2022 1027 Pulse Premium Livestream Black Series 6" Reveals
« on: October 28, 2022, 12:17 PM »
Last night some new Black Series figures were revealed as part of the 1027 Hasbro livestream and made available for pre-order.  I didn't even realize there was a "1027 Hasbro livestream".  Is that number significant in Hasbro lore or is it just the date?

Anyhow, here they are.  Maybe Jeff can put in affiliate links to Amazon for these:
- Cal Kestis
- Din Djarin (Morak)
- Boba Fett (ROTJ 40th Anniversary Card)

Is the Boba Fett new in any way, or just repacked on a fancy new card?  I know the last one we got was technically ESB and this is ROTJ

1027 is the street address on Hasbro's HQ building.

I didn't even realize there was a "1027 Hasbro livestream".

It was a Pulse Premium member event so not widely publicized unless you are a premium member.  We had posted the links on our twitter last night but I guess I forgot to toss them in here somewhere -

Din Djarik (Morak -> https://amzn.to/3NhrJJY
40th ROTJ Carded Fett - https://amzn.to/3gJFswN
Gaming Greats Cal -> https://hasbropulse.com/products/star-wars-the-black-series-cal-kestis

Is the Boba Fett new in any way, or just repacked on a fancy new card?  I know the last one we got was technically ESB and this is ROTJ

It is based off the DLX 6" ROTJ Fett sculpt but I'm not knowledgable enough on the BS6" stuff to tell you how/why it is different from that boxed DLX release.

Why are they making a third version of Cal Kestis in the 6" line???  Do people love this character that much?

I think Hasbro believes that the gamer community is much more interested in The Black Series as a toy line.  If you check out the toy section at most GameStop stores you’ll see far more 6” figures in general.  That seems to be the preferred scale for that demographic.
