The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Episode 3 Flubs
« on: June 22, 2005, 11:46 AM »
The first time I saw the film I noticed the Luminara issue immediately.  It turns out that a totally different actress played her.

I didn't notice any of the other ones mentioned.

Vintage Kenner / Re: A-Wing Pilot Variant?
« on: June 22, 2005, 10:29 AM »
I also did some research on all the major collecting sites.  All of the pictures with carded A-Wing pilots are the dark brown version.  I can't find a picture of a carded light brown pilot anywhere.

Toy Reviews / Re: New JD Review: Wookiee Warrior (Sneak Preview)

Yeah, it's pretty much a difference of opinion with George Lucas really.  :-\

I have am a MOC/Loose hybrid collector.  The Wookie weapons and other accessories were just too ornate and goofy looking compared to what I imagined.  I'm just not crazy about them.  I know a lot of people really liked them, and that's cool with me.  They can have their wookies, just give me more clones.   ;D

Does anybody collect the Star Wars gift cards?  Like the ones at Wal-Mart & Target.

That is the absolute BEST cover I have seen for one of the coffee table style star wars publications.  Very classy!

Not to mention the fantastic contents, I am so very interested.   ;D

Another great review Jesse!  At the risk of being flamed, I'm going to admit that for some reason, I never got on the Wookie bandwagon.  I just haven't been too excited about the wookies and this figure was my least favorite of the sneak preview figures.  Don't get me wrong, Wookies are cool, and I did enjoy the brief scene of Kashyyyk.  I just haven't been impressed with the Wookies of ROTS.  The wookie accessories look a little goofy to me, and no matter how hard I try, I just can't get excited about them.   :-\

Thanks guys!  I'll be moving back home, so I probably won't be doing any more for a while.  I've been on the road for a year and a half.  I am really looking forward to being home finally.   ;D

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Pegwarmers?
« on: June 21, 2005, 10:17 PM »
Along with the usual ROTS Pegwarmers, our local TRU has a ton of VOTC Lando and Saga Zam Wessel warming the pegs.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS Recent Purchases
« on: June 21, 2005, 05:35 PM »
Blue Saber Palpatine out of a one of the TRU dump buckets. Sitting in the bottom and as I walked up the blue saber caught my eye. As I got a closer look, I realized what I was looking at and started digging though 4 feet of toys to get to it.

Nice find!
