?) and is a good size too!
