- TVC Axe Woves (TM Season 3) = kitbash of Target figure with S3 updates

Here's a comparison image I found. I notice the chest armor changes, jumpsuit and belt color changes, a different holster, and mods to the jetpack. All changes are on the minor side though. I'd much rather have had a S1 or a S3 Greef Karga, any other new Mandalorian, or literally anything else new.

STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION SABINE WREN
(HASBRO/Ages 4 years & up/Approx. Retail Price: $27.99 / Available: Fall 2023)

Set after the fall of the Empire, AHSOKA follows former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. Fans can celebrate the legacy of STAR WARS, the action-and-adventure-packed space saga from a galaxy far, far away, with this premium 3.75-inch scale STAR WARS: THE VINTAGE COLLECTION SABINE WREN figure inspired by STAR WARS: AHSOKA live-action series. This figure features premium detail and design across product and packaging inspired by the original Kenner line, as well as the entertainment-inspired collector-grade deco. Includes figure with 8 entertainment-inspired accessories including a graffiti spray tool and 2 blasters.

Available for preorder on August 10th.

While I'm not thrilled the first Sabine Hasbro announced ended up being a deluxe figure instead of a standard TVC figure or an unlock w/ the Ghost & an animated mural card... I've gotta say, Sabine looks great and I love everything they've included in the set. We're bound to see some double dipping here, and I'd assume she will almost certainly eventually come on a standard TVC card w/o the Loth cat, bag, & spray can. I'm excited to finally get her in the realistic 3.75" line. I hope we eventually get a long-haired version of her, or maybe one where she is riding the speeder bike from the trailer but I am in for now. This was one of the more exciting reveals for me yesterday, besides the Ghost itself.

I'm almost considering doing three now... I was pretty bummed to miss out on both the Crest & the Barge. It's now been about a year since the release of the Razor Crest and they are going for at least $800 on eBay, and $600+ for only the ship & the Barge is going for $2,000+. I think I'd want to do one set for myself, keep the figures carded from the second set, & then keep the third set MIP as an extra to sell/trade for a Barge/Crest in a few years. And if they end up rereleasing the figures I can just sell the whole second set as well.

Unless Fioloni decides to blow up the Ghost in Ahsoka (each of the other HasLab vehicles blew up on screen...  :-X ), I'm sure there will be people who skip it now but change their mind and want the Ghost when the Thrawn movie comes out in a few years.

I guess this is fine.  But it’s an $18 robe.

It kind of looks like a new headsculpt to me, but it could also just be the paint app. The right hand is definitely new. I wonder if they snuck in any other changes and plan on giving us a new ANH Chewie at some point?

If these figures really are released identically on Ahsoka cards, selling the Rebels ones will be an easy way recoup a lot of this cost… I bet about half.

I don’t know, it sounded int the panel like they said the tooling for the figures themselves was going to be entirely unique to the Ghost set, not just the cardbacks. But they’ve gone back on that kind of thing before.

We all knew it was coming, and I'll happily pick it up. It'll be nice to have an update to Motti & the ISB officer looks nice. That being said, like the last few sets, this set does sort of miss the mark for army building w/ two named officers. I do wonder if they will put out any alternate version, one with either some other named officers (Needa, Ozzel, Yularen, etc.) or a set of generic officers.

I'll grab one for sure, and maybe a second for customizing.

I have to say I am a little underwhelmed by most of the TVC stuff revealed or pipeline revealed.  Most of the *new* stuff is ripe for double-dipping (like Sabine being in a world building set and also probably on a single card).  Hard to get excited about Thrawn and 4 more Imp Officers even if we all knew this is exactly what was going to happen when we saw that new Imp Office buck on Piett/Jerjerrod.

Especially the pipeline stuff.  It 8 of those figures seems like they are potentially a repack, kitbash, or resculpt of something we already have.  :-\

Same. The Ghost offsets that for me a bit at least. I was really excited for Sabine, Thrawn, & Revan but the rest was underwhelming on the TVC front. I do like the Pre-Vizla, but he is just another kitbash.

The pipeline though... OOOFFF. The 4 Mando pipeline figures are all kind of duds. Finn, Cassian, the Phase I Clone, & Dooku are all kinda meh. I'll take all of them but none are particularly exciting. I would have much rather had NEW figures from Andor, the OT, Mando, Ahsoka, Jedi: Survivor, or KOTOR.

It was also surprising to not see product reveals for older pipeline figures like Krennic & missing out on the HK & Morgan Elsbet reveals.

Love we get a Phantom II.  Has anyone heard if Phantom 1 would fit as well if you want to interchange them?

It sounds like they cannot,  unfortunately. Someone asked that during the Q&A at the end of the panel.

I am really feeling like adding a second, I may wait a few weeks just to space out the cost. I'll probably end up just taking the figures from the second set and then selling off the Ghost itself.

You only get charged once the campaign ends.

Oh right, duh. I guess that doesn't really change anything for me though. Still thinking about adding another, but I will give it a few days to decide for sure.

OMG!  It's fantastic!  And $500 - $100 below a lot of the predictions!

I think I might back 2

It's already at almost 1,500 backers. I do wonder if this gets fully back quick enough if they'd consider adding a carded 'Rebels' Sabine & a carded 'Rebels' Chopper to the set. It'd be a bummer not to get those.

And... Backed.

It looks ******* great. I almost picked up a second to hold onto for a rainy day, but am going with 1 for now. $499.99 feels like a steal, I was expecting $599.99+

I wish the panel were being live-streamed somewhere.  :(

Thank you sir!

I do wonder if Bib Fatuna will ever find his way out as an individual release? I wanted to keep one carded but REALLY don't want to buy two Throne Rooms...

Every pack in figure for the last several years has.  I’d be completely shocked if this was any different.

I'd hope so, especially since he has so much new tooling. We know Hasbro will want to double-dip if possible.

Plus, according to YakFace it looks like they "accidentally" misnumbered BibFatuna as VC276, the same number already used for ARC Commander Colt. I'm sure some carded collectors will be very annoyed with that and want an update.

I'm also 95% sure to back the Ghost on day 1. Something would have to be very wrong with it for me to back out.
