Collections / My Star Wars Collection (Update)
« on: January 25, 2007, 05:02 PM »
I finally completed the "re-organization" of my collection.  It's a growing collection b/c of all the great figures Hasbro is releasing these days (has their been a better time to be a SW toy fan?)

I bought the shelves from Lowes/Home Depot.  I still have room to add more shelves to my wall if necesary.

Enjoy!  (Don't mind my Longhorn items.   ;))

One wall holds my OT collection, less the cornor shelf displaying the Skywalker wedding and Custom Longhorn Clone Trooper.

My small, but soon-to-grow Cantina scene.  I'm hoping to add a Puklight to give the proper lighting, since the alcove is dark when the room is lit.

Jabba The Hut is from the Vintage line and my childhood!

The Skywalker wedding from AOTC (my wife's idea).

My other wall is dedicated to the PT.

My Padme collection (missing 2 Padme figures still).

The third wall holds 5 of my 6 vehicles, and the bookcase holds my Clones and SW novels.

Star Wars Action Figures / Custom Longhorn Clone Trooper
« on: December 26, 2006, 10:06 AM »
Well, after opening my gift from LJ, I had to post pics of the custom Longhorn Clone Trooper (done by the one & only CHEWIE).  Awesome work and a real surprise on Christmas Day!  Thanx guys!  This brought a smile to my face!  Now, to create a small squadron called the "Longhorn Battalion".   8)

CHEWIE perfectly painted the Longhorn Clone, but the idea/design is all LJ, including the display case.

Site Feedback, Suggestions, and Help / Sub-Forum links
« on: December 12, 2006, 10:02 AM »
Hey guys,

I am happy with the overall look to the forums.  The only thing I do miss from the old format is the sub-forums appearing on the main forum screen.  For example, I am involved in the PN community, and I was able to easily access that forum by clicking on the sub-forum Photonovels under the Customs Section.  Since I am not very interested in Customs, I liked being able to bypass that forum and go directly to the Photonovel forum.

Is it possible to post direct links to all sub-forums under the main forum link?

Thanx in advance,

Darin

Watto's Junk Yard / SW music videos on YouTube.com
« on: October 30, 2006, 06:02 PM »
I posted this over at RS, but since some here don't visit that site, I thought this was worth mentioning to the JD community.

There are plenty of funny and stupid SW videos on YouTube.  In contrast, I found three great music videos that SW fans made.  The following three videos do an unbelivable job of combining pop/rock music to video images of the entire Saga.  Can't say which is my favorite, but I recommend viewing all of them and commenting.

Evanescence "Lies (Remix)" - "Anakin in Conflict"

Smashing Pumpkins "Disarm" - "The Skywalker Family"

LeAnn Rimes "Please Remember" - "Anakin's True Self"

Photonovels and Movies / THE STORMTROOPER TALES
« on: July 10, 2006, 04:16 PM »
Just for fun, guys...

THE STORMTROOPER TALES I

S.P.I.

While spreading the new brand of “peace” to the Empire, two Stormtroopers, Barry and Larry, explore each world the Empire invades.  This is their tale.

The S.P.I. Tale:  While exploring an unknown dessert planet, Larry and Barry get separated from the rest of the 501st Legion.  Always making the best of any situation, Larry and Barry begin to explore the strange but familiar surroundings.

Larry:   What a desolate place this is.
Barry:    Look at it this way…at least we got some peace and quiet.  We deserve a short vacation.  It’s gets boring destroying all those civilizations.  Some variety will do us some good.

Larry:   We are going to be in big trouble this time.
Barry:    Stop worrying.  You worry too much.  Hey, wait a minute……I’ve been here before.

Larry:   Sure you have.  Just admit, we’re lost!!!
Barry:    Lost?  Me??  I know exactly where I am.  Don’t you?

Barry:    And if my memory serves me correctly, there is a real cool hangout over this way.  Come on, follow me.

Barry:   Trust me, you are really going to like this place.
Larry:    That’s what you said right before that rancor chased me into that cave full of nexu.

Larry:   There is something up ahead.

Barry:    No, that’s not it.
Larry:   Are you sure?  Looks pretty cool to me.

Barry:   Yeah, I’m sure.  I’ve stayed here before.  This place is filthy.  They have a real big problem with sand getting everywhere.
Larry:    Perhaps we should report this back to Central Command.

Barry:   Naaaa, they’ll find it eventually.  The place I’m thinking of is just over those hills.

Barry:   You know you should really lighten up, Larry.
Larry:    I know, Barry.  But I just can’t help myself sometimes…

Larry:    W-W-What’s that smell???
Barry:   It’s starting to come back to me now…

Larry:   No, seriously……what’s that smell?!?!

Barry:   Now this is what I’m talking about!!!

Larry:   This place?
Barry:    Last one in is a rotten Bantha!

Barry:   HEY LADIES!  I'M BACK!!!
Larry:    Barry?

Watto's Junk Yard / Video Games That Suck?
« on: May 18, 2006, 12:43 AM »
Had to post this **** over here.

Another great opinion by JD's favorite RS idiot, MISTERKENOBI

Gamecube is a 1000% better system than PS2. PS2 is the biggest POS ever labelled as a video game. Give me a Virtual Boy over a PS2.

Nintendo beats the hell out of Sony any day of the week. Nintendo's worst game is better than PS2's best. This system (it's the first I've heard of it) will no doubt rule! I already own a 360, and I laugh everytime I think about PS3. But the price and titles for this system speak for itself. I will own one of these without a doubt.

PS3 will be good. That is, if you only like games like Madden or Fight Night. Other than that, the system will make a fine $600 DVD Player.

I have neglected my GC for a few months, so I went out and bought a few games for it today, the Megaman Anniversary Collection, the Megaman X Collection, and the Sonic Mega Collection. Awesome!

His opinion, I understand, but to prefer the Virtual Boy over a PS2???? Come on!  ::)

DARK ILLUSIONS

A Clone Wars story

As the Republic is ravaged by the Clone Wars, the Jedi and Grand Clone Army of the Republic continue their search for Count Dooku and General Grievous.

The Jedi act as Generals on the field of battle, instructing the Clones and advanced engineered Commanders. However, as like the atmosphere in the Republic Senate, fear & distrust race across the galaxy.

As the Clone Wars continue to drag on, a victory followed by a defeat every week, the Republic continues to strive for peace while maintaing hope for a return to the peaceful times that lasted for over a 1,000 years.

And it begins...

Newbies / Hello
« on: November 2, 2005, 12:09 PM »
Finally created an account here on Jedi Defender!

Some of you may know me from the RS forums, mostly for my photonovels.  I will have to test the way to post my photonovels here, before posting them.

Nice to be part of another SW community, more grown-up version!
