Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Hasbro saying that sales of the Legacy line were below expectations?  Yet the response for the mail in item for the line was above expectations.  Interesting.

One of the two Walmarts I stopped at this am had fairly fully stocked pegs of figures, with flags marking them at $6 each.  Might be worth your time to stop in.

I have like two pages left in the Med-Star duology.  Next is Deathtroopers.  I've managed to create quite the to-do list of books lately...

The volume of stolen merchandise from Walmart.  Everytime I'm there I find a completely empty package of one type or another.  I'm frustrated that people steal the stuff in the first place, but also that Walmart does nothing to motivate their staff to do anything about it.  You bring it to their attention and they just put the stuff back on the shelf.

Also people who plow/snowblow/shovel their driveway out into the street instead of their lawn.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: Hasbro Questions

Hasbro: in an earlier Q&A you said that there had been plans to have a Padme Mighty Mugg and an unreleased Ahsoka shows up on the box of the last wave released.  Can you say which characters were in the first cancelled wave (ie., would have been released next if the line had continued)?

- jedi academy six pack.

Aren't there only 5 figures in this set?   ???

One of the Padawans has a split personality.

"Hasbro was hoping you wouldn't notice" would also have been an acceptable answer.

Isn't this set an exclusive to the Disney parks?  If you've been to any of the parks lately and seen the stuff that sells, to Parents and kids, you'd probably be shocked.  I get that we're all collectors here, but this set isn't aimed at us.  This is aimed at the folks who are slightly sunburned, have been eating soft-pretzels and ice-cream all day and are tired of Johnny asking if he can get "this" everytime they go by a souvenir stand.

Second, the punch-hole. If a figure you want is in the very back of the pegs, you have to take EVERYTHING off the pegs to get to it.

Please, someone who was at Toy-Fare, does Hasbro plan to have stick-on J-hooks or something?  I think the very feature Diddly is talking about is going to a huge problem for collectors at retail.  I'm not too worried about having to take 7 figures of the peg to get the 8th (ok, stop laughing now, I know its mythical to see 8 new figures at retail...).  What I am worried about is what is going to happen to the cards every time they are taken on and off the pegs.  Add to that the shoppers who will just tear the figure off the peg, and then won't buy the figure, so they'll end up in a pile at the bottom of the pegs.

I'm almost exclusively an opener, so I'm not too worried about the shape of the card, but there might be a few of these Vintage ones I keep carded.  Which seems to be a fairly common sentiment, if I'm reading the mood of JD right.  I have the distinct impression that come November there are going to be a lot of complaints from people who will be posting some variation of "I saw _____ at retail, only thing was the card was ripped off the peg, I'm still holding out for a card in good shape/not mangled."

Hopefully Hasbro will use plastic sticker style hooks that will come off the card cleanly or a similar solution.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Walmart Legacy Collection AT-ST

I picked up one last night "clearanced" for $35.   :P   Very excited about getting this though.  My collection is largely figures and LEGO, so this fella will definitely stand out.

Question:  The Wally I got this at had about 6-7 on the shelf and it seemed most had had the chin guns fall off.  Was this due to 'Johnny' shaking the box because Mommy wouldn't let him get it, or do the guns fall off pretty easy?

On a different note - I have read both here and on other sites that people are interested in army building Dacks, I think I am missing the intent here.  is he that generic looking that he passes as  a non-specific pilot?  I guess it is just hard for me to take a figure with a somewhat significant name and roll and turn him into an army builder (plus I don't really army build).

I think its because the figure has what looks to be a non-customized paint job on his helmet.  IIRC isn't that same white paint job with blue rebel symbols seen on a number of unnamed rebel pilots?  Basically with his helmet on he looks generic enough to be an army builder, even if we all know better. ;)

Maybe it's the new uniforms for Star Tours 2? If so, God help the poor cast members!

Considering the costumes/uniforms that the cast members generally wear this one fits right in with the rest.  Not that their uniforms look particularly Star Warsy, but they look pretty Disney.

I think the figure looks fine considering this will probably only be for sale in the Disney parks.  People buy pretty much whatever is out for sale in the parks, so I doubt they'll be disappointed in sales.  Hopefully the rest of the set will be more exciting.

Its about 4:30, so there are a lot of other cars on the road and we're on one of the main roads thru town.  There are two lanes going each way, plus a center turn lane and its a 40.  I'm in the left lane and we're approaching a car sitting in the turn lane waiting to turn left across traffic (there are a bunch of lights, so this person will get to turn in a minute or so anyway..), the car in front of me comes to a dead stop from 40 to let the other car (without the right of way) turn left, but since its two lanes each way, we had to wait for someone in the left lane also to come to a stop.

Seriously?  Who taught you to drive that you have to yield the right of way to every car that is attempting to make a turn anywhere?  Do you stop at green lights to allow the cars stopped at the red lights to go through also?

I went there over break (I am a teacher) and I kid you not all they had were 2 pegs full of Yarna and a peg filled with Leia/Xizor comic packs.

Yup.  And the basic figs were $9.99 if I recall (or was it $11.99?).  They did have the whole line of Disney themed Star Wars characters though.  I can't recall all of them but I bought the Chip and Dale as Ewoks set.  I think Donald was a Stormtrooper, Goofy was Vader, etc.  So hopefully the McR2 :) will be easy to find.

Nice, I just got back from Disney, too bad about the timing, this would have been fun to pick up.  I wonder what the distribution for this would be like in the parks (some Star Wars/Disney stuff you can find throughout the parks and hotels, but other stuff you can only get outside Star Tours).  Maybe I'll be able to convince my parents to take a ride over to Downtown Disney and go through the toy store they have (its basically all Hasbro stuff...)

With a new Cloud Car coming out, a new pilot makes perfect sense to me.

Agreed.

Since the Cloud Car is coming out I think it should be obvious that Hasbro would release a figure to drive it.  I know that hasn't been the way they've operated in the past, but to release a ship and not either pack in a driver or separately release a driver (which is probably more profitable for Hasbro), is bound to reduce sales of that vehicle.
