I'll pick up some of the titles you recommended, but do yourself a favor:

pick up the TPB "TRANSMETROPOLITAN: Lust for Life"

You'll be hooked. Trust me!

SPIDER JERUSALEM tells the TRUTH!
(you'll know what that means when you read the book.)

For recent, I like "Almost Famous."

For all time, I like "Monty Python's The Meaning of Life."

Nitrous Oxide...uh, huh huh huh huh...

Ethyl Chloride used to be a weird smell I enjoyed.

Keep in mind, I haven't smelled either one in close to 15 years...

Gasoline is nice.

The greatness of the Samba.

And the Doc Marten 1925. Mine are older though and don't have the tacky yellow stitching.

I'm a huge Vertigo fan. TRANSMETROPOLITAN is greatest comic of all time (have them all). I also love HELLBLAZER (most), PREACHER(all) & SANDMAN(all). Never got into superhero comics other than BATMAN (half) and SPIDERMAN (most of the McFarlane issues). Kinda dug SPAWN for a while. I have all the STAR WARS TPBs.

I mainly don't collect single issues unless the TPB hasn't come out yet. I love TPBs because I don't have to wait a month for the story to continue and you get complete story arcs. Plus, they are easier to keep in good condition.

I used to totally dig Darkhorse, but they've slipped, at least to me, in the last few years.

I'm about to check out THE WATCHMEN. I've heard good things about them.

The greatest comic artists of all time? Alex Ross, Darick Robertson, Steve Dillon, Joe Quesada. Greatest writers: Alan Moore, Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Frank Miller, Matt Wagner, Grant Morrison.

We'll still get Keyshawn. We're way under the cap. The Bucs are just going to cut him. With Keyshawn, we can afford to cut Galloway before his signing bonus kicks in. Galloway was a failed bit. He showed signs of greatness but showed no consistency. He's a really nice guy and a team player (which he didn't have that rep before he got here) but Parcells would rather have that big possession receiver than the speedy guy who drops alot of bombs, anyway.

Keyshawn will have a star on his helmet, soon. He's already closing the deal on a house here.

OK, so my FAVORITE time of year is almost upon us. I propose we set up a STAR WARS bracket on ESPN.com and see who is this board's god of college hoops. I would want to include everyone on Rebelscum and JediDefender because of the overlap. Does this sound interesting to anyone?

Consider this the gauntlet cast to the hardwood...

If interested, I'll set us up an account and post the usergroup name and password here in this thread.

If one of them airs during the SUper Bowl, I hope it's the current frontrunner with the kids all working adult jobs. It's not too abrasive and gets its point across very well...

It has to do with how the file is ripped. It has nothing to do with piracy protection as far as I know. Also, sometimes there are "hiccups" while downloading. Sometimes, these are responsible for glitches. If you have SoundForge, there is a "glitch error" repairer...

I use dB Power Amp, too...

Hey, if the COWBOYS wash out, gloat all you want. This whole season (admittedly) has been an unexpected gift for us COWBOYS fans. But the Eagles haven't beaten anybody, either. I think the Panthers will beat the Eagles. I think the Dolphins will, too. I think we'll beat the Dolphins and the Eagles game will be tough. Still, if we handle our bidness, we win the division. That's how it should be. No one wants to "back into the playoffs."

OK, your qualification of which teams are good and which are not is kind of whack. Except for the undefeated teams at the time, pretty much most of the decent teams were at .500 or worse. Cincinatti, who is on FIRE right now, was 1-3. So Philly at 2-2 still qualified as a good team which the Cowboys beat. The Cowboys also beat "one of the best teams in the NFC" yesterday. When the 49ers won all those Super Bowls in the 80s, they never played a good team except for their AFC games or the playoffs. The Rams were sorry, the Falcons were sorry and the Saints were sorry all through most of the 80s. Are you going to sit there and say the 49ers, based on their season record, weren't any good?

Your Pats got skunked 31-0 by Buffalo, whom the Cowboys beat. The Rams were 2-2 when we beat Philly, too. Are the Rams a bad team at 8-3? Your logic about which tema are good and bad holds no argument. If the Cowboys were (and I know it's a long shot) go on to win the Super Bowl, you would find some other thing to nitpick: "they didn't win by 35 points!"

Yeah, the 8-3 Cowboys haven't beaten any good teams this year... ::)

8-3 Cowboys 24
8-3 Panthers 20
