I'd agree that the Luke values have dropped considerably.  One guy had to relist one at $39.99 about a week ago as it didn't sell.

I think I suggested and others as well that the Vader series was produced in incredibly high numbers and that chase figures are fairly abundant.  Patience is always the key (to a point).  I opted to get them out of the way and probably overpaid what I otherwise could have paid.

My guess is for many of the higher end pieces we're seeing two things: 1. speculators unloading stuff they see as losing value and 2. collectors getting out after the initial excitement has worn off.

Early, underproduced or limited items will retain value.  Later produced items will not retain the higher value.  Supply and demand.

I bid on and lost the carded Luke you linked earlier by a dollar.  I also lost on the carded R2, but $80+ is way more than I want to pay for something I plan on opening.  I keep hoping to stumble on a listed opener with a lower BIN :-\

I'm planning on getting the whole caboodle but not at the prices floatring around now.
I have picked up a few nice cheap pieces and plan to go on this way until i have the lot.

As much as i like these figs I am not going to break the bank picking up some little toys!

I am willing to wait. All good things and all that!!

I want to see a pic of the Kubrick wall!  ;D
Those cases are nice, glad to see you got some in. I have way to many to
buy them now, it`d cost me an arm and a leg and then some.

Hi all,

Have been lurking for ages and thought i should show my face, as it were!

Great listening to all you other brickheads and your addiction!!  I am not alone!!

Welcome to the Kubrick nuthouse, Kev!  Are you in the UK?  I noticed all the auctions you linked were UK based...

Nice to see the Luke Stormies dropping, since I refused to nab one at those high prices a couple months ago.  Hopefully the Vader chase will follow suit...

Then I still have to backtrack and get those damned VC Jawa and Logray chases.  :'(

I would be all over that auction, 'cept his shipping is outragously high.

Only auction I see recently was for the kub cubes.
Shipping seems about right to me for EMS for something that size.

Yep, EMS is fairly steep, seems like dealing with Canada Post.  But I can vouch that the sticker on the box matches what you pay for shipping.  No price padding happening there.
