Title: Help with a custom
Post by: ratm on March 21, 2006, 01:06 PM
I nedd help fitting a ball socket head onto a different character. Specifically I have the Evolutions Palpatine body and I want the new Sora Bulq head to fit on it. The ball portion is too small and I want to know the best way to make it fit without using superglue. Thanks

First off, welcome to JD!   :)

I would say, maybe try filling in the bottom of the hold in Sora's head with some sort of putty?

Get some citadel modeling epoxy then sculpt a little on the neck post till it is the same diameter as the Sora neck post. Let it cure according to the instructions and voila 8) lemme know how it turns out.

Gday mate and welocome aboard hope you have a good time here.

The most easiest way to make the head stay on without superglue or any putty is blu-tac-blob just insert some of it into the head and push it down onto the neck section.

Looks to me like any of those three options would work.  Chewies and Hembles are the least "permanent"and may be the most accessible (I don't know how easily you can get to a Games Workshop).

you could cut off the balls  ;D and switch them and keep cutting the actual neck down to size so he's not looking like a giraffe or anything.  and then repaint the skin to match.  i'd suggest drilling a hole in both the neck and the ball and glue some sort of post, paper clip or pin, for suppport when you glue the ball to the neck.
