You were at Chiller this weekend?  Weird!  It's a small world, because I was at the show, too.

That's definitely not a bad price.  Those were all pretty tough to find the first time around.  Good score!

How about a nice Silver Oak Cabernet.  A 1995 Alexander Valley, perhaps?

Saga '02-'04 / Re: How Is Distribution?
« on: April 27, 2003, 08:31 PM »
I've only found new figures at WalMart.  The problem there is that this is the only chain in the northeast that seems to be getting new figures.  Why?  Because they don't have too much stock to begin with.  And when they order, they only get so much.  3-4 cases of Basic Figures seems like a lot for a WalMart.  And since this is the only chain that seems to be getting anything, there are even more collectors and scalpers going to these stores and almost immediately cleaning out the SW stock.

The real issue still seems to be the stock situation at mass retailers like KayBee and Toys R Us.  These retailers still haven't gotten anything new because they're still dealing with excess stock from the holidays.  Not a popular answer, but an accurate one.  When these stores start getting new figures, things will be a whole lot easier to deal with.

I decided to kick Shania off my 5 Hottie Island.  Taking here place?  Rachel Weisz!

Oh. My. God.

Rachel Weisz is super hot. You have graduated to very cool in my eyes,  congratulations.   ;)

Awww, shucks!

I'd have to ask for a Belgian white ale.  Corsendonk, preferably

Ok everyone, riddle me this... Did Darkness Falls come out Tuesday (4/22) or not? The TV spots said it had that date as a release, but Ive checked a couple of Targets and WalMarts, all of which are flawless in getting new releases out on Tuesdays, and none of them had it, or knew about it.

Pretty sure I saw it when I was in target yesterday.

Have any of you guys used the Fountain playset piece from this line as a Theed prop for your SW dioramas?  Just curious.  Been thinking about getting that piece for that express purpose.

Nice to know Target still gets new stuff in.  My local store has been terrible for the past 5-6 months.

Sorry CC.  Didn't mean to offend your anti-Shania tendencies.  But I thought she belonged on my top 5 list.  In the mean time, keep enjoying your bald guys. :)

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Most wanted resculpts!
« on: April 19, 2003, 12:00 AM »
I'll stick to some of the glaring examples, and go by film.

THE PHANTOM MENACE
-Qui-Gon Jinn-Jedi Duel (couldn't they just realscan Liam Neeson?!  An absolutely awful likeness)
-Qui-Gon Jinn-Naboo (ditto)
-Battle Droid (The EPISODE I versions were quaint.  The SAGA version are too bendy.  We need something in the middle, like the POTJ Security Battle Droid without the markings)

ATTACK OF THE CLONES
-Anakin Skywalker-Outland Peasant Disguise
-Anakin Skywalker-Hangar Duel (a potentially good figure done in by the action feature)
-Padme Amidala-Arena Escape (my mother told me if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.  I have nothing to say about this figure other than "The chain is nice.  So's the pillar")
-Mace Windu-Geonosian Escape

A NEW HOPE
-R5-D4
-Owen Lars
-Grand Moff Tarkin
-Dr. Evazan
-Luke Skywalker in Stormtrooper disguise
-Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
-Hoth Rebel Soldier
-Zuckuss
-4-LOM
-Lobot
-Han Solo in Carbonite (ROTJ also)
-Captain Piett

RETURN OF THE JEDI
-Jabba the Hutt
-Lando Calrissian-General
-Arvel Crynyd (how about the real one, this time...the guy who crashes his A-Wing into the Bridge of the Executor?)
