Watto's Junk Yard / Re: burger king breakfast....real eggs?

That mustve been a long time ago because I always used fresh eggs for the folded eggs.

Yeah, I left there around 7 years ago. Damn, I'm getting old...  :'(

I got burger king sausage, egg and cheese sandwhich for breakfast. I took the top of the bread off and noticed the eggs were completely yellow. There were no whites, it looked fake. Does anyone know if it has real eggs in it. It is really good, i am not complaining, just curious

It wouldn't surprise me if they did. When I worked at Mickey D's back in my high school days, we used liquid PWEs (Pasteurized Whole Eggs) for the "folded" egg sandwiches, like the Bacon, Egg and Cheese. We used standard eggs for the McMuffins.

OK, I'm in - I've got the 'topes registered. Anyone who dares challenge me for the cellar of the league gets banned over at GH.    ;)  :P

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Huge Spoiler!

I like the new pictures from the Main page.  I wonder what the MPAA will have to say about it if we see this image in the movie.  If its in there they got to give it a higher rating then the rest of the movies.

I'm sure it'll be toned down to the level that E3 can get away with a PG rating. After all, we have seen Anakin's arm chopped off and Darth Maul split in two with a PG rating attached.

Those certainly look very cool and add to my excitement. Nice job Chris & crew!  8)

Anyways, a few of my favorites have already been posted earlier (see Shania Twain, Alyssa Milano and Elisabeth Shue), but here are two of my top 5 that I haven't seen in the previous pages:

Neve Campbell

Michelle Branch

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: My new love...Chipotle Burritos
« on: November 26, 2003, 12:19 PM »
Didn't Chipotle start in Denver before being taken over by Satan?  They are the best burritos I've had...here's an idea Matt.  Pack a couple in dry ice and send them on up to me and I'll give each one a whirl...we'll see which is better :-*

They may have. I'm not sure if they started here in Denver or not, but Chipotle has been here for over 4 years.

Of course, we could always do the burrito gaunlet taste test the next time you are out here in Denver as well.  :-*

These are fairly new to Minnesota and there is one right down the road from my house...I cannot say how much I love this place.

I usually go for the Barbacoa (spicy shredded beef) with hot Salsa, Black beans, Sour Cream and Cheese and then add in some Chipotle Tabasco for good measure.

Sure its fast food and sure they are owned by Satan but if you haven't tried it, you are missing out!

www.chipotle.com

Don't take this the wrong way Scott, but Chipotle sucks ass.   :)  There is a local set of places (Denver/Boulder area) called Illegal Pete's and a regional place called Qdoba, both of whose "fast food" burritos put Chipotle to shame.

Yeah, it'd be really nice of Hasbro to offer the Pit Droids in some other manner.

I have one each of the 5 figures carded w/ a Pit Droid, but never felt the desire to get all 15 carded variations.

Matt #3...Bon Jovi, two days after PJ?  Ugh...

Question and I think you said stuff about it at the PJ thread at GH but was there widespread booing and people leaving the show as was reported in the media

Two of the shows I went to had Bu$hleauger and I heard no boos...that song has some of my favorite lines on Riot Act

"i remember when you sang...that song about today...now it's tomorrow and everything has changed "

Hehe, it's going to take a while to get used to the #3 part ;)

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of going to concerts that close together. The Bon Jovi show was pretty good, although I have to admit I'm really only a fan of their 80's stuff.  That show wasn't anywhere near the experience that PJ was though!

There was a bit of booing at times during the show and Ed was heckled (told to "shut up") while expressing his views at one point, but the news reports of the show gave the impression that there was more booing and mass quantities of people that walked out on the show. I saw a handful of people head for the exits, but nowhere near the numbers implied by the reports.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: mp3 players
« on: August 19, 2003, 12:50 PM »
This thread was formerly about CD's but thought I'd ask, anyone have an iPod or other type of mp3 players.  Being new (and late) to the game, I've been thinking of picking one up.  Plus my new car has a factory stereo in it so I've thought of upgrading that as well

Anyone have experience and or recommendations

Scott, I have a 15 GB iPod and I love it to death! I love being able to take a good chunk of my music collection to school with me and on the road in the car. It's got a non-removable rechargeable battery that makes it 9+ hours on a single charge and it's relatively easy to navigate through the large number of songs (I've got around 1000 songs on it right now and I still have over 10 GB free) that can be stored. One downside if you have a PC, you either need a IEEE-1394 (Firewire) port or you need to buy a USB-to-Firewire converter, which I believe you can only get directly from Apple - I haven't seen them at Best Buy or Circuit City. If you have the 1394 port, the iPod's battery charges while hooked up to the computer; if you go the USB-Firewire converter, I don't believe the battery charges while hooked up to the computer.

I've come to the realization that me telling my perspective and story on the whole RS/CSW merger and the BHC/'Scum forums from that point to now isn't going to do anyone any good at all. :-X

After the GH split, I realized that the spirit of what was the BHC was no longer present at 'Scum's forums - they had turned into something else completely and  had a different feel. I hadn't visited Wuher's in the longest time until someone emailed me and told me to check out Scott's "work" from the other night.  I'm really at  RS anymore only to read the vintage forums and was really caught off-guard to the extent that things had changed over there. Heck, I think 90% of the people in there would treat me as a newbie if I started posting in the Cantina again, which is a very weird feeling, since that place felt like home for 2 years.

I've been asked if I'm disappointed with the state of the GH forums and I have to say, I'm not in the least. IMO, the most important part of a good, fun community is a solid base, which I think both GH and JD have (especially since a good portion of the bases for each site are comprised of the same people). I'm around the people with whom I've discussed Star Wars and life in general for the last 5 years; people that I've helped out with items or those that have helped me out; people that I've spent a good portion of the day with at C2 - people that I've come to know and respect as friends. Even though I haven't been around these forums as much as I'd like to, I get the exact same vibes about the community that is beginning to blossom here.  Numbers should never be the quantifying measure of the success or failure of a forum, but rather the quality of the people and the posts.  :)
