From the gang at Rebelscum (http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/Whats_Next_For_The_Clone_Wars_127029.asp):
- CW42: Anakin Skywalker (Snow Gear)
- CW43: Thi-Sen (Talz)
- CW44: Clone Commander Stone
- CW45: Darth Sidious
- CW46: Commander TX-20 (Tactical Droid)
Carded pics all have the "Nahdar Vebb" mail-away sticker on them...

Another fantastic wave. Hopefully the Orto Plutonia Obi-Wan and Rex aren't too far behind.
-
Man those are Sa-weet! :)

Man those are Sa-weet! :)
I wonder if we'll get a "hood up" version of Anakin someday >:D
-
Awesome, I was just about to post this but you guys are all over it!
I don't know, I wasn't blown away right off the bat by anyone in this Wave, although Thi-Sen is pretty sweet. Sidious looks downright comical, like the hideous offspring of Palpatine and Monty Burns.
And somehow I feel like they didn't get the Tactical Droid right, but my recollection may be distorted. I have been looking forward to that release though.
What I do LOVE is 17 consecutive new figures with nary a re-pack among them anywhere!

Couldn't Thire or Jek be considered repacks since both were issued in the Walmart 2-Packs first? :P ;)

Touche' :-*
Yeah, technically I guess both would be re-packs of previously non-individually carded figures. For some reason I was thinking Thire was slightly differentiated, but I have no evidence to support that thought.
It actually raises a slight ethical dilemma - do I really need these? I normally eschew the straight re-packs but these 2 would have a somewhat unique appeal. Hmmm.

Whoooo put me down for a handful of Talz, I consider those good enough to mix in with the regular basic line, they don't look all too cartoonish to me.

-
I am stoked they are doing the Talz. Kudos to them. This is a great wave of figures - I really like the head sculpt on Sidious, the rest of him not so much. A hood up Anakin is inevitable. Obi and the Snow Clones have to be around the corner.

I completely agree on this, and will buy a handful myself.
-
I too will be picking up 5 - 6 more of these to customize for a small Talz colony from the Trespass episode.
-
I'd post a picture but I'm laughing too hard...did you see Snow gear Ani's teeny-tiny itsy-bitsy head?

I don't think it looks too bad, he is wearing a big ass parka after all.
-
I actually thought everything but the head looked normal and might even be a good base for an accurate realistic Anakin in the same duds. So far though the Talz and Tactical Droid are my only purchases.
-
I'm shocked Sidious is in this wave! And I LOVE it! :D Firstly, he's always featured as a hologram! But I love how Hasbro's dishing him out in his physical form! Man, oh man, great figure! Can't wait to pose him next to Dooku and Ventress!
And who's Commander Stone? I'm a meh with this guy ... just another clone. And like the commando droid. And, oh, I guess Annie's cool too - wish he had an alternate head.
-
Excuse me for being stupid, but what's the removable battle club on this guy - the one he's holding in his hand? I don't remember the episode all to well...and here I thought I'd be able to stay away from many of the animated figs. Don't want to fall down this hole personally. :-\
-
Don't want to fall down this hole personally. :-\
Heh heh, I said they same thing when I bought Rumsleg. :) Luckily, I was able to resist the Legacy lure...
Cross over to our side! You know you want to do it!
-
I'm REALLY digging that Talz, and I'm amazed they're making him. TX-20 and Sidious look pretty neat, too. I definitely want at least one of each figure from this wave, which is pretty monumental since I almost never buy full waves. :o
-
I really like this wave as well. I've been hoping for figures from the Trespass episode, one of my favorites from Season 1. Like others have mentioned, I really hope Obi-Wan and Rex are around the corner as well. The only problem I see with a figure like the Anakin, is the ability to actually sit in the recently released Freeco speeder - but we'll probably get a slightly tweaked one released with that vehicle again down the road. Nice wave overall, and I like that they are sticking to the manageable size of 4-5 new figures per wave. The Sidious was a bit of a surprise, but the whole wave is pretty spiffy.
-
The loose photo shows that the lower portion of the coat is slit up the side. Obviously not the most esthetically pleasing design functionality wise, but hopefully the plastic is soft enough as to not be a hinderance in piloting the speeder.
-
I really hope Obi-Wan and Rex are around the corner as well.
In the last Q&A at 16bit, Hasbro confirmed this Anakin and a Snowbi-Wan would "find their way into the 2010 CW basic figure lineup." With Anakin shown and Obi-Wan confirmed, I'd say there is a plenty good chance they will get to Rex eventually too.
Excuse me for being stupid, but what's the removable battle club on this guy - the one he's holding in his hand?
That's his removable battle club. ;D
-
Meh, all are a pass for me except: CW46: Commander TX-20 (Tactical Droid)
I think that one will look good enough next to realistic droids to fit in.
Man, this line is saving me oodles of scratch!
-
Yeah, Thi-sen kicks all sort of booty. That will proably be my favorite Clone Wars figure for awhile. I wish Anakin had his hood up. The pinhead just looks goofy to me. I like that they attempted to make Sidious. I just don't care for how it turned out. Mainly the lower body. The clonetrooper is nice but I doubt I'll get it. I am glad they made the Tactical Droid. I don't really care for the lower body but I mainly just remember upper body shots from the cartoon. Anyway, I think it's a nice wave. Hopefully Kenobi turns out better than Anakin did. I think Rex will come out sometime after the Legacy Snowtrooper Concept figure has had it's run at the retail stores. They look practically the same.
-
Glad to see Darth Sidious finally making his way into the CW lineup. That was long overdue.
-
Some new pics of this wave (and Sport Skiff Ani) tonight...

Clicky to check 'em out!
I like the Talz, and the Commander Droid, and plan to buy those. I'm considering an Anakin to custom into a realistic cold weather Ani at some point too but I'm not sure on that one. The body looks good though. Figuring out a hat's going to be the rougher part there. This may be the first time I bought multiple CW figures from one wave though.
-
Yeah, this wave looks reallly solid, despite Ani's pea-head. It will be nice to buy an entire wave of all new sculpts. I like clones, but...jeez...
-
How vintage is that Anakin head? Funny. This is a great wave. Like them all.
-

Seriously, I wonder how something like that makes it to production. Apparently several individuals looked at the prototype and thought it was good.
Keeping an alcohol-free workplace can be a challenge.
-
To me that Sidious fig is what makes the CW line such a good complinment line to Legacy.
-
These latest pics look even better than the first batch. (Why does a strategy droid need a pistol though?)
I just wish it wasn't going to be 3 more months before we see these in stores...
-
Sidious looks great! I wonder if the hood can be removed to reveal Palpatine's head ;)

Now (in Tony the Tiger's voice) that would be GREAT!
-
BBTS has these in stock now apparently...I believe Brian's Toys as well.
How much longer for the brick and mortars?
-
Entertaninment Earth got 'em too. I got mine just a few minutes ago, they're pretty fantastic. Thi-Sen is the big winner here. Aayla from Wave 12 is also quite impressive.
Most surprising, though, is that Commander Stone is a new sculpt-- it has the "fixed" elbow armor, a new torso with only swivel waist movement, and the wrists are also swivel-only.

WHAT DID THEY DO TO HIS WRISTS?! Why would Hasbro go out of the way to resculpt a clone trooper when there's one solid sculpt out there?! WHY?! - and they took off the super-super articulated wrists! :o I hope they didn't do this resculpt just for the correct elbow armor - I personally wouldn't have cared if Hasbro didn't correct that one tiny detail. Besides, the kids wouldn't care!
-
I got my shipment of this wave yesterday and to echo what Adam said, Thi-sen rocks! I'll probably try to get 4-5 more of him to use as standard warriors.
I've only opened Anakin (http://www.yakface.com/TGuide2004/html/TCW/basicfigures/CW42.html) so far, and despite his microcephaly, he's a solid figure and, after some contorting, can pilot a freeco speeder.
I'll probably send off for my fishy jedi today.
-
I found remnants of this wave last night at Walmart. I picked up Thi-Sen, Snow Ops Anakin, and the Tactical Droid. No sign of Stone or Sidious and I scoured every square inch of that aisle. >:(
I kinda like that though. Now I have something else to obsess over til I complete the wave. Plan on hitting every other Walmart locally today/tonight to close these guys out.
But seriously, who would pass on the Talz? He is completely awesome!
-
I just wish it wasn't going to be 3 more months before we see these in stores...
Looks like you got your wish! HEre I Was thinking I was caught up on CW after scoring the Aayla wave yesterday. ::)
Nice photos of Anakin Jay - good to see that he can fit in the Freeco.
-
I'm kinda pleased by how Hasbro approached the Sidious hood issue. I would have been displeased if the hood was removable, because then it would have taken from the mystery of Sidious' character. And a 1-piece hood/head would have been cheap. I'm glad Hasbro glued down the hood, because it retains the mystery as to who Sidious really is.
-
Pretty happy with Stone as I've been getting burnt out on all the clones (again with this hobby) but I think he's a pretty swell repaint and the colors look great on him. Must have missed this episode, but I dig the tat he has on his temple and on the back of his head. Passed on Anakin, and haven't had a chance to crack open the others from this wave but the other three look great.
-
I want to drown in a sea of Talz warriors.
-
I picked up Thi-Sen last night. What an awesome figure! It was all I could do not to buy the other two hanging on the peg behind him, I actually walked round the shop holding them for a while until I regrettably put them back. At £8.99 a pop here, I'm going to have to pick them up one at a time over the coming months.
Still, it looks like I know what I'm buying until the vintage line rocks up.
-
So, considering this wave never really hit retail as it should have, is it unreasonable to think it might hit some discount stores in the near future? I just can't see these hitting now that there's a new card style out there.
-
I hope so...I still need a Magnaguard for openers.
Hasbro did mention recently not to expect these waves anymore at retail since they have stopped shipping outright.
I did find a couple of cases of the Hondo/Aayla wave at TRU recently, so there must be some product out there still though.
-
I find it annoying how Hasbro loves to try to prove collectors wrong on certain points when it is Hasbro that is wrong - like, in the most recent Q/A, when someone asked if the last few waves of TCW 2010 were made in fewer numbers, Hasbro said that NO, they were NOT made in fewer numbers, and that shipping of the TCW figures would cease. That's just outright ridiculous and unacceptable - we have months of proof showing that these figures barely hit retail.
-
The issue seems to be on retail's end, if Hasbro did make these in equal numbers to previous waves. Maybe the line has cooled off - not really around here - and retailers turned their nose up at these last few waves. I expect them to show up in bulk somewhere.
-
Anyone finding Thi-Sen? I am not buying the CW figures but he is one i happen to want.
-
Same here, but never saw him. WM got that wave in, a lot, but Thi-Sen was always gone... :-\ Lots of the wave at TRU too, same basically though... No THi-Sen.
The $4.99/$4.50 prices really moved that guy it seemed.
