Starting a new weekly/biweekly (as I get around to it) feature at JD.com, what's missing from the Hasbro line. First up...Episode I Padme Amidala.
Padme Handmaiden

While fleeing from the invading armies of the Trade Federation, the wily Amidala disguises herself as a Handmaiden to lessen her risk of being captured. Padme rides aboard the Royal Starship in this outfit. A Handmaiden was a choice in Fan Choice #5, perhaps this figure has a good shot at being made.
Amidala Travel Gown

One of the few figures to be made as a 12" figure and not in the 3-3/4" line. This lush purple gown was worn aboard the Royal Starship as the Jedi and Panaka are discussing where to land the Starship for repair. Also note that she also wears this gown to Qui Gon's funeral. There is a good chance this one might get made eventually, especially since they made the 12" Figure.
Amidala Pre-Senate Gown

Worn while in the offices of Senator Palpatine, this gown is very ornamental in nature. A nice nod to the kamino style dresses of Japan! Not seen for very long, this figure is a real long shot.
Amidala Post-Senate Gown

After her Senate speech, Amidala confides to Jar Jar that she is unsure of what will happen on Naboo. She is dissapointed in the political machine that is the Senate. This gown is seen when she greets Palpatine on his return to Naboo after the defeat of the Trade Federation. Another good choice for a figure, one that represents multiple scenes.
Amidala Naboo Celebration Gown

One of my personal favorite scenes of The Phantom Menace is the closing parade featuring the Naboo and Gungans celebrating the defeat of the Trade Federation. One of the most demanded figures yet to be made for Episode I, the Celebration Gown Amidala was a strong rumor for late 2004. Lets hope this one pans out!

I am really itching for all those Amidala figures from EP1.
I really want a re-release of the Battle Amidala, that would be pretty awesome if Hasbro, re-released that figure on the same EP1 card. Like Toy Biz, does for LOTR.

Very cool column Scott. I am patiently waiting for the many Padme's that Hasbro has yet to make (female figures DO sell ya know big H :P ).
and the Padawan's Guide is THE source for costuming needs.

Yeah. I did notice that female figures, and bad guys sell out! Everyone seems to like them more for some reason?

I really think Celebration and the Handmaiden will happen, the other 3 are toss ups...I hope they all get made eventually because every one has been really well done.

I think the same, but I really have faith in that Naboo Travel Gown figure. And then the Battle figure, I know it will see it's way back in stores!

I also think the handmaiden and celebration outfits are the most likely, but I've thought that since 1999. >:( After those, the one I want most is the Pre-Senate one, which from the sounds of it you guys think has the least chance.
Now, bring on the EP2 wardrobe!

I don't know. I would love to see the Handmaiden and the Celebration, yet I wonder if they will be made? The line is slowing down, profits were down last year so I think we may see one or the other, but not both. I really hope I am wrong on this one.

The rumors tend to highlight the celebration figure of Padme which would give us something to display with the giant Boss Nass from the POTJ line...

That would make sense. A Screen Scene with Celebration Padme, bigass Nass, and the elusive Sio Bibble. (With a corressponding Massassi Temple set featuring Leia, Luke, and Han. ;) )

ANd then there were 3...nice of them to take care of the Orange Handmaiden and Celebration Amidalas
I think Purple Gown is still a possibility someday, the other two though are long shots
