Head over to the Private Universe they have some info on the Sandcrawler that you can buy it!!! I can't go there because of this Net nanney
or I would go there to find out for us!!!!
-
It says something about preorders for UK retailers :-[
-
Yeah, Private Universe is a European website. So that would be ordering info for Europeans.

Hopefully the info is accurate, and it's really coming out this time! I'll be happy to snag a couple, but I would be much happier if Hasbro actually revised the mold (last minute) and made it at least a little bigger than the old vintage one...
Think about it - this vehicle will eventually be used for thousands of "Purchase of the Droids" dioramas across the world. But when all is said and done, and Hasbro's pimped us the rest of the droids for that scene (R1-G4 is a good start), the droid lineup is going to unfortunately extend well beyond the limits of the Sandcrawler itself, which will look rather stupid. :-\
TPU is reporting that it's release date will be around the end of May, and it'll run about $65. Too much IMO, unless they go with a newer, larger sculpt instead of the one pictured there. God, I really hope they do!
If not, maybe Michael Fright will sell me his... :P
-
I doubt very much if Hasbro will revamp the crawler at the last minute (they usually save that idea to mess up the 12" line) though I would snap one of these up if they did. I am surprised at the suggested price point though, it is less than what I thought considering the size of the crawler and the price of the Imperial Shuttle (and it's comparable size) a few years back. I assume this will NOT be an exclusive so it will help all collectors have a shot at getting one at retail.
All in all, it's good news to hear about the pending release but a little disappointing on the "length" of it.
-
I will take it any way I can. If they choose to repaint the vintage version and take out the remote control stuff so be it. I'd love a bigger one like everyone else. However, there was mention on another site that this may retail for $65.00. They were under the impression that price was for the repainted vintage mold. If so, there is no way Hasbro would make a newer version. It would be around $100 probably if they did that. Or maybe it is a new version and it's only $65?
Either way I want it.
-
Well, the completist in me dictates that I must own. ::) On this though, I may just skip the opener one and keep it boxed. This is the first vehicle that I actually have a major dislike for. And that's coming from someone who finds the TIE's wings ok and that the AT-AT looks acceptable to-scale for its purposes.
I really, really don't like the scale of this though. Never did much like it even back in the day. It's the treads that are so out of whack with everything that it looks plain silly to my eyes.
I'd honestly pay the $100 if it could justify a significant or all new tooling.
-
Well, an underscaled Sandcrawler is better than no Sandcrawler at all, I suppose. :-\
But I definitely agree with the sentiment being expressed that this vehicle should've been at least a little bigger. I certainly would've paid a higher price point for an all new sculpt that's larger than this old vintage mold from 1978. Why the heck do they think passing off a 25+ year old toy with a suped up paint job is going to fly with modern day collectors?
Fortunately, a lot of Kenner's vintage molds were at least pretty decent, so they weren't too bad to use again to save some money, but come on - this Sandcrawler is just way too freaking tiny! Splurge a little Hasbro! We'll still buy it. I promise! Maybe even a few of them if you do it right. 8)
-
Looks like it is a "no-go" on the Sandcrawler for now. Hasbro has a brief Q and A update posted saying that Target has passed, and also answers a question about the VOTC line:
Hasbro Q and A Update (http://www.hasbro.com/starwars/pl/page.headlines/id.1027/dn/default.cfm)
-
I'm glad Hasbro is doing some honest Q&A updates. That's very helpful.
I wouldn't be too sad to see the Sandcrawler never come to light, at least in its current form. The vintage was dodgy in its day, and by today's standards it just is plain bad. Could Target have actually had the sense to realize this as well?
It is the first time without the [heavy sarcasm] Hasbro braintrust [/heavy sarcasm] to let the niave readers know how to read the sentence.
I figured the short bus had already left for the day to RS. :-*

Jared, I caught that short bus to RS earlier today but I'm back now. I'm also all better now. Keeping with my usual MO there, I posted this in the alarmist "like we have any say" Save-Our-Sandcrawler thread:
I'll be a little bummed if it doesn't get released, but it's beyond my control. I never had one of these growing up, but three of my older cousins did. When they went to college their mom's were cleaning out garages and basements and knew I was still into Star Wars, so they gave me a lot of swag. Most of it was trashed stuff, but I did get 3 Sandcrawlers from different aunts! Two of them still worked and were complete (except for one ramp). The other was still MISB - they had bought it for Christmas back in the 80's as stashed it away for the big day - then couldn't find it when they were wrapping all the gifts. She said they ran out and bought another so my cousin would have it for Christmas and planned to return the other one when it surfaced. Well, it wasn't found for a long time, and by then Target wouldn't take it back. You know how they are about returns/customer service. Score for me though!
So I guess I could really give a crap less about the Sandcrawler. I've already got three, not counting the one I got at the Thrift Store last year the kids use as a hamster cage.
All that fun and I didn't get any response. Funny.
-
Reading Hasbro's release this is my take:
The Sandcrawler IS dead period unless it is picked up this year. Next year we will not see it since Ep. III IS 2005. No retailer is going to pick up an orginial series item during a movie year. So if no retailer picks up the SC, this thing is not going to happen.
Look for mutiple case assortments with the OTC line. That means the newer figures will be harder to find while the repacks are going to be abudnant i.e. "to try and ensure that the MOST POPULAR figures are available . . . " Most popular is not collector most popular. So looks like I am going to save time and money come summer and fall since I am an opener and don't need repacks! Bring on the Unleash line!
-
I would definatley buy the sandcrwler!!!
-
So, according to yodasnews.com, the Sandcrawler is headed to Diamond.
I guess that means it will be available at Comic Shops and the like.
If I had to guess, it would probably end up as a shared exclusive to most on-line sites (like EE and NewForce) since they can order from Diamond, as well as ending up at Media Play/Suncoast like a lot of those Diamond Simpsons sets did...
I hope this pans out to be true. I always kinda wanted that Sandcrawler.
Jeff
-
I think Diamond is available through the Previews Comic Shop Catalog & if so... ;D
-
So who wants to take a stab at the retail price if it comes through Diamond distribution?
49.99 retail? :-X
Do you guys really think it would be worth that? For me, it's going to be a hard pill to swallow since I'm so down on the tooling of this thing. And I bought 2 Shuttles at full FAO PMITA* prices.
*Vague Office Space reference re: Federal Prison.
-
According to Mike over at GH.com, the intended price of the Sandcrawler has always been around $59.99, not the $30 that the other sites were reporting. He said that the $30 price was closer to the wholesale price.
With that Info, I'd agree that the price will run anywhere from $50 - $90 depending on the mark-up at your local Comic Book store.
The e-tailers that order from Diamond (NewForce and EE) will likely be able to charge in the lower range, but I'm not expecting anything under $60 from most places if the rumor stands and Diamond carries the 'crawler.
Jeff
-
I don't like how underscale it is, so I won't be picking this up - I don't think. I do want the droid, but, it's not enough to make me shell out any amount of money for that midget-crawler.
-
Does anyone else hate this vehicle? It looks like something out of "Honey, I shrunk the kids." It is WAY too small for the 3 3/4" scale. It is probably the worst scaled vehicle, with the AT AT hot on it's heels. The sandcrawler is MASSIVE in the movies, but this thing is like a micromachine by comparison. I think it looks awful and the mold is 20 years old.
PASS
EDIT: I see Brad's with me.
-
I know I can't stand it, and am miffed that, to get the silver SC Droid, I'm screwed into buying this POS for that one figure.
The only plus is that it'll make a nice set-piece for a MIniature's Battles set-up... maybe even re-enact the taking of the Sandcrawler while searching for the droids, but beyond that this is a horrible toy IMO.
It's, of course, unreasonable to expect a to-scale Crawler, but wouldn't a newly tooled item that "unfolded" to have a Sandcrawler Interior, and multiple droid parts to build "new" droids with (Similar to the Droid Factory playset from vintage), and fold up to a somewhat larger crawler... That to me would've been worth sinking some $ into. It'd give some incentive to buy it beyond a repainted (but arguably new) figure at least. :(
Gimme a cloud car first. It's better overall to me.
-

Thats if we will ever see one. Interesting topic over at GH.

Well, GH reported a couple days ago that Diamond Comics Distributors indeed picked up the Sandcrawler as their exclusive. So we can expect to be able to pick this up from various online shops and direct market. Bummer that it had to come to this, since I'd prefer to just find it in a store, but if this is what had to be done to bring it to the market, then so be it. Obviously I'd still prefer something more decently scaled, but what the hell are you gonna do...?
I just wonder how much they're gonna jack the prices up over the estimated $30 that Target was supposedly going to charge... Hopefully not too much, 'cause I'd like to get at least a couple of them. :-\ Better not be window boxed either!
$h!t. GH is also reporting Diamond's SRLP is $60, but that could vary depending on the retail outlet... :'(
-
Just saw this over at RS.
Sandcrawler Saved! (http://www.rebelscum.com/article.asp?i=47518)
Diamond Saves Sandcrawler! (http://action-figure.com/Article11791.html)
Sandcrawler Wwth Jawas & RA-7 Exclusive (http://www.killertoys.com/prod_display.php?prod_id=1661&search_var=sandcrawler)
Sandcrawler measures 11" tall & 18" long. Retail $61.95.
-
This will be the first Exclusive OT Vehicle with figure I'll be passing on, until I can trade for one or the price comes down $30...no way am I paying that much for 2 figures I already have and 1 that I have a pretty damn nice custom of
-
Yeah, that $62 price is utterly ridiculous! This thing is not even close to an Imperial Shuttle, AT-AT, or even Millenium Falcon. ::)
I was willing to go up to the $40 - $50 range if I absolutely had to, but they definitely went overboard in abusing the collectors on this piece I think.
But keep in mind, that's just the price from that one particular e-tailer, and other e-tailer's prices may vary. Hopefully we'll be seeing this drop down to at most $50. It better not be in a damned window box either, though judging by the other OTC vehicles, it probably will be, especially since it's got 3 figures to show off in it... :-\
Damn.
-
I'm not thrilled about the price, but there is a thing called "PERSPECTIVE". Perspective tells me that while $60 is in the high end pricewise in the modern era of Star Wars toys, it's not that bad. Why? A vintage Sandcrawler, loose, will cost anywhere from $150 to nearly $300 depending on whether or not it's complete and what kind of condition it's in. Bearing that in mind, $60 is a bargain to me.
-
Hmmm I dunno...
Perspective or not, $60's pretty outrageous for something being produced now with no tooling costs. I'll wait for it to come down in price and, if nothing else, get it later than everyone else.
It's just not that good to me in the first place... I was going to justify it by using it as a set piece for SW Minis battles games since it'd make a possible objective or something, but beyond that the RA-7 was my only desire from it.
I just can't compare it with the vintage toy... It'd never replace it to me. There you're getting something they're not making right now and which has real nostalgia. But here with the modern crawler it's just a watered down, dirtied up version of the original...
That RA-7 is neat though, I like it. :)
I'd like to see what Hasbro's MSRP was in ink on this beyond what the actual charge is. I recall multiple people contradicting me (at the time) that the Shuttle was selling for its legitimate MSRP and that it was as low as Hasbro could get it... Then we found out that wasn't so much the case.
Diamond's never been exactly cheap with their exclusives, and old SW exclusives sold for higher than their MSRP so I'm wagering it's spiked for the Crawler as well.
I think $50's even too much for this though... It's not that big a vehicle even.
-
$60 is pretty steep.
If I buy it or not depends on when it's released. If I have the disposable fundage at the time, I might go for it. But if it shows after October, I might have to wait a few months.
-
This is absolutely hilarious. $60 (minimum) for a vehicle that is horrendously out of scale, comes with two figures (Jawas) that sell for about five dollars tops on the secondary market (and soon to be primary market, since they're part of the OTC recard disaster-in-the-making) and another figure that, given Hasbro's track record with packins in the past, will probably be really poorly painted? I think I'll pass.
Let's not forget too that $60 is Diamond's price. When it gets to comic and hobby shops, it will probably increase by a few dollars as well so they can make a profit on the item beyond what Diamond charges them to order it.
I'm thinking that this would have been 40 dollars at most if it went to Target. I could be wrong, but given the size and the use of an old mold, I just can't see how they can justify 60 bucks for that...thing.
-
Well, it was a nice dream anyways. There's no way I can part with $60 for this, as much as I've wanted one. I doubt very many will either.

Actually, $60 is suggested retail. Meaning that Diamond dealers will be getting this at wholesale. Their cost could be anywhere from $30 to $40. I get discounts on Gentle Giant things all the time from my local comic shop around 10%. I should be able to get the Sandcrawler from my guy for $50 - $55. Check with your own local comic shop. No doubt, this will be listed in the new issue of Diamond's Prviews magazine soon, and your local shop will be able to order it for you. That's what I'll be doing.
-
Yeah,
I plan on checking out the price at my local comic shop.
If they can get me the 'crawler at the normal previews discount they offer (15%) and the price comes down to $45-50 or so, I'll gladly order one.
After all, I'll have some extra cash in the SW Slush Fund from all those OTC repacks, TRU repacks, and DVD packs that I won't be buying... :P
Jeff
-
The price is a little disappointing to me too. I was hoping to pick up this vehicle when we first heard of it being a Target exclusive, and I never had the vintage one and thought it would be a nice piece to add to the collection (even if a bit underscaled). However, I'm another one that doesn't know if I can part with $60 for this...probably depends on the funds at the time too. I'd like to have one, but not sure if I would feel comfortable paying that price for it.
-
I am very happy we are finally getting this. The price is a little high but I will bite the bullet. This is the one vintage vehicle I want but don't have. This will make me happy enough so I don thave to dish out the cash for a vintage one.
-
That price is definitely disappointing. I was expecting to be able to pick this up at Target for about $30. Not sure what I'm going to do now, but now that I just got engaged and there's two of us making the decisions, I'm not sure spending that kind of frivolous money is going to fly with my lady. Bummer, since I've wanted the Sandcrawler ever since I was a little kid. Guess I'll have to figure out something.

That's a fine scaled Sandcrawler... for Micro-Machines sized figures! All sarcasm aside, I'll pass. Congrats to those who got what they wanted however.
-
Just thought I'd let everyone know (unless this has been mentioned elsewhere; I have yet to see it on any other site) that the Sandcrawler is now up for preorder at StarWarsShop.com for $59.99, expected delivery in November of this year.
Jawa Sandcrawler (http://shop.starwars.com/Product/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=321)
So now I get to be a partial hypocrite: I'm going to go ahead and preorder it, even after I said I wasn't going to buy it in the first place. Why? The fifty dollar GC I got from SSW.com a few months back that I never ended up using. I figure I'll end up paying about 25 bucks for the Sandcrawler which is about what I think it's worth at most, so it seems like a good deal to me. Especially considering I'm too poor to pay the prices for anything else on the site and this is the first thing I've seen that I would be interested in getting from them.
-

Same size as the vintage one. :D

Thanks for the reminder! I had forgotten about that Gift Certificate. I still had mine left to use too, so I dug it out of the checkbook and redeemed it when I pre-ordered my Sandcrawler at StarWarsShop.com today.
The total with shipping came to $17.94 :o
I was pretty sure that my local comic shop couldn't beat that price, so I decided to pull the trigger on the SWS.com pre-order. Now we wait until November to see if it ever gets released...
Jeff
-
That is great for those of you who had that GC saved and ready to use. Definitely easier to stomach the price for $20ish instead of $60. I'm still debating on this one, I really wouldn't mind adding it to the collection, even if it is underscaled. A vehicle I never had as a kid (or adult), and a classic from the OT, so it would be neat to have. At least its getting released....finally. :)
-
I'm hearing now that NewForceComics.com will put the Sandcrawler up for pre-order soon... only $49.99 plus shipping.
Not too shabby for those that still need one and are willing to check it out.
Jeff
-
Thanks Jeff! That's getting slightly more "stomach-able"... Might pre-order one from them, and keep an eye out for even better deals later on to hopefully snag an extra.

$39.95 plus shipping at this little AZ comic/collectibles shop. I have NO idea if these guys are reliable, I'm just passing on the info for those that are still on the fence on this one.
Strange how the first pre-orders were at $60, then a bunch of places posted it at $50, now we're seeing $40 prices. I wonder how much it will drop before it's all said and done?

I waited it out and then pre-ordered it from here. It is funny how it dropped off in price but I jumped all over $39.99. Don't see it getting much lower until after it's release.

Looks like a valid re-paint/rehash of the DS Droid to me.
Too bad we couldn't get another Droid (R5-D4) and the CT Jawa along with him instead of the Jawa 2-pack.

This too is the cheapest place I could find for the Sandcrawler. Has anyone ordered from them below, are they reliable or what? I'd like to get a Sandcrawler, but I'd like to do it on the cheap after getting burned with the Imperial Shuttle.
-
Just curious who here is planning on ordering/pre-ordering the Sandcrawler (or maybe already have)? Which place are you going with to purchase it? I'd kind of like to get one, although it is usually more than I like to spend on one item. But, I never had one as a kid, and it looks pretty cool (although undersized). Anyways, who here is picking one (or more) up, and where are you planning on ordering it through?

Now IN-STOCK at Entertainment Earth (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS26795)!
Shouldn't be much longer for the rest of the stores to get them either...

-
I want the DS Droid bad, but I just have a hell of a time justifying that price for the figure. :(
The crawler itself is to-scale with minis just abouts, so it'd be set-dressing for a table-top game, but I just don't wanna blow $40 on a figure since it's really all I want... Oh the dilemma's.
-
Well I just plunked down $19 for a EU Blue Snaggletooth, call me stupider than you and buy it!
-
I can't... Even if you are. :)
hehe j/k of course.
I dunno... I've debated buying the Cantina set too actually... Haven't seen it to be thrust into the decision though... With the crawler I'm thinking it may be there a while for me to think about.
-
So will our local comic and gaming stores be carrying these, since their a Diamonds exclusive? I may risk it and see if I can swing one from them for a reasonable price, with no shipping charges.
Or are these just going to be available through e-tailers? Either way, I want one, despite the inflated price. One of the few vehicles I never got as a kid, so it's time to get my due finally! Hoping the droid comes out nice looking. Looks good in the pictures so far. Can't wait! But my wallet sure can.
-
My Sandcrawler should be here by Thursday night, looking forward to this vehicle. :)
-
Picked these up last night. ;D

Oooh, pretty. ;D
-
Oooh, pretty. ;D
Indeed! ;D :-*
-
Do they all have that "Previews Exclusive" sticker on them, even here in the U.S.? Yuck. I hope not!
Has anyone opened one up yet and checked it out? Worth $50 or $60? I'm thinking more like $40 myself, but since I never had one of these as a kid, I'm looking forward to it, regardless of price. Much like the Shuttle a couple years ago.
-

I cracked mine open just a few moments ago. I've been entirely negative on this thing from the get-go and I'm still not impressed.
On the positive side, the packaging rocks, and once you rip it out of the box the paint job is great. Really detailed and dirty. If you set the vehicle out by itself with nothing else for scale comparison, it looks perfect.
BUT. But, but, but. Pick it up, and you instantly notice how light it is, and applying a fractional amount of pressure to any of the panels reveals how flimsy it is. Flick it, and it sounds hollow, like if you tapped the side of a $1 plastic beach bucket. The treads are static. The droid tube is held in by a tension tab, that, when pressed, makes the tube drop out the bottom of the crawler... onto the floor.
It's pretty to look at but is a miserable toy. Flimsy build quality and no play features. And, as I've always said, it's scale is so far out of whack with the regular 3-3/4" line and figures it's a real misfit.
The figures are... bleh. The Jawas, well the new OTC paintjob smokes these guys, but whatever, they're cool. The RA-7 looks like its made out of that same iffy gold plastic that the Deluxe 3PO used. I dig that it's a smart repaint but he's not really top quality either.
So, worth 50 or 60 bucks? Not a chance. 29.99? Maybe.
I still think this thing sucks. But considering we'd never see a retooled and improved one, its going to have to do, whether I like it or not.

I pre-ordered mine through StarWarsShop.com using the $50 Gift Certificate from the March fiasco.
The total with shipping came to $17.94 ;)
I was pretty sure that my local comic shop couldn't beat that price, so I decided to pull the trigger on the SWS.com pre-order. Now we wait until November to see if it ever gets released... and if I ever get it from them since their track record is so great. ::)
I got my shipping notice today! ;D
I hope this works out OK. Given SWShop.com's spotty track record, I was a bit worried. I got a great deal on the sandcrawler this way and I probably wouldn't have picked one up if not for the GC I had from the initial order fiasco...

Just hope they pack it good & it arrives in tip top shape.

I got my shipping notification from SWS.com last night as well, although the FedEx tracking number still isn't showing up in the system (I figure that might take a few days to happen). Thankfully I had the $50.00 GC from the initial fiasco, so the Sandcrawler cost me a grand total of $17.94, which is about what it looks like it's worth. ;D

I started passing a while ago on crap Exclusives like this and the fact that my RA-7 Custom looks superior to the new pack-in made this one a no-brainer. My experience on getting burned on the Shuttle soured me on Remade Vintage Exclusives...retooled vehicles though I may still pick up
-
Been a few days so I need to crap on the Sandcrawler again. I like this vehicle more than the Sandcrawler:

I gotta agree this was a waste of my money. POS in my opinon. The plastic sucks, and has anyone been able to lower the side so that it actually touches the ground? Would of rather had a Cloud Car rehashed :(
-
I've really been going back and forth on whether or not to pick this piece up, because I usually like to get all of the OT vehicles, but after reading many of your thoughts on it, I think I might pass. It would have been a chunk of money, collecting-wise, for me to spend anyways, and it just doesn't sound like many people think it is worth it. I guess it would be cheaper than picking up a vintage version, but otherwise it doesn't sound like it is anything spectacular.

Got my Sandcrawler from FedEx today!
It seems as beauty is once again in the eye of the beholder... and as one who was lucky enough to be-holding a $50 GC from SWShop.com, I like my Sandcrawler. If this thing was $60, I'd be mad, but for my price of $18 I'm very happy with what I got.
The moral of the story? If you're on the fence about this one, I'd say hold on until they hit clearance. You'll like this vehicle a heck of a lot more for $40 or $30 than the $60 price tag.

Yep, the main reason I want this piece is because I missed it when I was a wee lad. It's one of those things that has bugged me ever since. I don't love the vehicle enough to get it for its secondary market price. So, now they have a repainted one I'll get it. Plus, Hasbro will never ever make a new one to scale. Especially since no retailer was interested in the current version.
I found out I'm getting this for X-mas. However, I would have plunked down the $50 for it myself. Not happily of course, but at least it's something I can cross off my "I always wanted that but never got it" list. It's ok enough for me to be displayed. It's not like that scene is my fav in the film. So, this repaint will "do" for me.

Here's a plea...
To any of you who possibly picked up an extra Sandcrawler (for whatever reason), if you'd like to recoop some cost, I'd like an RA-7 pack-in droid from one.
Anyone able to help me out that maybe got an extra perhaps? Just IM me here or something.

Well, based on DL's delay in getting in the purportedly cheap Sandcrawlers, I finally caved in today and bought one of these atrocities, since it was $10 off the usual $60 price. I actually ran across one at Tower Records of all places, for "just" $49.99, so I bit the proverbial bullet on this atrocity. ::) Pretty surprised at the "reasonable" Sandcrawler price there...
The thing still sucks monkey nuts though. ::)
-
Found one on ebay "buy it now" for $41.95 plus $11.99 s&h - probably the best deal I thought I'd see for a while on it. Had the wifey buy it for me as a Christmas present. I know it could have been a lot better, but the paint job on it does look very nice.
:P

Since this vehicle is window boxed, I needed two (one to keep MIMSB). So today, I once again caved, and bought a second one across the street at Tower again, for $49.99. Ugh. Figured I should nab that last OTC item I still needed, so I could polish that line off and focus on ROTS now.
I hate myself. >:(
-
Do you do loose and
carded boxed for vehicles too? Yoiks, that must add up in a hurry.
I don't suppose they had any left? I still need one - I've never actually seen it at any of the collectibles shops I frequent. :-[
Don't hate yourself Matt - your obsession is what ensures that these long wanted vehicles actually get made. (even if it does suck monkey nuts... ;))
-
I usually try to keep an extra one in mint package only if it's in the nice window boxes. No window box (ala the Shuttle), only one needed - unless I'm army building with it.
They still had two left, but I probably can't head back over there 'til Monday now. Did you want one for $54.11, J2? LMK, and if so, I'll hold the Holo Yoda shipment and do them altogether.
The last couple had a few nicks on the boxes. Nothing all that bad though...
-
Oh man, two...
You are obsessive. :) Even with a new figure I couldn't bring myself to plunk that $$$ down on ONE of those things. Every time I see the one that still sits at Suncoast here, I just roll my eyes. That was one of the worse things Hasbro gouged everyone on.
-
Did I luck out... My wife was in Calgary and found a Sandcrawler at a collectibles shop (Chinook and Hobby West for you Canucks, you know who you are). The price? $30 CDN, or about $24 US. Last one on the shelf.
Have I even mentioned how much I love my wifey? :P

Colman's head is about to explode...
-
Argh. Lucky bastard. But at least you got one, and for cheap. I assume that means you no longer need one of the $50 ones still sitting at Tower Records by my office then, right? :P
-
The the good old Chinook Hobby Sandcrawler blowout sale. They had quite a few at Shane's toy show and at the toy/cd show when we were in Indy, can't beat $30. for one.

Jared, hurry up and buy that new camera so that you can post a high resolution picture of that!
;D
