What are your plans for your collection when you die?

I'd like to be entombed with it all inside of a pyramid. It has to be with me in the afterlife. He who dies with the most wins.

I'm guessing it won't really be up to me once I'm dead.  Hopefully one of my kids will be interested.  If not, I would probably have to unload it before I die.  I certainly wouldn't want to burden my family with it if no one wants it.   :-\

My dad had a very large collection of books and records (and 8-tracks, for those who know what those are). My sisters and I donated most of the books to small town library, kept a few of the books and records that reminded us of him the most, and sold or gave away the rest. It was far too much stuff for any of us to ever read, listen to, or even store.

I intend to enjoy my collection at roughly the size it is for another 10-15 years (picking some up, selling some off), then whittle it down to the kubricks and a few other favorites. I'll talk to my daughters when I am selling parts off, to see if there is anything they remember particularly fondly and would want to keep. If I go before then, I've given my wife the tour of the spreadsheet so at least she will have a starting point to get rid of whatever they want to.

I like this idea.  Enjoy all of it for a number of years, then reduce it to a more manageable size down the road and see what my kids might be interested in.

I plan on regenerating ala The Doctor, so I should be able to continue enjoying the collection for many centuries to come. Of course if that doesn't work, I've got two little boys, if they end up being as geeky as their old man then they're welcome to it.
