Another Tiki Con is scheduled for July 10-12 in downtown Cleveland. Here's the confirmed guests so far:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but The MAN! (Sorry, had to edit out the guest) will no longer be appearing at the show. 
He has been replaced by RAY PARK and DANIEL LOGAN.
I don't know the events surrounding this but I'll try and find out.
Tickets for Ray Park will be sold starting on Friday according to the website. I think he's going to get quite a few people. I don't think he's ever done a con in Ohio or PA.

The Steel City Con is moving to the Pittsburgh Indoor Sports Arena(PISA) starting in October. The show will double in size and now will be 3 days (M-F) instead of two. The show will also now be only twice( tentatively October and April) a year instead of three times a year. The first show at the new location will be October 24-26 2008. The new location is one exit away(exit 56) from Monroeville and will be a much larger venue. The new Pitsburgh mills mall is 3 miles away and there's also nearby local hotels and restaurants. The Arena is visable from the freeway and will allow more exhibitors and events that the Expomart could not. More info will be posted on the site www.steelcitycon.com when it's posted to the public.

Just some new news about the con. This will be the last time it will be held at the Monroeville Expo Mart since the building has been sold and will be converted into offices. What a shame. I loved being able to stay at the adjoining Radisson and walk through a hallway to get into the show each morning. The new location will be announced within the next couple of weeks from what I was told. The guest list for the July 26th-27th show can be found on the website:

I will still be doing this show and I hope to see most of the regulars back and also at the new location. I understand the new location will let the promoter do things that the expo mart couldn't.

Hey everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know a friend of mine is putting on a show in Niles OH(between Youngstown and Akron), and has Peter Mayhew and Jeremy Bulloch confirmed as guests. He was going to have Kenny Baker, but due to his recent health he's no longer allowed to drive or fly.
There's also a 66 Batman reunion(Adam West, Yvonne Craig and Julie Newmar) and much more. The official site is:

His name is Peter Smith and dealer tables are now available. The new star wars costuming group, The 327th Star Corps, is supposed to be making one of their first Ohio appearances here. The con is in October so this gives people plenty of notice if you want to take a weekend off. I'll be setting up there, and I'll have plenty of vintage and modern toys available. Bring your want lists! There's going to be around 250 dealer tables, artist alley, roleplay, replica automobiles like KITT and the Batmobile(and Batcopter) and a large area for gamers as well. Mid Ohio con moved their date to be closer to his show, but with a limited guest list and the same tired dealers, I don't think they're going to be any competition. :wink:

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is James and I'm new here but I'm the same ID on Scum and I'm a member of OSWCC and ebay for 7 years+. I'm primarilly a vintage snob LOL and focus on MISB and MOMC. I'm about 85% done with my US Kenner run, but I always seem to want to upgrade. I know Jesse James from the PA toyshows and he introduced me to this site, and my lazy a-- finally got signed up. I hope to get to know more of you in the future and talk shop.
