I am expecting an announcement at CEII as to the timing of the next US based Celebration. I am guessing it will be back in Orlando, especially with the Disney connection. Lots of developments will occur by Summer 2014, including the lead up to Rebels. So I plan to go, schedule willing.

Hoping I can go too, but 2014's going to be a year of a lotta little trips for me I'm afraid. :-\

Announced at CEII: Star Wars Celebration Anaheim - April 16-19, 2015

Looks like this will have to merge with the official name

2 weeks after Easter. Has Disney staked out a formal release date for Ep VII?
-
No official date for Ep VII thus far. Avengers II has a release date of May 1st & rumors for Ep VII are May 29th but who knows. Few big flicks May/June so they would want to avoid a release crossover for making the uber bucks!

Seems kicking off early is in their best interests... movies haven't had much life later in the season this year.
I'm only sticking to Orlando... My buddy Jim has me covered on a place to stay (thank god) or I'd not go at all I think. Just too much to travel these days for me if I can't drive it. I'm wanting to hit up this, never been to Anaheim, but it's off the table for me. I'm sure it'll be back in Orlando... Wouldn't be shocked if it was back to Orlando for 8 even. I think at the Disney Parks, it's really the best place to hold these. I used to think the mid-west was better, but at this point how can you not want these at a Disney Park?

Anaheim is sure a hell of a lot closer than Orlando for this western Canuck. My daughters will be 8 and almost 14 then, I wonder if the older one will still think it's cool to hang out with her dad around a bunch of Star Wars geeks. :P

Did she ever? :-*

From what I understand, the convention center in Anaheim is very close to Disneyland. That seems very likely to have been a significant factor in steering the location of Celebration 7. As locations go, I know that there have been a lot of comments from fans who would like to see a Star Wars Celebration in their region. But with Disney in charge now I can see the methodology in keeping Celebration close to one of the theme parks.
As for the timing? It's actually in line with the timing of the first three Star Wars Celebrations, which were all scheduled just a few weeks before the release of each of the Prequel Trilogy movies. It may not be ideal to get away for families during the school year. But I can recall seeing plenty of families in attendance at both Celebration 2 and Celebration 3. If people really want to go, they're going to go.
I hope that Reed is going to stay on as the promoter. I like how they've built up New York Comic Con, although I didn't get a chance to attend the Star Wars Celebrations that they promoted. And I think they probably did a far better job than the promoters who did Celebration 2, 3 and 4.

Well, I, she, um... Damn. :'(

I agree about Reed staying involved, I thought they did a hell of a good job for CV in Orlando.

I know, I felt like a dick for saying that buddy, I'm sorry. *hugs*
I'm sure she liked hanging out with dad, but probably only enjoyed making fun of the geeks. :)
At 14 I think she'll be too mortified to be near the geeks. :( I've hit that impasse with Diane's kids at this point.

I'm working on getting a booth for the Endor Express.Net web site. Kris (the owner of the site) wants to do a panel discussion about the building of Star Tours with Tony Baxter. That depends if Baxter is available and Disney allows it. We also want to do a group ride over at Disneyland on one of the days. Maybe a group photo? We are pretty excited about it.
-
For the first time, I think i'll think about going.
-
What do you guys think of a UGP II (Ultimate Group Project II) like at Celebration IV? What if we built a fan-based version of a Star Wars land to replace Tomorrowland at Disneyland?
-
I can't recall but wasn't a 2nd attempt at an UGP tried for the last Celebration, or 5 maybe? Tough sledding coordinating it all, shipping it all, etc. The logistics of it seemed to be in the way, always, not to mention just agreeing to the details...
I miss the C3 FFURG customizing booth. That was fun, but harrowing as well. Thank god most of who participated in that was within driving distance and brought their own stuff. :-\
Thems were the days.

We killed it when we found out that it was going to be in Florida. We didn't have anyone that could receive packages there. C4 was easy for me to coordinate and gettings things shipped to me worked out well. Thanks to great people like Ryan, JediMac and Darth_Anton the logistics of running the booth and setup was managable.
It was actually a great time. Now that it is in Anaheim, it should be easier than Los Angeles was.

I dunno why they dropped VII and are just going with Celebration Anaheim. Seems like a natural since it's promoting Episode VII after all. I'm sure we'll go back to numbers for C X, though.
-
Anyone buy tickets yet to this? I took care of it yesterday. Seems to be no rush. All levels are still for sale. I guess they mail you the tickets.
-
Does anyone need tickets for the saturday? I'm unable to go saturday. I can give you a small discount on them.

The San Diego Star Wars Society will have a booth at C A and will be giving away 13 pins throughout the con. The pins will be given away when you play a game we have, a new one will be given out every couple of hours and one exclusive pin for attending our panel. These pins are official LFL Collectible's, we have a few artist in the club so they are really nice freebies. Please stop by and collect yours.
-
Sounds like the lines are forming already...good luck and safe travels to everyone attending. And if anyone can help a brotha' out with a jumbo Droids 3-PO I'd be eternally grateful. ;D
-
Have fun Carlos, hope it's a good time. :)

I was in too much pain to go :'( There was a exhibitor badge waiting up there.

Anyone have any freebies they can give out :-*
