6" Black Series Rogue One Wave 5 (aka Wv 11)
« on: January 18, 2017, 09:38 AM »
Rumored Lineup for Wave 11

1x #27 Director Krennic (Rogue One)
1x #38 Royal Guard (Episode VI)
1x #39 Lando Calrissian (Episode V)
1x #40 Qui-Gon Jinn (Episode I)
1x #41 Tusken Raider (Episode IV)
1x #42 Hera Syndulla (Rebels)

I guess Krennic is better than another Jyn or Cassian but I'd rather have Baze or Chirrut carried over.

These apparently went up on Hasbro Toy Shop at 4 or 5am this morning and sold out pretty quick. It'd be a good bet they come back tomorrow morning with cancellations and such.

I checked this morning and never did see them pop back in, but it my have happened earlier that I got there. (7ish)

I did play the F5 game for awhile this morning at Amazon and got lucky though. I managed to pick up Lando, Qui Gon, Tusken Raider and eventually, even the ERG, for $21.99 each with free shipping.  ;D

I just feel so bleak about the prospects of these turning up in stores, ala Baze and Chirrut.

I won't get too excited til they ship though...

I got my case of wave 11.  All of the new figures look really nice!

Qui-Gon looks fantastic, and this figure really shows that if Hasbro wants to they could do some amazing work on the PT era Jedi.  And I think that Mace Windu, Plo Koon, TPM Obi-Wan, AOTC Anakin, Aayla Secura, Shaak Ti and Kit Fisto would be great additions to this line.

Glad to see that we've finally got Lando in this line.  But I do find the cape on Lando to be a little bit of a headscratcher, especially considering the softgoods on the Royal Guard.  I imagine the challenge there may have been getting fabrics that would work for both the inside and the outside of the cape.

I'm really looking forward to opening up the Royal Guard.  I definitely appreciate the homage to Crimson Empire with the armor.  But I'm very much looking forward to getting a second ERG so that they can stand on either side of Palpatine.

The red eyes variant on K-2SO seems a little odd.  I wonder if the change was deliberate, or the result of changing factories?

I got my shipping notice for these guys, should be here today.  :)

Thanks for the reminder about K-2SO, Nick. I forgot I need the new version of him too. Sigh.

Was there a red eyed K2 droid in Rogue One or is this a Hasbro EU creation? Trying to decide if that's worth tracking this one down over.

Man, this is such a great wave. I finally got around to opening all the new ones and there's not a dud in the bunch. The soft goods on the ERG and Raider are the best they've done. And the new style eyes on Qui Gon are a big step up. The quality of this line has been strong lately.

Glad to see the news over at Yakface about Hera.  I was a little bummed that she got pulled from this wave, but if she's going to be offered as part of the TLJ line?  Then maybe she'll be a bit easier to find than Ahsoka was.

I think it's probably just a variation between factories.  Hasbro may have changed some of their production facilities, which may explain the different paint work on the 3.75" Finn in the Finn & Phasma 2-pack.  That could be what's at work with this K-2SO.

Got my Lando and Tusken from Amazon yesterday. Haven't opened them but they look great. Agreed with McMetal on the quality, I LOVE the amount of accessories that comes with the Tusken. IMO this is kind of a standard we should be getting with this line.

I managed to order Tusken Raider, Lando, and Qui-Gon on HTS.com today.   The Royal Guard is out of stock.

So, I have found this wave at a couple of local Walmarts the past few days and only Krennic and K-2SO scan at the register. The four new ones don't and when they key the UPC in they come up as $18.84, not $9.84 like all the rest of their BS 6" figures.

If you feel like a nice helping of frustration, try convincing a Walmart manager that these should all be the same price, which is the advertised price on the pegs, $9.84. That's not a sale or clearance price, and it's not like these are exclusives or anything. But man, they do not want to honor that price. Even after explaining how the two differently priced figures came out of the exact same box.

Not complaining really, it's always nice to see new stuff out, just seems sketchy to have the arbitrary pricing like that.
