Kubricks / Series 5

Hey, so what's the deal?  Are we getting Series 5 in a few days or a few weeks?  How can we find out?  Somebody needs to e-mail Ryo at Robby.

The weird thing is that I just scored a loose EB R2 for $25 BIN 4 days ago.  Guess I got lucky.

End of November?  That sucks!  Well, we ARE getting 14 new figures by the end of the year so we can't complain (that's if there are 3 Chases of course).  I feel a Jabba boxed set coming soon.  Is Robby shipping in late November or is the line being released in November?  What a bummout.   :-\

I like your Series 6 and 7 guesses but I think the Series 5 CHASES will be Luke, Yoda, and Snaggletooth.  Boushe is way too cool to gyp us with 1/48.  You never know with Medicom though.

So we all agree on Blue Snaggletooth for one of the Chases but do you guys think he'll be packed 4 or 3 to a case?  I can't imagine that unless Medicom considers him an army builder (which he's not).  Since this is one of the weaker series I'm guessing 3 Chases like Series 3.  Here are my guesses-

Luke Jedi 4/12- Chase- Holo Jedi Luke or Dagobah Luke (4/48)
Yoda- 3/12- Chase- Snake Variant (Brown and Orange) (3/48)
Snaggletooth- 2/12- Chase- Blue (1/48)
Death Star Gunner- 1/12
Leia Slave- 1/12
Admiral Ackbar- 1/12

How about we start a pool on guesses for Series 6?  Also, there aren't many more major characters left.  How many more Series do you think this will last?

Just to let everyone know, the guy I bought those Kubrick cases from IS refunding almost $20 in shipping.  He seems alright.

Great, and I just bought 20.  Just curious how much these cost when they were out before?  Mine ended up being around $4.50 a piece and I'm expecting at least a little refund in return.  I don't really need them either. One of those "just in case' things.

I just talked to the seller.  The shipping is ACTUAL shipping.  He said that was an estimate on the auction and he would refund any extra.  I just bought 20.  They're down to 45 so jump on it now!

Hello everyone,

If anyone is interested, I can add you to the mailing list for my Carded Kubricks.  Being on the list means first dibs on deals and a discount on all orders, including bulk deals if you own a store or just want to buy a few.  I've has some inquiries from JD list members so I thought I'd make it a public announcement.

Right now, I'm extending this deal to JD members and Carded Kubrick list members only.   As a promotion, I'm selling Jawas, Wickets, and IG-88s for $16 or all 3 for $45.  If you've been wondering about these but can't bring yourself to shell out the cash, this is a good opportunity to get one cheap.

As always, trades are welcome!

Thanks!

When you say "canyon" are you referring to the bottom of the bubble (how some of the older ones had a bump-like thing at the bottom)?  Yes

Should I put the colored cardboard inserts in the bubble to help reduce "shifting" of the figure? Yes

This all depends on what your goal is.  If you want to hang these on your wall then it doesn't really matter.  Use heavy paper.  It makes a big difference.

Not bad.  I think you should go for the vintage bubbles with the "canyon".  Footings make all the difference too.  You don't want your figs bouncing around in there.  Glue sticks work great!
