Star Wars Universe / Re: Star Wars on Blu-ray?
« on: April 20, 2010, 01:55 AM »
There is all sorts of great extras they COULD put in.  However, I wonder what will really end up being in it?I am hoping that the Luke/Biggs deleted scene would be on it as an extra.  I am kind of hoping to see the Ki-Adi-Mundi raid on the control ship deleted scene from Episode I but that might be asking for too much.  Anyway, this will get me to finally buy a blu-ray player.

I would not mind seeing U-3PO repainted as C-3PO.  Although it looks like that is basically it there in the press release photo.  But yeah, for now Endor C-3PO is fine.

I can't believe they don't release the VOTC one in greatest hits assortments all the time.  They ran the death out of that commtech chip version and abruptly stopped.  I would buy a few more VOTC versions for certain scenes.  Oh well.

Shadows of the Dark Side / Re: Jabba w/Oola
« on: April 9, 2010, 01:44 AM »
I think it would be a really lame pack if it's just Oola and Jabba with no dais.  I guess they could put in a carbboard dais but man that would truly piss off the majority.  They need to add the dais to make it worthwhile in my opinion.  If not then yet again vintage Jabba crushes the modern releases.

Totally agree.  A new one is needed badly.

I still really like the original (vintage) R2-D2 quite a bit.  I got a pretty decent 12 back.

I love the newer sculpt for Chewbacca.  My only problem is I have one helluva time getting the crossbow in his hand.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Your "Essential 100"
« on: March 26, 2010, 11:50 AM »
That would take too much time for me to sit down and really think about.  I would have to say just about each main outift of Luke, Han, Leia in the OT.  I know some are not the best sculpts but yet they would still be "essential" to my collection.  Maybe I could toss out Luke Bacta and Luke Medical Frigate.  I would have to keep from the prequels Anakin, Padme, and Kenobi from the Arena.  The most rescent versions that is.  Even though Jango Fett is purple I would have to keep him.  Fett of course from the VOTC or recent Evolutions.

I can't narrow it down.  Sorry!

I think they confirmed a Senate Duel Palpatine for ROTS as well.  I am the camp that is happy for a carded Wedge at retail finally.  I skipped on the exclusive one a few years back because of the price.  I just thought it was too much for what it was at the time.  I am really not that stoked for an Aura Sing but she definately needed an update to the POTJ version.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Funeral Pyre Vader w/ Luke
« on: March 11, 2010, 09:36 AM »
If they do make this I would assume they would update the Luke.  I would think they would probably put some sort of flame or some sort of discoloration on the Vader.  I can't remember the exact way Vader looks in this scene?  I think there is smoke coming from the helmet?  Maybe not.  Anyway, I would think they would do something unique with the Vader.  I am sure it would not be much and everyone would scoff at how lame it looks.  Like snow apps on a Hoth Chewbacca for example.  But I just doubt it will be a straight Vader from 2008 or whatever.

Yeah, if it is those 2 figures that they are showing in the picture then yeah that would be really lame.  I just think that picture is just to get an idea of what it would look like.  I am sure the pyre and fire is what we'll get but not the 2 figures themselves.  I hope not anyway.  LOL!

I can't customize worth a crap.  To be honest I would probably spring for this instead of collecting sticks.  For one thing I live in the desert in Arizona.  So, I can't get good sticks!  Cactus needles maybe.

I am mainly worried about the price.  Whenever they add sounds/phrases it seems to bump up the pricetag.  I might go around $30 for this thing but probably not more than that.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Comic Packs
« on: March 11, 2010, 09:24 AM »
Yeah, I agree Chewie.  I was just not really up for more army builder type characters in the comic packs.  I know why they do it.  There is obviously interest for those figures.  I guess it was a good slot for them.  I would have prefered actual characters we don't usually get like say a Guri, Big Gizz (I think that was his name?), Xizor, Ulic, Exar, Nomi Sunrider, The Rabbit Guy (can't remember that name) instead of more pilots/clonetroopers.  We get a steady diet of those in other aspects of the line.  Not that the pilots are not characters but it was obvious they were trying to tap into the army building mentality there.  I felt like we got enough with those from the Legacy 3 packs.   I hated it that they released Horn in a pilot outfit in the Droid Factory Wal-Mart.  It was just overkill in my opinion this year with all the pilots.  I know I will get ripped for saying that but that's just my feeling about it.  Again I know why they release pilots...it just got a little out of hand there.

Then again I go banannas for Luke Snowspeeder Pilot and would for Wedge, Dack, Zev, Janson, if they released those.  I was just hoping for the comic packs to get those more unique-looking characters.   I have to admit to I was pretty tired of Luke getting a nod in seemingly every wave of comic packs there for awhile.  Again I get why of course.  It's Luke.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Indiana Jones 5

I will be there to see it and endure all the "Indy 5" was pure crap comments afterwards.  Like someone said we will finally get that Toht figure and hopefully that entire wave and the TOD to  ;D

They probably did not anticipate people buying multiples of these like an army builder.  I have heard a lot of comments like the ones above "I got 16" "I got 8", etc and from other sites.   It turned out to be a really nice set.  It was easy to get it to.

I saw where Farrah Fawcett was not in the "in memoriam" or whatever that segment is called where they honore who died during the year.  Very off but yet Michael Jackson was?
