I noticed a poster on Yakface this morning finding this new Christmas themed droid. I know these boards are more Disney centric (and droid centric) than most. Wasn't sure if you folks have come across this guy yet?

Man, Disney finally figured out how to milk this exclusive droid thing.
This is what, the 4th carded droid this year? Plus the 4-pack box set that came out... Plus all the new BAD parts/hats they debuted at Celebration and SW Weekends...

The r4 d23 one? That one grew on me, didn't like the colors at first. This one is just fun. I must have it! Have any of you used the Disney Shop Parks app yet? I bought a Happabore a few weeks back and it came like 4 days later with free shipping. Aside from the droid 4 pack (which I stupidly bought individually on eBay for a minor fortune) and the holo r2, no sign of the Christmas droid yet.

The R4 one, from the August or Sept event... Silver with some markings on it. I got the blue R2-styled one from Phruby here, but that other one, yeesh.

This one really came out of left field. Love the colors... The D23 one doesn't seem to sell for outrageous on Ebay, ironically. I mean given the way it was obtained and all.

So far we have eight people. Four of those will be sent to Jeff to play Santa at the next MN meet.
Anyone besides Jeff need some build a droids made?

Just curious which location you shop for your droids when you get them? The reason I ask is that someone on one of the other forums mentioned these were not found at downtown Disney in Anaheim and seemed to conclude these may be in park only at this point. I just did t want you to waste a trip if this was the case, especially since you are doing us a huge favor grabbing one.

Disneyland and Downtown Disney are only fifty yards apart. No big deal going in the World of Disney store and then into the park.

Checked Disneyland, Launch Bay and DTD and no of them had the figure for sale yet. I will check again next week.
However, R2-D60 was back and for sale. No holo R2 or R4-D23 left overs.

As far as I know, Disneyland has never had the D23 droid or the Holographic one. The Holiday droid is apparently super hot right now. People are grabbing them up almost as fast as they are getting put on the shelf.

Maybe, but their isn't even shelf space for them. If there was, the cast members would keep it really stocked. If they know they have a product they will go get it out of the storeroom but since all the cast members I asked didn't know about it, I would assume it hasn't hit Disneyland yet. It might be at WDW. Disney theme park customer service is actually really good compared to retail. They will even hold packages and deliver then to the exit at the end of the day. I'm going again on friday.

For Disneyland, there is a rack near the Build A Droid station near the back of the store that has t-shirts that look like those ugly Holiday sweaters. That is where the R2-H15's are located. There are three pegs for them. Not all cast members are super knowledgeable about every piece of merchandise in that store so I totally believe they just didn't know they were there. and like I said, they sell out fast. But I was able to get two on Wednesday.

Thanks to captain Yoda I scored everyone's requests.
I picked the build a droids and 4 packs people requested and all the r2-h15. There are six left. Helps getting here at opening. Got my fastpass for hyperspace mountain. Just say two new stormtroopers talking to the crowds. Nice outfits. Lots of star wars music playing in the land.

Hey guys, in the future please don't spread the word that I'm doing this. I've had a few people with really low post counts want them. It's like they registered here just for this. I even had one guy that never posted here but wanted ten of them from me. I told him to pound sand.

I saw that over at the FISD forums when Anovos started giving a 10% off code when you purchased a Stormtrooper armor kit. People would register with the site just so they could beg for a coupon.

It must have looked impressive seeing that many r2 h15s next to one another. Making my guess now that they do reindeer antlers next year.

Nothing there yesterday morning. It looks like they have been replaced with R2-D60. No one seems to know if they are getting more. Hopefully I will see them again before the end of the year. I will keep up the hunt.
