Post by: Sith Lord Cosmo on June 7, 2003, 06:23 PM
Its pretty obvious we all spend too much time on our computers ;) so, what's everyone's deskspace look like.

I have two workspaces, one for my laptop (which I use just to surf and all that) and the other for my Mac (which I use to make the graphics for this site).

First up - My room is home to my new Laptop... I've labeled the landmarks of my desktop, as you can see, there is indeed a train above my desk, and above that train is the actual track that runs around my entire cieling (will post pics of that in the train thread).

Second - My Macintosh
This is the "office" of the house, which isn't quite mine yet (though I've been able to slip a few of my belongings onto the desktop). As you can see, unlike some lame people I don't have a Vanilla Ice photo ( :P), instead, I've got an Elvis photo,  :D!

Nice pix fellas!  Very cool workspaces all three of you have.  You don't even want to see my "work space" where the computer is right now.  Our desk is currently a total nightmare!

Love the "scale replica of your parakeet" Brad!  Great Vanilla Ice pic too Jeff!  Sure you're not in his Official Fan Club...   ::)  I believe ya'!   :-*

Brad, as a Mac user myself, what kind of Mac do you have?  The My laptop is a G3 Pismo and I have  G4 Tower that you can't see

My tower in front of the chair out-of-view, but it's a G4.

Don't burn me at the stakes, but the laptop isn't a Mac  :-[

Burn you at the stake?  Why would we want to do that Brad?  You've just gained acceptance into a much larger world (of PC'ers)!   ;D  Maybe Jeff and John will want to burn you at the stake, but the rest of us would be happy to protect you...   ;)   :-*

I 'll protect you Brad :)

Niec work spaces you guys have. Mine is baron at the moment. Nothing SW at work except a desk calander. Home is just as empty now. The office is a work in progress. I have a closet to convert into a book case and just had new carpet installed so now it is a clean canvas for me to transform.

I'd like to post a picture directly but I don't know how, so I made a link.  Mine actually had the Star Wars theme going but I change my stuff around a lot and right now it's LOTR. ;)

Nice stuff folks.  My room is in progress.  No webspace though so no pics for you.  Yet.  Going to have to do the evolution of the room, which used to be the spare bedroom.  In a moment of weakness, the missus let me turn it into something else.  Need some brackets and some shelves, maybe a table and then we'll get going.  Heh. ;D

Here's a picture of my monitor (http://www.chrisrhoads.com/photos/starwars_gallery_2/106_0621.jpg) that I use for all my high-powered applications.  Lately I've been using my IBM Thinkpad 600X for most of my web-browsing and email.

Here are a few pics of my workspace. The second shot shows a little temp desk and machine I set up so I can get things done more productively. These are the main 2 computers I use, the other desks are worse looking than this. No Star Wars at the computers, sorry.

I refer back to the tried and true axiom "A clean desk is the sign of a sick mind".  :)  So, by applying that theory to my own desk, I think I might be the sanest person in the world.
