Star Wars Anthology / Re: Rogue One (SPOILERS)
« on: April 6, 2018, 11:03 AM »
Thanks!

I've seen most of that before, but good refresher. I'm really interested to know what the initial cut/script looked like, considering Gilroy's severe assessment of it.

Release the Edwards cut!  ;)

Very frank from Gilroy... if his contributions were primarily to the characters/arcs, he absolutely missed the boat on Jyn. The first hour of that movie is the most clumsy in all of SW. The story keeps underlining the same beat, over and over, until the last 45 minutes... which might be the best in SW. Very curious to know more.

Found the Solo wave at Target last night. $20. Very cool. Han turned out much better than I expected.

The Ghost would be great, and maybe makes the most sense, if it shows up in future TV. I'd wager a updated Skiff will hit retail next year, to go along with the Barge. A re-release of the POTF mold is possible, but let's see something new.

Love all the ideas on the transport. Probably way down the list, but I'd buy it. The next SW HasLab will be TF next year, almost certainly, and it will be something massive like the DS or so left field no one will guess. But it's fun guessing.

I'd LOVE a Rebel Transport. Always loved that ship.

I think the next BIG thing will be a DS of some sort. There will be an incentive for Hasbro to try and 'outdo' the Barge, I suspect.

You know, Tessek remains one of my favorite figures from the line. They could do a much better job on him I'm sure, but if they didn't, I'd be set. Ishi Tib definitely needs one. Um... Pote Snitkin might be fun nowadays but again, I still like him.

Very cool to see it succeed so well, and congrats to Hasbro and collectors for making it happen. My cousin is getting one, so I'll fawn over his shoulder. Can't wait to see what they do next.

Those are AMAZING cards. The figures themselves are good. They seem very soft in detail in these pics, even for the retro look.

Just dropping in to say can't wait for the Mudtrooper figure.

I'm guessing the PR budget was separate from the Barge costs, but I also wonder - why not involve Mark and folks earlier? Great idea. He's perfect for it. Still sitting on this fence. Probably won't pull the trigger. Will definitely regret it.

Oh, Paul.

I guess he has to be responsible, because it was all our fault a week ago for it failing. Or something. I never know with that kid. He's really all over the shop. On everything. Ever.

Since it will pass 5100 here in the next five minutes or so (!!!) the sky apparently is the limit. Crazy. Honestly still debating myself. I feel like being in the game since 77, I kind of need to do this, but... I have NOWHERE for it to go. Doesn't seem to be stopping anyone else though. >.>

Congrats to everyone getting a barge (or two). That's awesome and great for the future of the program. Only question now is how high it goes. I'll say 7500, given the pace.

I wonder - I know I kind of shrugged off the conspiracy theories - but given some of the info others have found, could they be suppressing numbers to keep orders coming in? As in they're trickling out numbers per the algorithm.

No idea if that would be the reason, but... the pace is such right now it could get very close to funding today. It will tomorrow, for sure.
