Thanks to Brian for reminding me to start this thread...
Anyone excited for this new line next Spring?
Just like my complaints about the DCC stuff (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=22776.0) - why the heck are they wasting time/effort on video game 4" figures before giving us nice, classic comic costumes?!? Ugh. ::)
I have zero interest in the DCC God Among Us/Injustice 4" stuff and I have no interest in the Arkham City/Asylum Batfigures in Multiverse Wave 1. :-\
Wave 2 looks promising though... not sure if it will be all Keaton-Batman wave or if it will be more of a classic DC movie wave with Reeves Superman too. Guess we wait for NYCC or NYTF to see that wave...

I dont remember hearing about or seeing these. Any pics?

You can see a bit of them within this gallery, but there are pics of other DC lines mixed in as well:

I'm sort of interested, but as Jeff said, I don't too much care for the video game stuff really either. If they start getting into more comic styled stuff (like Marvel Universe) I'll take a closer look. It is strange how Hasbro and Mattel seem to be going opposite ways with their Marvel and DC lines these days. One starts to focus more on 6", one nearly abandons 6".

Looks like Mattel revealed some of the movie figures that will be included in this line, including Christopher Reeve Superman, Keaton Batman, Batman Returns Catwoman and Penguin, and General Zod (Stamp). I have to say, from these pics they don't look too bad:

I am really excited for these. I've wanted Christopher Reeve Superman figures forever, and here we are. Very cool. Batman is great too.

Wow, I am totally enthralled by the drama these are kicking up at the big general toy sites (AFI, TNI, Fwoosh, etc). Mattel's 6" scale guys are PISSED that after years and years of begging for Reeve and Keaton 6" Movie Masters, Mattel finally offer up what they were begging for... but only in this new 4" scale that no one wanted. Awesome. :D
Reeves Superman looks great, but I can see why everyone is pissed. I imagine Hasbro announcing 6" Black Series Tonnika Sisters would set off the same chain reaction over here. :P

I'm buying them all. They just look sick. I hope for a drunk/evil Superman from SMIII

Those look AWESOME. I've criticized Mattel in the past for their shoddy attempts at 3.75 inch lines, but these actually look like they could hold up to Hasbro offerings. While I'd prefer more traditional comic outfits, I'm down for a few of these.

I spotted Wave 1 of these at both Target and TRU the other day. Batman, Mr. Freeze, Azreal and Deadshot, all based on their appearances from the Arkham City video game. I ultimately passed on them for now, mainly due to a lack of accessories.
-
Yeah these are out in full force here in Iowa and not moving. Naturally wave 2, where the movie figures come into it, will be HTF as a result. Then again it's early, so we'll see. Not a good sign so far though.

These showed up at Wally here today. I had four in my hands - Batman, Azrael, Bane and Mr. Freeze. Then I put them back. Couldn't bring myself to buy them. :-\
Is this going to be the equivalent of a MU line for DC?
-
Yes, except a much shorter run. ;)
-
Is this going to be the equivalent of a MU line for DC?
Not really. It's mostly based on video game and or old movie designs. Doesn't really seem like it's going to stray much beyond Batman/Superman according to Mattel.
-
Thanks guys. I was hoping for this scale for a little more depth in the DC line, but I'm guessing no GL, Green Arrow, Flash, etc. Kind of a pity.

Spotted Chris Reeve Superman and Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman at Target yesterday. Both looked good but Supes had questionable paint apps on his face, specifically the eyes.
