the movies are in the cheapo slim cases that you find with TV Season DVDs
Yeah Brad, it sucks basically. Box sets should be nice. I'm fine with Family Guy being in slim cases, it's just a tv show with multiple episodes per disc. But the Bond films are fairly major film each in their own right, so they deserve a bit more than that.
Oy. I lurves the slim cases. TV shows, movies, whatever. Standard keepcases take up way too much real estate. I've even given considerable thought to converting much of my collection over to slim cases. Oh well--matter of taste, I suppose.

Not much of a Bond fan here, but I don't envy the people who are, due to the way those films have been handled on DVD. Going in and out of production, tied into the theatrical releases, all kinds of various exclusive bonus discs, mish-mash box sets. . . ugh. I know the reason the box sets are the way they are, and aren't spread out chronologically/by actor--'cause the studios aren't idiots, and they know that if they arranged them logically, people would just go out and buy the set with their particular favorite Bond (Connery, Brosnan, whoever) and skip the ones with the other guys. So they mix-and-match, and make people buy 'em all. Sucks, but it makes good business sense.
I'd say importing one of the sets from another region is the way to go for Bond fans, as long as they've got a region-free player. . .
